My A-Level Results
So this studyblr is so dead just because life & mental illness is happening and i can’t do anything about it at the moment, it’s kinda bad, but i graduated in June and i just wanted to tell you my grades!
I had four written exams, three on advanced level (history, english, geography) and one in maths and then an oral exam in biology.
In History I got a B (11 points out of 15) which i am really happy with as the mocks we had were worse than that 😂
In English I got an A (14 points out of 15) which i am SUPER HAPPY with but also lowkey expected
In Geography I got a C+ (9 points out of 15) which is literally the grade I am the most happy about because I was so scared I’d fail that subject😂😂😂
In Maths I got a B (11 points out of 15) which i can live with, but i was better in my mock and i felt like that exam was easy for me and seeing “only” a B was lowkey disappointing but it could be so much worse 😂🙃
In my oral exam in Biology i got an A- (13 points out of 15) which is sooo incredible as I was really hella nervous in that situation but my teacher was really damn nice to me and I also studied really hard 😊
So in total I have a GPA of 2,1 (the lower your GPA the better) and i couldn’t be happier even though I always kinda wished i would have a GPA of 1,x but i have had a hard time performing well academically in Year 12 due to mental illness and shit like that so i can forgive myself.
If you wanna know more about the exams or my studying process, like this or comment it (u can reblog too just let me know 😂😂)
Hope you have a lovely day, don’t stress out, relax and forgive yourself,
ash xx

Free Moon Card Printables
For anyone who was interested in the moon cards I made for my moon journal, I’ve created a digital file of my hand painted moon phases which are each labeled and state a focus or intent for each one. You can use these to study, put them in your grimoire, or just use them for decoration. If you share, please credit me/link.

Literally do your work as soon as you know it exists. If you get homework, do it during your free or when you get home or on the train if you really want to, on the day you get it. Just got set an assignment? Get the draft done that weekend. It doesn’t have to be amazing and absolutely ready to send in, it just needs to exist. Just got sent an email? Reply when you see it. If you’re not sure how to response to it, write Dear (), leave a gap and then write Regards () and keep that in your drafts. Set a reminder on your computer or write the reminder on a sticky note that you’ve got that sitting in your drafts and you need to send it off in the next 24 hours. Need to clean your room? Don’t spend time thinking or planning how you’re going to clean it or how you’re going to change up the space in the process, just pick stuff up and put it where it should be until everything’s in order. Done. Seriously dude, when a task arises as an issue, tackle it as soon as you realise it exists. Remember, it doesn’t need to be amazing it just needs to be done. So, when the due date of the task creeps closer, you can go back, work with what you have and make it the quality you want it to be.

25+ Self-care ideas
1. Take a moment to breath. Don’t do anything but lie in bed and look up at the ceiling.
2. Or if the act of not doing anything stresses you out, then clean. Tidy up the room for 10-15 minutes.
3. If you’re feeling lazy, grab your favorite book and browse through your favorite scenes.
4. But if you’re feeling extra lazy, take a 30-60 minute nap. Reset yourself, but be careful because it might mess up your sleep schedule.
5. If you’re feeling dehydrated, chug some water. Even if it’s not a lot, it’ll really help.
6. Add some lemon/ lime if you don’t like plain water. There’s also flavored or sparkling water if you’re into that jazz.
7. Treat yourself to some warm coffee/tea late at night. If it’s a hot summer day, afternoon ice coffee is the best.
8. Make some hot chocolate on a winter’s night and snuggle under a pile of blankets.
9. Change into your favorite pyjamas/comfy clothes. If you’re going out, wear your best outfit and doll up.
10. If you love makeup, play around with it. Find your favorite go-to makeup look. Or if you need a laugh, put on some bright red lipstick and blue eyeshadow.
11. If it’s warm out, sit outside and read. Or play a card game with a friend. Or run your fingers through the grass. Anything that makes you feel happy.
12. If you have to go out when it’s cold, pack on the layers and go for it. Once you’re done, reward yourself with a warm drink (coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc.) and watch tv or netflix.
13. Be creative. Write, draw, dance, sing, act, read. Anything.
14. Need some inspiration? Cats. Cars. Monsters. Marshmallows. Cats in cars with marshmallow monsters. Go nuts.
15. Try something new. Never wrote in the perspective of a child? Go for it. Never have drawn flowers before? Give it a try. Haven’t sang for a long time? Do it again.
16. Stretch your legs and your arms. If you’re’re up for it, go for a walk. Or run. Pretend a bear is chasing you and run for life. You’ll get such a euphoric rush I swear.
17. Take a shower. Crank up the hot water, or cold if that’s your cup of tea. Reflect on things. Or take a relaxing bath instead
18. Pet a puppy or kitty. If you don’t own one, go to a shelter and just pet them. Or you can even volunteer at some shelters to play with them.
19. Watch your smaller pets run around. Whether it’s mice, rats, gerbils, rabbits, ferrets or hamsters, they’ll sure be entertaining to watch if you’re feeling bad.
20. Browse on social media. Peek at instagram/ twitter and see what your friends are up to.
21. Talk on the phone with a old friend. Or your best friend. Maybe even your crush if you’re brave enough.
22. Cook yourself a fancy dinner. Or bake yourself some cookies or cupcakes. If you’re feeling lazy or don’t like to bake, make a mug cake.
23. Talk with family whether you live with them or not. Text your grandmother/ grandfather. Or your cousins.
24. Bullet journal. Create a new spread and write these ideas down for later. Or start one if you haven’t yet.
25. Kiss your girlfriend/ boyfriend/ lover. Tell them how much you love them

A week in my life - Wednesday (9/13/17)
6:45 AM: I woke up, turned All Time Low on, and got dressed (I wore a Hogwarts Shirt and grey jeans, also black converse) 7:00 AM: I decided to not put on Makeup today, and had breakfast. 7:20 AM: Me, my dad, my sister and my brother left for school. 7:50 AM - 3:10 PM: School ^^ I also had my music presentation that went kinda well. I also had two free periods so I managed to do all my homework then. After school, my grandpa picked me and my siblings up and drove us home. 3:30 PM: We had lunch, which I cooked since my mum was working late that day. 4 PM: I sat down at my desk, did 15 Minutes of Duolingo Dutch, but I got really frustrated half way through because I wasn't feeling well and confused a lot of vocab and then Duolingo told me that "Het spijt me" and "sorry" mean different things. Like what. xD 4:30 PM: I decided on not working out because I had light fever and took a nap instead. 6 PM: I woke up, ate some pudding and then sat down at my desk again and did 2 hours on revision notes because a) I was insanely motivated and b) I felt so much better. 8 PM: My mum and my dad came home and we had dinner :) 9 PM: I went to bed, since I was kinda tired and exhausted.

A week in my life - Tuesday (9/12/17)
6:30 AM: I woke up and turned my September Playlist on. (I will do a post with my spotify playlists if you're interested ^^) 6:35 AM: I got dressed (I wore the same clothes as yesterday) and went downstairs to do my makeup and brush my teeth. 6:55 AM: I then packed my school stuff (I had Biology and Geography today, so books and folders for both) and went downstairs again to had breakfast. 7:00 AM: Breakfast (Cereals, as usual) 7:20 AM: Me, my father, my sister and my brother left for school. We dropped my sister off on her school and then my father took us to our school (he's in 7th grade, I'm a senior), before he drove off to work, so I was at school at 7:35 maybe. 7:50 AM - 1:15 PM: School ^^ My mum picked me up, since she was already in town again ^^ (She and my dad work out of town, in case you wondered) 1:30 PM: relax till lunch (I took a nap because I was so done xD) 2:10 PM: Lunch ^^ 2:30 PM: Homework for Wednesday and the rest of the week. I again had no homework for Wednesday, but some Biology and Geography for Thursday. Also I went over my notes for a music presentation about neoclassicism I have to do on Wednesday (9/13/17). 3:30 PM: Then I did my workout directly after my homework, because I felt like if I wouldn't have get up then, I would have skipped it, which I successfully avoided ^^ 4 PM: I did 15 Minutes of Duolingo Spanish, I basically just do that because I want to keep some of my spanish skills that I developed from 6th grade to sophomore year. Around 4:20 PM I started my daily hour of graduation revision notes. I did 15 Minutes on Maths, then half an hour on history and then again 15 Minutes on Maths. 5:20 PM: I then cleaned up my desk and my room as far as I could in ten minutes, and then me and my mom left for my Cello lesson. 5:35 PM - 7 PM: I was away, my cello lesson actually only is between 6 PM and 6:45 PM, but the way to the building takes like 15 Minutes. 7:10 PM: I had dinner with my sister and my dad, my mom was practicing english and spanish with my brother and they ate later at around 8 PM. We all had soup, which tasted really good ^^ 8 PM: I then sat down at my desk, did some extra duolingo Spanish (simply because I was in the mood), set up some trackers for my mental health for September (I know I'm late >.<), updated this and then I went and watched some YouTube. 8:50 PM: I then became super motivated and I did half an hour of Geography revision notes. 9:20 PM: I went downstairs, had a nice chat with my brother and my mom, and then we tested each other on my brother's spanish and english vocab which is really funny, because I always know the most vocabulary ^^ 9:40 PM: I then went upstairs again, went to bed, because I was tired and didn't want to drink more coffee than usual the next morning. I also posted this, so.. yeah, here we go ^^

A week in my life - Monday (9/11/17)
8:00 AM: Wake up, turn some punk rock music up (I love Green Day songs on a low volume, but I recently started getting into All Time Low too, because they really cheer me up) 8:10 AM: Get up, get dressed (I wore a striped T-Shirt today, black high waist jeans, Vans and a black cardigan) 8:20 AM: makeup and brush teeth 8:30 AM: Pack school stuff (if not done the night before xD I needed my history folder and book today, and also my english folder and the book 'To kill a mockingbird' that we're currently reading in english) 8:40 AM: Breakfast!! (I had cereals this morning, just like every other day too.) 9:45 AM - 1:15 PM: School! After that, I usually get picked up by my mom or I walk home like today. 1:30 PM: relax till lunch (typically around 2pm; I just went on YouTube and watched an interesting ducomentary about Anne Frank) Around 2:20 PM: Homework for Tuesday (which was none today, lucky me ^^), and if it's before 3 PM, I usually begin with all the other homework I have to do for the rest of the week. I do that chronologically, so the stuff for Wednesday first, then for Thursday and so on. I had to do History today, and nothing else, so I finished earlier than usually. Around 2:50 PM: Relax till 4 PM ^^ (I laid in my bed because I was really cold, went on YouTube, took some Buzzfeed Quizzes and scrolled through tumblr for study inspo ^^) 4 PM: my at home workout for Monday!! If I decide to share my workout with you, you'll find it here. 4:15 PM: I then went showering quickly, maybe only 5 mins to get the sweat off of me. After that I typically chill until 4:30 PM. 4:30 PM: 15 Minutes of Duolingo Dutch :) I started with Duolingo dutch in summer, but I lost my motivation and didn't keep it up. Since two weeks, I'm scheduling it into my days, so I keep this habit ^^ 5:00 PM: I then typically spend one hour of my afternoon on writing revision notes for my graduation exams down. I will talk about that method I use very very soon, especially for my german folks out there ^^. Today I spend half an hour on English and the other half an hour on Geography. 6:00 PM: After that scheduled hour, I cleaned up my desk (which took me about 1 Minute lol) and then I set myself a timer of ten minutes and just tidied my room and tried to accomplish as much as possible, since I am a quite chaotic and messy person. My room never looks perfectly cleaned up, and you will find dust in my room, but I do this to not completely drown in Chaos ^^ 6:10 PM: After that I sat down and wrote the first half of this haha, I decorated my BuJo, planned and wrote a bit on my novel (that I just write for fun haha), played with my sister (she's nine and she's lovely *-*) and then I tested my brother (12) on his english vocab. Around 7:45 PM: I prepared dinner with my Dad and Sister, we had bread, butter, cheese, salami, carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms, apple slices, grapes and chocolate bars for dessert. We then placed all that on our living room table. 8:15 PM: We all sat in front of the TV and had dinner. This is normal for us on Mondays, since its some kind of weird tradition for me, my siblings and my parents to watch Inspector Barnaby on Monday nights while having dinner. 9:45 PM: My sister and my brother were send to bed, like every monday, and me and my parents watched the second episode of Inspector Barnaby. 11:15 PM: I went straight to bed after that episode, because it's not in my normal sleeping pattern and I was reeeeally tired.

READ/WRITE
take notes during the lecture
underline, highlight, or circle printed material
borrow other students’ notes to compare and contrast
use a variety of colors, pens, highlighters, note cards, etc
write it out, re-write your notes, create mind-maps
make and use flashcards for studying
KINESTHETIC

I use a regular backpack (mine's by eastpack) and I use the little bag in the front for small stuff, extra pens and everything I noted down under "other important stuff" and I just manage to have the rest with me in my backpack or pockets in like my jackets 😅 I don't even know how😂 but I don't have that much to take with me in terms of school stuff (books etc)
What to put in your school bag!!
The usual school stuff
Your books, folders, note pads… the essentials for every single subject you attend today.
Extra sheets for notes! You can take loose leaf sheets, note pads, smaller note pads… just anything in case you need some for notes, doodling or anything else ;)
Pencil pouch!! I’ll do a separate ‘what to put in your pencil pouch’ and link it here then.
PLANNER!! Don’t forget your planner. You’ll regret it if you do.
Make sure all your homework for today is in your bag!! There is nothing worse than spending hours and energy on homework and then not being able to present it because you forgot it at home!
Some other supplies that MIGHT be handy:
Glue
Scissors
Washi tape
Post it’s/ Page flags
Calculator
Atlas
Charger (I keep one for my phone and one for my calculator with me)
Compass
Pen refills
Food
Definitely keep a bottle of something to drink in your bag. I’d recommend water, any juice mixed with water or self made flavored water (I’ll do a post on that also) but you can basically take anything with you, even though water works best and is the healthiest.
I also keep a smaller bottle of coffee with me because I need that caffeine to stay productive and not letting the sleep overwhelm me in class, but that’s up to you. Tea also works super good!!
Take some healthy snacks with you every day. I’d recommend fruit or vegetable of any kind you prefer, but trail mixes are also fine!
Keep some (preferably healthy) bars in your school bag in case you have nothing to eat. Eat that bar then!!
If your school offers lunch, for god’s sake take the opportunity and get some warm, nice nurturing food in you!! It will only help you in classes after lunch (if you’re not eating as much as I once did and I felt so satisfied and warmish and tired and fell asleep xD)
If your school does not offer lunch, take some lunch with you!!
I also have some dark chocolate in my bag, because I frickin love it xD
Other important stuff :)
Keep some money in your bag. You never know when you might need it. I usually keep 10 euros in my bag, just in case.
Anything you need for extracurricular activity!! (e.g. sports clothes etc)
Ever since I first saw someone doing this, I keep an emergency bag in my school bag. That bag contains…
Deodorant
Bobby pins
Ribbons
Tampons (I’m a girl lol and I am not on birth control.. so these saved me a couple times xD)
Nail files/ emery boards (I was the SAVIOR of my friends so many times xD)
My ID
Hand cream
Lip balm
I also always keep a lighter with me and some gum, due to one of my friends being a smoker and she somehow sometimes forgets her lighter and gum, and also you can perfectly light candles with them. And tbh.. gum is always good xD
Feel free to add anything!! Also this is what I do and it is in no way an obligation to do everything :) it’s basically supposed to be a guideline and I hope that that is understandable :)

Declutter Your Life
Tumblr media
I’ve resolved that every Wednesday, I will write a masterpost about self care and living clean and happy lifestyles. Mainly because my blog is devoted to that too, besides being a studyblr, but I hardly ever post original content about it, so hereeee we go. :)
Plan first
Make a list of areas you want to tackle
Or items you want to go through
Set how long you’ll clean
And a little reward for yourself when you’ve reached that goal
Envision what you want your space to look like at the end
Set aside three baskets or areas: one for things to keep, one for things to trash, and one for things to donate/sell
House
There are just some ideas of things to get rid of or pare down. Feel free to add your own. :)
Bedroom
unnecessary pillows on your bed or extra blankets
monsters under your bed
chargers, wires, etc. that go to devices you don’t have anymore or that are broken
old devices, phones, ipods
books you felt kinda eh about while reading them
copies of books or CDs
old notebooks
sticky notes that have lost their stickiness
broken pencils
markers that have dried up
any art supply you don’t use
scrap paper that’s gotten too small
scrap yarn that’s gotten too small
old art projects
unfinished art projects
papers
candles w/o any smell
Scentsy-type stuff w/o any smell
Closet
clothes that don’t fit
all of those clothes you save for your “ugly days”
shoes that hurt that you don’t even like the looks of
underwear with holes (or blood stains - ya feel me, girls?)
socks without a matching pair
socks with holes
bras that are even looking tired
copies of clothes, like multiple white t-shirts
jewelry you don’t wear
childish jewelry
broken jewelry
Bathroom
hygiene products past their expiration date
faded towels
bottles with only a few drops of product left
worn out toothbrushes
hairbands that have lost their elasticity
congealed nail polish
makeup you regret buying
Digital Life
Social Media
Unfollow people, be merciless, make your social media a place of positivity
unfriend toxic people (see the next section)
go through your own posts and delete anything you regret posting
take social media breaks
Computer
upload all of your photos to Google photos or flickr or photobucket or onedrive or whatever, or even a CD, then delete them from your memory
also back up important documents or just things you want to keep to something else and delete them on your computer
go through and sort everything into files
delete any programs you don’t use
Phone
clean out your pictures, upload them to cloud or whatever
delete all of the apps you don’t use or need
go through your contacts and delete the people you don’t want to contact anymore
delete old text message conversations
give yourself a new background too, something clean and simple
Relationships
Get rid of those people who are toxic in your life, mute notifications from them, unfollow them on social media (you can unfollow someone one facebook without unfriending them), don’t answer them often
make an effort to interact with people face-to-face rather than through text or the internet
decide who you want to actively invest your energy in
School
make a study schedule
prioritize your schedule – study the hardest subjects the most
remember that grades are important
also remember that grades aren’t everything
(pls don’t fire me from being a studyblr)
if you can’t get everything you need to do done in 24 hours without sacrificing 8 hours of sleep and a bit of time for yourself, then you’re doing too much
Best tip to stay decluttered: Learn to say no.
