tbh turts post on viridian-rat made me realize that we as a community fumbled when we decided the default way to send shit to eachother is multiversal pelipper that just know where you live instead of mystery gifts. tbh mystery gifts, something that exists in canon, would literally solve every problem with pelipper mail that makes me hate it and hate having it on/using it. like no offence but pelipper mail is the most annoying thing thats just accepted in pkmn irl because people auto assume you have it on even if its in ur pinned

Why are those a thing. What lore does it provide for a random ass character to be racist, ableist or transphobic under the label of a roleplay account. Why is that a thing.

I'm not saying that they aren't topics that can be discussed or handled ic but. Idk. the accounts that are made just to make fun of groups of people behind a character just so your blorbos can go "g-guh! well! i'm in the right!" and be the hero or whatever

I think most rational people can piece apart that being racist and/or homophobic is bad. We don't need to portray it directly in roleplay form just to prove a point of some kind. Characters can come from a disapproving family and still thrive as a trans person because that's character development! To grow beyond your familial judgement in order to be comfortable with yourself. But straight up being a terf in rp form isn't that engaging. It just kind of makes me sick

saying this bc i just saw an account on my dash that was saying shit like "only women can have periods and be pregnant" or whatever in rp form and i just don't think that's cool. there's no reason for that. there's no sick lore behind that. And if you're actually being a terf quit hiding it behind a character bc considering you're responding to normal ass people, not rp accounts, under your post kind of implies this wasn't even meant for roleplay in the first place and that kinda makes me upset

can we stop treating blatant ableism/racism/transphobia/homophobia in poor taste in the community so casually please

\\DO NOT TAG PKMN IRL POSTS AS UNREALITY UNLESS YOU REGULARLY BREAK CONTAINMENT OR PLAN TO HAVE OTHER PARANOIA/DELUSION INDUCING CONTENT OUTSIDE OF JUST THE POKEMON STUFF!!

\\early on (like a year ago) we had a similar thing and the general consensus the community reached is that if every post is tagged unreality, its inconvenient for those of us who do have that tag blocked but DO wanna engage in the community because it means we essentially cannot see your post unless we take the 50/50 shot at either seeing silly rp post or being triggered into a paranoia episode.

\\use the pkmn irl tags and other similar tags for our community! this allows people who do not want to see the rp posts and may find them paranoia inducing to block the tag, while not excluding people who DO wanna see your post!

\\once again, the unreality tag can still be used, but generally it should be kept for specific posts and blogs rather than all ur posts being tagged with it.

\\similarly, using the pokemon rp tag should be kept for like actual in person rps as there are people who do rp on the site but not like. rp thats meant to be taking place in the actual world instead of just guys who have tumblr accounts, but idk if we're still doing that or not. i remember some people being annoyed by it a while back.

Please remember to be respectful of your fellow roleplayers! It doesn't matter if you personally do not like the muse they are playing, you should never send harassing asks to another person out of character. Always ask for clarification before sending upsetting in character messages in their inbox. Communicate with members of your community.

Often many of the roleplayers you see are talking extensively behind the scenes before making higher stakes posts, only the tip of the iceberg may appear on blog. These are rarely spontaneous, unplanned things, and if they are the person will often say as much on their profile. Never assume someone is automatically okay with this kind of behavior. Remember these blogs are run by real people.

Be kind to one another.

Ichowan holiday for the shortest day of the year. They believe that if you go outside on this day, you will become a ghost. Observed by staying inside all day, ESPECIALLY at night, and praying that you will not be taken in your sleep. Offerings of raw meat may be left outside the front and/or back door.
