It is not everyday that you are able to have your make up done by a pro make up artist but today was my lucky day! Fresh off the plane from New York Fashion week, I was lucky enough to have my make up done by the am amazingly talented @bbpro_hollieolivia (it is the closet I will ever experience to being a model!!) TRY IT TUESDAY - IT Cosmetics 'Your Skin But Better' CC+ Cream⁠ ⁠ I have been using this CC+ Cream from @itcosmeticsuki since the start of the year and it is AMAZING! It is a hybrid between a tinted moisturiser and a foundation. ⁠ ⁠ The texture is fantastic and never fails to make my skin look great. It really does do exactly as it says on the tin!⁠ ⁠ I put one full pumps worth on my finger (it is about the size of a large raison) and then dab some on my cheeks, forehead, nose and chin and blend it in with my fingers. It is so quick and easy that I can even get it done (well 90% of the time!) before the nursery drop off!⁠ ⁠ I have tried both the normal and illuminating one and for the the illuminating one is perfect as my skin usually looks pretty tired #mumlife⁠ ⁠ IT stands for Innovative Technology and it really is. Can we just chat about this @topshop dress please? I regularly have Mums ask me how they can dress more like themselves during pregnancy and after, esp if you are breastfeeding. This GORGEOUS Topshop maternity dress lends itself to during, after and non pregnancy! Due to the asymmetrical hem, you don’t need a bump to wear this and I for one am adding to my cart! So style doesn’t have to just be about clothes but about how it makes you feel and it is not always clothes that do that on their own! How yuck has this weather been this weekend! I find it so hard to know what to wear on days like this as I just want to be warm, comfy and most of all dry! A lot of my warm coats however are not made for this weather so I was thrilled when I found this little beauty in @topshop! As it is vinyl it is perfect for this weather as it is totally waterproof but does not have the look of your school raincoat! #worldcancerday 2020 is so different for me then any previous World Cancer Days. In previous years I have read some amazing and inspirational stories but in all honesty, it was just another day to me. Fast forward to today and I find myself right in the thick of what it means ‘to have cancer’ I found myself on the Chemo ward at @royalsurreycountyhospital with the one person I never thought I would see in this situation. On Jan 2nd 2020 my Dad was diagnosed with Lymphoma and it turned my world upside down. My Dad has always been the person I go to whenever there is a crisis. He is the strong one who always has a solution and a calm head. It is fair to say his diagnosis also struck a nerve with me seeing as we lost my beloved Father in Law to Leukaemia in 2012. I knew how hard it was going to be for my husband to witness something similar with my Dad. Due to the fact that I worry about not having anything to worry about, I was worried (oh good I found something to worry about!) that I would totally go to pieces but so far I am taking strength from how amazingly well my parents are coping with it all. So on this World Cancer Day my thoughts are with every single person out there who has been touched by cancer and to the overwhelming amount of brave people I saw at the Cancer centre today. Today is #nationalhugday so I wanted to share a photo of my favourite person in the world to hug..my son, William. Today was the first day of my family members chemo and I guess it was a real reality check that this is actually happening. In a way it’s positive...they are already closer to being better then they were yesterday but alongside that is the worry of the side effects they have to face along the way. William not only keeps me going but brings so much joy to my family member.
