when i was reading the CL novel sequels (I was mostly skimming and only made it through 1.5 of them) at the part where it's revealed that Ulrich's father was involved in...what was it...selling out Franz Hopper? Something like that. I was like, holy shit, is this about to be an all time epic ulrita moment where Ulrich rejects his evil father that he hates and sides with Aelita, who he has been working to protect and save this whole time, in a sense making up for his father's wrongs, and they would be tied together by this plot involving their dads but then that didn't happen and he forgave his shitty dad and then it became the case that everyones parents were actually tied to Franz etc (which I hate and think is stupid). and then i got mad
