This week I went on a ski trip with a friend (@mrsamparry) . Unfortunately this meant no time to draw. I spent so long yearning to capture the scenery that I leapt at the chance to pop outside on the last day and get in my first pleinair drawing of 2018. It was great to flex the muscles again on this quick sketch of one of my most memorable peaks of the resort - could have continued but was getting cold (at Les 2 Alpes)

Squeezed in a 1hr from life painting session @candidartstrust daytime lifedrawing this week. It’s was amazing for my brain to engage a different area during the working day as well as exhausting. The mix of natural and artificial colours from the skylights of this fantastic drawing space made for some incredible exploration. All my enthusiasm around the body unfortunately meant I could not have time think accurately about the hand on the or indeed the face itself but that, I have come to except is part of drawing from life. At this point I could never go to drawing from photo. Photo itself does the work for the artist and any copy is no longer human but instead. (at London Borough of Islington)

My journey into light through acrylic paint and natural observation continues. The lighting available at the Candid Art space in London, Islington is an ideal arena for such an endeavour. So good to see that curve of light on the models back #💥 . Love FD's - Alone with Everybody EP - @thenorthquarter packaged it up al nice for me aswell. Here's the first play #🙏 This track, Always Something was the one that got me hooked for the EP in the first place. Plays fresh every time, so delicious. I'm also a big fan of the bells on other track on this EP, called Lost Without You . As well as some blissful dnb there's a wonderfully crafted piece of of deep Techno/House on this EP. Entitled Only You', this piece really shows the care and love FD pours into sound production. FD also varies his genres more on this EP with two ambient pieces in the form of Wrapped Together and It could be you. All in all a very exciting EP, full of deep flavour.
