Without even the promise of a Chosen One, the Wizarding World fears the threat of another war. This time there is no One Great Evil and no prophesied hero to defeat them. But while most muggles may have dismissed the video evidence as proof of some horrible new weapon, there are still those on the fringe with questions of their own.

Hi, all! I wanted to give an update. I’m having some minor health issues (I’m okay!) and had a change in my medication that is affecting me. We are still on track to drop on the 1st, but I’ve made the decision to not aim to finish the last 12 skeletons by then. If I get them done, great! But having 55 feels like a good amount and I think I’m better off focusing my energy on making sure the rest of the launch goes smoothly.

SubmergedTask;001: trade a soundtrack for a character

Here at submerged, we hope that you are as excited to get started as we are! Though our main will not be dropping for another ten days, we are still eager to get started. If a character has already caught your inspiration, we invite you to imagine your character of choice’s soundtrack. If your character were the main character in a movie, what genre would it be? What would be playing in the background of your opening scene? We invite you to make a playlist (on Spotify, 8tracks, playmoss, or anything similar) for your character’s ‘soundtrack’. Then on a Tumblr post, list your song choices.

You can make an aesthetic edit, explain your song choices, include your favorite lyrics from the song, or just make an awesome playlist. Then send us a link and in exchange, we will send you the app form so you can qualify for an early acceptance! If we get multiple apps for the same character, we can’t guarantee you’ll get your first choice so please be sure to include your second choice as well. Submissions will go towards a big ‘submerged’ playlist - with selections all being credited.

You can find our character guide here, with over fifty characters to choose from! Please send in your playlist to receive the app form. Applications sent in by January 27th will be reviewed for a January 28th acceptance. Submissions afterwards will go towards an opening day acceptance.

Good morning, tags! We now have a character guide with information on all our skeletons so far! We have 54 up currently and you can expect more leading up to our main dropping on February 1st. But we have another surprise today as well. At 1pm cst, we will be dropping our first task. If you’re interested in joining Submerged, we will send the application form early to everyone who completes the task! Our pre-drop acceptance will be on January 28th, but we are open to holding it early if we get enough applicants.

Why 67? That seems like a very specific number

Because, alas, I am a thembo that aimed for 45 skeletons without realizing giving each character three balanced connections probably required math for and by the time I achieved it I’d ended up with 22 more than I planned. But my long term goal was to get to 75 by our second month, so it all worked out!
