Before 😮During 😐and almost After 🙂of my son's swimteam closet/ storage room. There is a lot of 'organizing for zen' to 'spark joy' and while this did make me happy. We found a lot to let go of, things we were looking for, lots to donate and some we can sell to raise funds for the team. (at the Port Streets)

We recently went to Tahoe and, as usual, I am the one and only in charge of packing everything and forgetting nothing.  This is my method….

We store all of our ski gear by family member, so when we go skiing I take out each bin and make piles for each person to make sure we have what everyone needs.  A few amazon orfers later, I pack one bag with all of our ski stuff.

Larger Boots on the bottom

Fill in with the smaller ones

Socks go inside the boots.

Long Underwear fills in other otherwise wasted space

Gloves along one side

Hats and goggles along the other side

Smaller jackets next

Then larger Jackets on top

Finally smaller accessories go in pockets

Once the ski essentials are packed I start packing everything else.  Kids first then adults.

Undies and socks are packed in the side pocket (I always pack at lest one extra pair)

Swimsuits (just in case) in one of the top pockets

Extra Tees in the other top pocket

I roll all their pants

then layer with tops

Once the case is packed I put the travel day outfit on top.

On to the adults…..

First step for us is pulling out the things I love to wear and may have not otherswise have the cance to wear at home

I always pack a seperate carry-on-type bag for all of our toiletries. If they leak they leak together and not on any of out clothes.

After pulling everything out I make piles by outfit and activity. This is an example of what I do for my hubby. Once I make sure we have what we need (usually a little more) I pack excactly the same way I pack for the kids complete with travel day outfits reasy to go!

I was asked what I would buy for Spring if I was only going to buy 5 pieces

Here is my answer from the bottom up…

Non-workout sneakers. They are totally on trend and easy to wear because they are crazy comfortable.

Wide leg Pant, Flared bell bottoms, Joggers and/or Denim Skirt. All of these are easy to wear dressed up with high heels or dressed down with a graphic tee (shown below).

Graphic Tees, these are great because they suit you perfectly because you pick the style that suits you!

Raffia Bucket Tote Bags. What can I say? This is a Spring / Summer MUST have.

Casual denim dress or jumpsuit, another easy to wear item that is super transitional. It can be dressed up with heels or down with sandals (see below).

Finally, slides and mules.
