Friend: A house representative is trying to make a new amendment so Trump can run another term. The wording goes that only a president who has had a non-consecutive term can run for a third term of 4 years.
Me: at that point, I'd rather exhume Grover Cleveland and nominate him for third term

ATTENTION PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, I think i have it now and i appreciate it.
I’ve just made a bet against my Dad that if this post gets 2 million notes then i can get a Puppy. [like the one underneath]
Tumblr media
I didn’t realise how much 2 million was and i couldn’t take that number down now. It should look like 2,000,000 in the notes bar.
He’s convinced that this will never reach that number, and very confident about it so Let’s prove him wrong!! He thinks this will get about 25 notes beofre it’s left in the dust.
You don’t have to do it for me. But for the point and to prove him wrong. He has to pay and everything so let’s make him suffer with it!!
I’m counting on you!!!
Remember it’s 2,000,000!

just imagine the sound I made when I realized I had mildliners that matched these gem stickers perfectly! ‪—‬ tbh this is probably one of my favorite spreads, especially this study tracker! (also, i’m laughing at my use of “today we fight!” next to various hearts and very soft butterflies)

Everyone needs breaks for their health and wellbeing, so here is some of my advice about breaks that I find works for me.
DISCLAIMER: I am not a professional, and am not claiming that all of this will be applicable to you. Your own needs will almost certainly be different to mine.
Burnout
Burnout is what happens when you work too hard and/or for too long. The amount that too hard/too long is depends hugely on the individual person. The symptoms of burnout (not just for studying!) include:
physical, emotional, and/or mental exhaustion
mental or physical health conditions seeming worse
feeling more angry, anxious, irritable or depressed than usual
feelings of apathy or hopelessness
thinking that the tasks you’re doing are either mind-numbingly dull or overwhelming and too much to handle
feeling like you’re not being productive enough
a loss of motivation
viewing the tasks you’re doing as pointless
feeling unable to perform those tasks at all.
To try and prevent burnout, people need to take breaks from whatever’s causing them that stress. In this case, I’ll be talking about studying. Breaks from that stress occur after work has been completed when people go on to other aspects of their life, and I’ll be making another post on self care in general soon, but in this post, I’ll be focusing on the breaks we take during a study session.
In my opinion, there are three types of break.
1. Productive Break
This is the break you take because you feel like you ought to, but you could easily keep studying and actually want to. Your motivation and energy are high and you feel capable of carrying on.
It can be hard to decide to take a break when you feel so willing and able to keep studying, but you still should. I would say after between half an hour and an hour of work is a good time for a productive break, but less (or more, to some extent) is fine.
Tips
If you want to keep working on something, don’t keep working on the same thing. Switch to something else, ideally something easier and more relaxing. It doesn’t have to be school related, either. If you like to journal, try working on that a bit. If you draw, use the time to sketch something.
Exercise. If you’re able to, using your energy in another way is a good way to care for yourself and continue to feel productive during your break.
Clean/tidy up. If you’re at home, this is a good way to get away from your work for a bit, and makes the space around you nicer to work in.
2. Rest Break
This is the break you take because you’re beginning to feel tired of working. You could keep going, but you’d really like to stop for a bit.This break feels appealing, and often comes during a natural pause.
When that desire to stop for a bit comes is very different for different people. Even if the desires for a break are only five minutes apart, that’s okay. If you want to keep going anyway for a bit longer, you can, but don’t ignore what your mind and body are telling you for too long.
Tips
Change location. Wherever you are, getting up and moving to a different spot for this break will help you to feel more separated from your work and more like you’re actually resting.
Do something fun and brain stimulating. This can help you get back on track when you return to working afterwards, as it prevents you from losing your mind’s focus completely. You could try reading, talking to friends, playing on your phone, completing a word puzzle, whatever you want, as long as it doesn’t feel like a chore.
Close your eyes. Especially if you’ve been staring at a screen or a textbook for a long time, giving your eyes a rest can help you to feel better. If meditation is your thing, now could be a good time for it.
3. Self Care Break
This is the break you take because you feel less than great. It could be because you’re nearing burnout from studying, because other factors in your life are causing you stress, because your needs aren’t being met, or because your mental or physical health isn’t ideal.
If you think you need a self care break, take it immediately. The quicker you look after yourself once you’ve identified the need, the better off you’ll be. Whether you come back to studying after or decide this is a sign you need to stop for the day depends on you.
Tips
Work out what’s wrong. This is easier said than done, but just knowing why you feel this way can help you to work towards overcoming it.
Do something you enjoy that doesn’t require effort or energy. Whether it’s scrolling through tumblr, meditation, watching kitten videos or listening to an album you like, let yourself just rest and feel happy, and try to let your mind feel quieter.
Have a tasty snack or drink. This refills your body with nutrition and energy, and works as a nice treat. Size or healthiness doesn’t matter, pick whatever you feel comfortable and happy with.
If you have any other suggestions, feel free to add them here, send them to me or tag me in them!

In celebration of 800 followers, I decided to make these simple marble daily planners!
For my simple and minimalistic fellas out there, some planners are way too crowded and full of rather unnecessary things, so I made this simple version for those who need just an overall planning of their day.
They’re available in 4 colors: gold/brownish, blue, pink and white.
Are included:
date section beside the title;
schedule section from 6am to 10pm;
to do list section;
projects section;
quote of the day section.
You can download them here.
If you happen to use them post a pic and tag it with #theartofstudying so I can give it a like~
Thank you again for being 800+ amazing people on this studying journey with me. Let’s get it done!

✨My June spreads w/ tropical green theme 🌴✨
I really love how the month’s cover came out (even though I was video chatting with my friends and I ended up laughing and accidentally cut the paper out of proportion 🙃😂).

100 Days of Productivity - Day 77/100 April 19th, 2018
I continued work on SOR notes today, which was pretty productive. I am currently at a sleepover with my friends - we have eaten much junk food, watched many movies, danced to many songs and taken many interesting photos… I love my friends (and I also love simultaneously eating two boxes of Shapes whilst watching Dirty Dancing at 1am)
