Miki shrugged her shoulders and laughed. Ari seemed nice, which wasn’t a common trait among most people in the city. She felt a little too guilty to ask for food after already asking for directions.

Whew, she took that surprising well. Thank goodness. Most people from the city wouldn’t have reacted with such grace. Though, the other did seem a bit uneasy, which was understandable.  

“Hah, Thanks! That’s comforting to know.  I’m Miki, Miki Asai. It’s nice to meet you Ari!

It takes Ari a moment to process the whole “Satellite” bit. She often forgot that people from across that small channel of water were so despised by those from the city. She shakes her head, gently wringing her fingers from slight anxiety. So being nice and open to others was still new to her…

“Oh. Oh! Well…I’m not from here originally, so you don’t have to worry about any sort of anti-Satellite stuff from me. I’m Ari, by the way. Ari Henare.”

Continuing to observe the other female, Miki began to notice something unique about them. Their nails seemed unusually long. Not in an unkempt way, but like they were just growing like that. Like claws almost. Their eyes were even rather strange. For some reason, she did not feel afraid. This person, if they even were a person, did not seem harmful. Not that Miki had the best intuition. Satellite was filled with odd people. 

Her smile faded a bit, lost in thought. Where did she leave it last? Oh right-- she was riding around the city last night. She then stopped to take a look at New Domino, it most likely was there. It wasn’t the most responsible place to leave such an item, thinking back on it. Her expression then brightened once more. 

“Wow, thanks! I think I left it down near Sector C, by that huge abandoned building and the Daedalus Bridge. At least, that’s what I think it’s called. Do you know the area?”

Stardust’s gaze softened as her wings twitched slightly at the other’s words. Humans rarely reacted to her appearance the way this girl did. Normally, their gazes were struck with fear and awe, probably having never seen a Duel Spirit outside of a Duel before in their life. But this….this human was different. 

Stardust was silent as she studied the girl, the eye surrounded by scales gleaming a light shade of red. It only took a few moments for the girl’s heartbeat to begin echoing in the humanoid’s ears and the girl’s emotions flooding into her mind. This human seemed…friendly. This was surprising, especially judging by their current location. However, that didn’t bother Stardust at all. 

She lowered her arms so that her claws were brushing against her legs, tapping them gently. “Of course. I am more than willing to assist you. Do you recall where you may have left it last?”

“New Domino...?”

Oh wow, was she lost. The rows and rows of buildings suddenly made sense now. Well, this place didnt seem dangerous, at least. That must be worth something. A sheepish grin surfaced upon her lips. 

��Yes, actually. If that’s not too much trouble. Eh─ I should probably mention i’m from Satellite. I think there’s a tunnel around here, or something? I remember walking down that, then I guess I ended up here. It’s been a long day...”

“This is Residential Block C of New Domino. No worries, though. This place can be a total maze sometimes.”

She gives a small wave of her hand, gesturing to the mountain of buildings behind her.

“Need help finding your way out?”

“Er─ yeah! I parked it somewhere around here and now I can’t seem to find it.”

She laughed, grinning sheepishly. Satellite was a confusing place, considering most of it was crumbling. Miki at least perceived it as such. Perhaps to someone who has grown up in this environment, it is much easier to handle. She wouldn't know, obviously. The others movements seemed tense. Though, she could be looking to deep into things. A stranger walking up and asking stuff might startle most people.

“Do you mind helping me out? This place can get pretty freaky when walking around alone.” 

Stardust’s wings twitched a little when she heard the female’s voice. She froze, unsheathing her claws and narrowing her eyes. It sounded like a human, but she couldn’t be sure. Turning around, she faced the girl standing behind her. After a few moments, Stardust’s gaze relaxed as she saw that the girl was indeed a human and showed no signs of being a threat. 

The question puzzled the humanoid at first. She tipped her head to the side a little, her blue eyes gleaming in the sunlight. 

“No, I have not.” Stardust replied simply, folding her arms over her chest. “I haven’t seen one in a while, in fact. Why do you ask? Did you lose yours?”

She was a little surprised at his response, not really expecting much. Still, it was much appreciated. Most strangers probably would have ignored her, or something like that. With a quick nod, Miki grinned with delight. 

“Sure! I can’t complain. Food is food, after all! ” 

  He seemed slightly taken aback by the sudden question at first, perking a curious brow at the other before shaking his head. Perhaps Saiga was more so confused as to why he was surprised by the question at all. The city never ceased to parade its strangeness about anyway, so why should a complete stranger asking for food be any different from asking for a duel?

  “ Depends… you like instant noodles with fakey French vanilla coffee? ‘Cos I’ve got plenty of that to go ‘round. “

Since Miki comes from a more lavish lifestyle, she is terrible when it comes to saving. Most times, if she has money to spend, it will be gone within a matter of days. She will most likely waste it at expensive stores.

She doesn’t listen to music all that often, but usually she will be caught humming a catchy pop song. She also enjoys lullabies, finding them relaxing. Sometimes her family would sing these before she went to bed late at night. Its just a childhood love she never really grew out of.

Miki never owned a pet before, but she loves dogs. Having a little companion around all the time would keep her busy. She’d always have a friend around, so there’d be no need to feel lonely. However, she might not be able to handle the responsibility.

As you might be able to guess, Miki usually greets people with a smile and a small dorky wave. Being introduced to new people, MIki probably won’t mention her name first, out of slight paranoia. Though, she usually doesn’t have any problems initiating conversation.

Honestly, just laughing with friends. Having people to joke around with is the most blissful thing and is something she cherishes. Making other people smile or laugh is also something that she enjoys. What a dork

Well, this person doesn’t seem familiar. What could they be doing in the middle of Satellite? This place wasn’t all that easy to get too, so perhaps Miki was a bit suspicious. Also, she probably was too bored for her own good. May as well check them out, right? 

“Hey. Excuse me, but have you seen a Duel Runner around here?”

She asked with warm smile. Of course, she did know where hers was actually located

Startled, Miki took a step back. It’s not that she could blame the other for their anger. Being so early in the morning, anyone probably would snap at some reckless girl storming through the hall. At least, that’s what she thought. 

“Oh- sorry then, again. I guess I just got carried away... Can I make it to you, or something?” 

Miki offered a bright smile, forgetting that she had a class to get to. 

  That set her a few paces behind her original schedule. Guess there wasn’t any time to grab some water before class now. Ima already woke up in a less than perfect mood. The slightest irritation such as this was enough to cause her to snap at the other girl. 

  "Do you think I’m made of porcelain? I don’t need the nurse. Thanks."

  Without even dusting herself off, she rose to her feet with a slight huff.

"Oh, it's no problem at all!" 

With a nervous laugh, she peered around once more. This girl seemed friendly enough. It must be safe to ask her about this area. Flawless logic, obviously. Miki placed one hand casually on her hip. Hopefully this come out too strange. 

"What's this place called, again? I think I may be... lost."

A relieved smile spreads upon Ari’s lips. At least she got someone friendly this time around. And, of course, the moment she decided to be social, she nearly loses her ability to speak correctly. Perfect timing. Ari gives a gentle nod towards the other.

"Sorry if I gave you a start. Looking for something?"

Feet obnoxiously stomping on the ground, Miki hastily ran through the halls of duel academy. Staying up past midnight to study probably wasn't the best idea. Now she had to get to class within a few minutes. In a sudden collision, Miki fell to the ground. Popping back up and brushing her uniform off, it was only fair to apologize. 

"Whoa, Whoa! Sorry about that! -Are you hurt? Should I run you to the nurse?"

Somehow, Miki managed to stumble across this place. Having an actual map most likely could have prevented this. Were there road signs anywhere around here? Snapping out of her own thoughts, she turned to face the other girl. With a bright smile, she happily responded. 

"Oh! Er─ Hi! How's it going?"

On this rarest of occasions she she decides to be nice, to share in a bit of ‘March cheer’ as her boss had so affectionately put it. Luckily, she was off shift, so no manager or assistant manger was there to breathe down her neck.
