To be perfectly honest.

'The Forest' would've been significantly better if David, when jumping off the ledge, would have repeated, "I'm gonna make it! I'm gonna make it!" and then yelled,"I'm not gonna make it!!" As he fell.

The forest really needed more dialogue...
