Operation Skyhook repaint. Someday my skills will be where I need them and I can paint this thing they way it REALLY deserves (the way I see it in my head - see last image for an idea). Still more prep to get these things loaded into a printing site. 😫 It’s taking forever and it’s sooooooooooo much work. #artwork #fanart #digitaldrawing #artistsoninstagram #digitalillustration #digital #sketch #digitalpainting #procreate #thisisanewtagforartists #digitalartist #artistsupport #instaart #painting #photoshop #myart #illustrator #graphicdesign #artoftheday #digitalartwork #michiganartist #starwars #operationskyhook #princessleia #r2d2 #princessleiaorgana https://www.instagram.com/p/CR3tbLDLGKd/?utm_medium=tumblr

More contrast and shape practice. Trying to keep creating even though it feels like the rest of life is off the rails this week… month… year. 🤷♀️ https://www.instagram.com/p/CR2FNt5rV5j/?utm_medium=tumblr

“Heavy heart” My goal with this was to make that blue velvet look right on the back highlight of the petals. This is the first time I’ve touched my iPad since Covid hit the states. I work in web/video conferencing so everyone working from home meant long, crazy hours. At the same time I went slightly insane making masks for donation and then started a little, temp business out of it. All of that was beginning to steady out when my husband was exposed and then our city flooded due to a few dams breaking and here we are. Political unrest and a soggy, half-quarantined city. https://www.instagram.com/p/CAxX-EYpFMm/?igshid=1bi55ux3zle9k

The upside of digital is that you go and edit a drawing and give it a whole new feel. The downside of digital is that you can go and edit a drawing and give it a whole new feel. https://www.instagram.com/p/B84A7jZpMx1/?igshid=1dkzh511t3mkb

Throwback to this guy. Work this week really took it out of me. I do have some exciting things in the works right now so that’s what’s giving me life going into the weekend. https://www.instagram.com/p/B82euI3J53S/?igshid=1qg5l5o83iurm

Respect with a capital R - but seriously though, how in the hell are new artists getting all these damn followers? I don’t want to believe everyone but me is using bots... so what are your tips?! https://www.instagram.com/p/B8wF-_cpwdP/?igshid=zwnv9iob2kmx

This was meant to be a fun little study using some new brushes from @mike.mccain.art; but somehow turned into a research project about #eyvindearle. 🤷♀️ oops. Time lapse will be in my stories after I edit out the parts my son ‘helped’ with. 😄 https://www.instagram.com/p/B8xtck_JZZE/?igshid=rb7ld9g32okj

"You give me . . . feelings of deep-seated resentment” I’m relatively sure this is what the cover would look like if I put out an album. 😝😎 I can’t sing so it’d just be a lot of humming. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8uiF9KJlOY/?igshid=1snxfqnj65w3s

“Audrey” When I was college I would procrastinate on my big projects and then have to pull multiple all-nighters to get them done in time. Every time I would go downstairs and put on Breakfast at Tiffany's and play it on repeat while I worked myself into an art coma. Is that odd? One movie playing over and over? I've probably watched it a few thousand times in my life. It's really comforting. Today, with a full-time job, a full-time toddler, and my husband, house, etc - I don't get multiple hours on end to concentrate on a project like a lot of the other artists I see on here. Everything I've done this past year was stolen minutes, feverishly squirreled away. 5 minutes in a parking lot, ten minutes before dinner, sometimes a half hour on a Saturday morning before everyone wakes up.... It *really* makes me nostalgic for those endless nights listening to Audrey while I scribbled away. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8snwC5pmxL/?igshid=792ugnsikb87

A 20 second drawing of a skeleton. It actually took 20 minutes - but still quick. Also, chalk work has ruined me... I always want to start from dark and build my light with all my art. Lol. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8pScPfJFV1/?igshid=1g3bcegmhv0ve

This guy didn’t go the direction I pictured at the beginning so I will come back and try again... someday. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8FhPjYJhvU/?igshid=m5dur0d4ya12

Put on a matte type screen protector on my iPad to try to improve the ‘feel’ of drawing on it. This was to try it out. I don’t know. I don’t hate it? So I’ll keep it on for now. It didn’t negatively affect the drawing at least. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8Xk4zQpakx/?igshid=1rpcd4p1ckoxd
