i don’t have any real visual updates for u, but the peg box on the scroll has been chiseled! which is to say, it is now a box rather than a solid chunk of maple. all that’s left is cleaning, beveling, and fluting on the outside of the scroll,, very exciting things happening indeed.
also for those curious, that’s my classmate’s bench where they’re working on an exterior mold. i’ve only shown interior molds on here so far, just thought i’d point it out for the avid follower of my luthiering tidbits lolol

19 August 2022, Friday.
The last week has been difficult. I've been struggling to meet deadlines and complete tasks, while simultaneously trying to keep positive and not let panic set in.
In the end it was a good nap that that helped reset everything. Working whilst sleep deprived negatively affects productivity to the point where I stay up to finish my tasks leaving me more worse off the next day.
I took a break from everything for a while and now I'm ready to do my best again.
This week I have been practicing textbook questions from cost accounting. I was finally able to get the rest of my study material and have been frantically revising tax. By the end of next week I should be able to do a revision test for taxation to assess my knowledge.

3.1.22 We’re in March already?? My February was a whirlwind of midterm cramming, spontaneous dinner with friends, and brief trips to museums. As enjoyable as last month was, I’m hoping to use this new month to try again to establish a weekly routine.

“I am so afraid of disappointing the people I love, I often forget that I am someone I love too. And I need kindness just as much as I believe the people I love do.” -Nikita Gill

Winter Studying Challenge
27th December: What was the best moment (of your Christmas)?
This Christmas I didnt have the difficult family moments of previous years. It was a quieter, more grateful christmas. I hope everyone had a nice time. Xx Emily

new — and the final — semester starts today. i'm excited about it, and i'm adequately terrified of both said semester and college ending, so it seems like a good mix

2.9.2021 | 13/100 days of productivity
pictured: my italian + geography studies from yesterday
hello kids! this morning i worked at the arch lab, found some very intriguing rim sherds, then left for the day and worked on my discussion questions for geography. now, i’m preparing to tackle yet another archaeology reading before geography class. is my entire life geography and archaeology now? for sure. i wouldn’t have it any other way.
hope you all are well ✨
