The ROs ages are listed both in their in-game codexes and in their linked character profiles in the pinned intro post, and the siblings’ ages are listed in their in-game character codexes and here, though I’ll be changing Parim���s and Aurora’s ages to be 2 years older each. :) 👍

I LOVE CARVING!!! thank you for adding this as a hobby, I always choose carving when I can in games. I haven't done any myself but I love watching the process.

Expect to find twenty bazillioon serval figurines at mcs place because they miss their special little guy Farwah :(

They kinda use carving as a way to cool off and recollect their thoughts. If there's no wood or bone to carve they'll probably start sharpening sticks (non threateningly. maybe). If there's not even a stick to torture they're not gonna know what to do because the need to do something or else they'll crash out.

I can see my mc just asking a RO or someone "Do you have any bones?" with absolutely zero context. Imposing nature wouldn't help at all I imagine. Like girl (gender neutral™️) is that another threat or ?? What the fuck does that mean. "... for carving". (Can i ask ROs reactions? It's okay if not! Im just happy to share some rambles about my mc)

Their manners and social awareness are in NEGATIVE, don't comment on it tho, they won't admit it anyway and they absolutely will (verbally) fight you on this.

Their manners are in fact perfectly fine thank you, everyone else are just pretentious and boring. And they are extremely aware actually they just don't care. (Someone needs to shut them up before they make it even worse)

YAY CARVING!! ❤️💖 I’ve only ever carved into plastic or wooden boards for relief printing, but it’s a fun little activity to just zone out and do with your hands :3 (although I do tend to cut my thumb up sometimes lol). MC will definitely be able to make little figurines in Celestyl 👍 Also a shit manners mc with no filter is very funny to me—love that for them 😌 ❤️ As for your reaction question, I answered below :3

Another Aaziya ramble ooo spooky. I definitely think that this guy went way way wayyy too far on the battlefield. I like to think that he is/was a very live and let live, golden rule, treat others how you want to be treated type of person, hell, even when Parim died. Did he handle it healthily? No. Will he handle it healthily even now? Nuh uh!!! However, he didn't go around being ruthless. But when Aurora died? Yeah no dude that was his breaking point and after Castor died that influenced it even MORE because what is he if not a follower lmao >:3 his violent methods scared him, these actions something he'd believed himself incapable of, something so strongly unlike him, was him now. And now he's scared that said actions will follow him forever, and he'll always be judged for these horrid acts he's commited. I also believe he would've, and probably still does, overexerted, his magic far too much for his own good so these scars about to go crazy 😭 I think he would actually like doing courtly things since he himself has squeezed himself into this box of being a good, sightly prince. (and of course his self-esteem being wayyy down there isn't helping either cause he HAS to be "perfect" or what has he gotten this far in life for man) The court, it allows him to put on a mask that he believes is his face, but he is a pawn in a world of kings and he is overly aware of it 😔. He takes after his mother a lot more, regardless of whether he likes it or not, considering he's charming and manipulative and has 100% used underhanded tactics just like his mom :3 maybe even some people in court would think of him as a dog. (re what is he if not a follower XD) on a lighter note, can people straighten their hair in this universe? Cause I think it's funny to think that when he was younger he had like wavy/loosely curled hair but he's straightened it so much due to not liking it and just not wanting to take care of it that its gradually turned straight over time :p this actually happened to me sighsss

T-T Also I think that’s an interesting perspective for him in liking courtly stuff as a way for him to play pretend and put forward a version of himself that is flawless when he feels the opposite about himself behind the mask, and especially if that’s probably where those aspects of his personality he takes from his mother come into play. 👌👌 (also I fully approve of likening characters to animals 👍👍👍❤️ very delicious)

I would imagine people could straighten their hair either through heat-based magic or by like heating metal tools in a fireplace 👍

RO’s (and mayhaps siblings if you’ve time :) ) reaction to an MC who is usually very stoic and not emoting very much at all, cackling like an idiot and getting tears in their eyes at an incredibly stupid joke they told. Like getting red in the face and having to cover their face or mouth because their abs hurt and they can’t stop despite it being such a stupid stupid joke

Nihm: they do the same thing a lot of times when they tell a really bad pun/joke and they are just in general very tickled by stupid awful jokes so they’ll devolve into laughter too :D

Lilith/Lucien: just a big goofy grin watching mc laugh at their own stupid fucking joke and also has to resist the cuteness aggression urge to violently squeeze them til they pop

Samira: She’ll attempt to hold out and shoot them an unimpressed stare at their dumb joke but as soon as mc breaks she can’t help but start laughing in disbelief even as she tries to half heartedly chide—finds it very cute and endearing seeing mc break their stoic persona like this and just send themself into hysterics over a stupid joke that wasn’t even funny

Aurynn: “Wow, that one really got you, huh? You yourself saying [dumb joke]? Is that really all it takes?” Shakes his head and watches mc with one eye brow raised in disbelief and a grin on his face. Your sense of humor could use some work

Parim: big dumb goofy grin as well, he loves seeing his siblings laugh and it’s especially endearing and silly seeing mc break at their own awful joke but that’s also a game between him and mc bc mc mentions in the demo they try to break Parim’s courtly stoicism with a well-placed bad joke

Aurora: shakes her head as if in disappointment but her small, semi-stifled smile totally gives her away her bemusement

Castor: “Honestly, you’re just as bad as Parim.” Even despite his long suffering sigh, the amused twinkle to his eyes gives away that he finds it endearing

Ember: has a big disbelieving grin and has to look at Castor like are you seeing what I’m seeing/can you believe this shit??

Nour: has to cover their own mouth to stifle a disbelieving giggle; the more mc keeps laughing the more they’re unable to restrain their own laughter; will have to lean forward to poke at mc like ‘was it really so funny to you??’

Farah: can’t stop herself from cracking a huge grin even as she has to scoot closer and pretend to bop mc over the head with her fist over and over or shake them by the shoulders like ‘that wasnt even funnyyy~!!’

Parim: the type to try to get you to crack a smile or giggle by peppering your face with kisses or kissing ticklish places; smiles too much against your lips between every kiss and would have to really be drawn in to a more heated kiss to actually quit smiling and fully commit to kissing

Aurora: very dominant, will hold you in place by the chin, slow and deliberate kisser, will try to draw out a whimper; she sets the pace so don’t get greedy or she’ll leave you to suffer in your wanting

Castor: most passionate in actions rather than words, so a kiss is where he’d show his love or desire; wants to be very close, chest to chest, very slow and languid as if to savor the taste before potentially getting more heated

Ember: very touchy and often likes to kiss at different angles, like tackling in a hug from behind before slinging his arms over your shoulders and turning your face to kiss you, or kissing you from above by tilting your head back while you’re seated in a chair; also will nip, and likes a challenge

Nour: very chaste and hesitant as they’ve never kissed anyone before and wouldn’t know what to do with their hands or really any of their body; would probably be very stiff and trembling the whole time at first before they get used to it

I beg your pardon, but I have been wondering for a little while now, what an alternative to the ornate braids might be for my short haired MC, and I have recently come across these two images on Pinterest.

Barring the masks, of course, headwear like this seems almost perfect for my MC, but I hesitate for two reasons. One: I am uncertain if headdresses like these fit within Theian style. Two: they seem very much like crowns, and I am uncertain if they would be acceptable to wear for one who is not the Dynast (on an entirely unrelated note, I do absolutely adore the term 'Dynast'; thank you for introducing me to it).

And so, if you don't mind my buggering you with this, I was wondering if you might either alleviate or confirm my concerns. Thank you kindly, whatever the case.

I’m going to be readjusting the options that show up for hairstyles based on hair length in the game with the next update bc I coded for bald/shaved but forgot that some of the hairstyles that show wouldn’t work for very short hair. To answer your question tho, yes those are perfectly suitable options for MC and a great idea! :) I’ll be adding an ornate hairstyle with beads/jewelry for all long enough hairstyles including short/very short hair, and I’ll add the headpiece hairstyle as well in the next update 👍 :)

Very cool!! So its different based on region? Then is the basis of healing magic essentially the same, but it just branches because of how the magic user was taught? Or does lineage/bloodline also come into play here? How much of it is nature, and how much is it is nurture? Since you've hinted that we could learn other forms of healing, I suppose much of it is learned, but does MC's Theian lineage make it harder for them to learn Maian techniques (aside from the, i guess, "morality" issues, or the propaganda of it all :') )

Also, one more question, is it possible to learn other affinities even if its just like a very bare minimum result (like if a Illusion MC learn to wield Fire, would they be able to but could only result in a very small spark/very weak flame? Or can they not do it at all, not even a little bit?)

What someone is able to influence via magic is different depending on someone’s ichor. While there is some overlap among what affinities someone from each kingdom could have, some are very different. Like in Celestyl, water and lighting affinities are unique to Celestylian ichor, while sand would be one of the affinities unique to Theian ichor, ice/crystals to Starfellan ichor, and earth/blood magic to Main mages. Likewise, the type of ichor can influence how overlapping affinities manifest. Divination and healing for instance, would often manifest in differing ways and/or be used differently. So with healing, all magic types can facilitate healing but they influence different aspects of the body to do so.

What comes down to nurture is how someone is taught to use their magic. So mc can’t actually learn Maian magic unless they took a blood oath to Maia—Maian magic can be used by anyone, ichor or no ichor, but comes at the cost that one must split their own flesh and sacrifice blood every time they use magic. But, mc has been taught to use their magic to heal, never to hurt (with the exception of wards, but I mean healing itself). So by using their magic to cause damage instead of repairing it, they will compare that to Maian magic.

MC isn’t capable of learning other affinities. One’s ichor affects the elements they can influence in the world through magic—someone not affined to a certain element would be unable to exert control over it. 👍 :)

If the answer for the first question is yes and the second one is no, could we push Aurynns tonics onto L without them knowing those are his? If so, I'm taking my "im no longer exploiting Aurynn for the tonics solution" back, except this time if he wants US to help him get rid of tonics it's gonna cost a favor. Nothing drastic, I just need this game to have some weight for extra fun.

Does the illusion affinity works on animals too, or is it just humans?

MC could still conjure visible illusions that could affect the animal like frightening it off etc, but they can’t do any internal mental manipulation or probing—that would require mc understands what it’s like to be that animal. Being human, mc wouldn’t be able to properly penetrate or influence the animal’s thoughts.

Most are triads, but I’ve recently been rethinking how I’ll structure the entire romance mechanics of the game to account for all the different platonic, single romance, and poly routes—which might open it up to triad/V polys and possibly larger polys(?) but I have to think more on that. I’ll elaborate more on the mechanics once I’ve figured them out, but what I may do is not lock in a romance route and structure them differently as I think it would make things much easier for me and for ease of replayability.

This is a disaster. If they see MC again tomorrow they’re going to explode and die.

Lilith/Lucien: Unsure at first if they are still dreaming—how often is it they have pleasant dreams for a change? They are eerily quiet and unable to hear or answer questions; they simply stare, and might after a moment reach out to touch MCs face, and guide their hand to their chest as they bring their face closer to MCs. They’d let mc do pretty much anything to them rn. If mc pulls away they’ll snap out of it and very guiltily apologize.

Samira: So startled upon waking—both bc of the dream and bc of waking eye to eye with mc—that she sits up with a start only to slam her head hard into MCs face, giving them a bloody nose (bc why not ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧ mhmhmhmhm). She can’t apologize enough and now she has to suffer through the embarrassment that is tending to MCs bloodied face all after a dream like that. And then she has to face them tomorrow and every day after that. Fucking kill her.

Aurynn: Terrified at first bc he doesn’t recognize MCs face in the dark and assumes it is Something Else™️ and is entirely paralyzed by fear. It takes him a long several moments of mc speaking to him and shaking him for him to finally come out of it and realize it’s MC. By then the dream is mostly forgotten but he might try to very bluntly tell mc they just woke him from a dirty dream about them just to redirect the topic back to safer waters and try to fluster mc enough into forgetting and/or leaving.
