Theory Time (?) - Tour Poster/Concept

It’s me, your paranoid ARMY that sees a meaning behind everything BTS does because there always is.

They dropped the poster to the MOTS:ONE online/offline tour and its the opposite of the MOTS tour we had in the beggining of the year. So, the first poster had a lot of purple, our symbol of love, and they were in the water, probably the sea - now in the second poster they are in the sand, there are warm colors but, to me, it doesnt give that good vibe (kkk) the first one did. Putting both posters togheter they made me think about the song Sea, so here comes the melancolic/sad theory (?), thoughts (?):

“Is what I know really the ocean? Or a blue desert?” “Is this the sea or the desert? Is this hope or despair?” “I thought this was the ocean but it’s a desert”

These are the parts that made me think why the posters are so different but fit each other. Maybe with the MOTS:7 and their 7th anniversary they thougth 2020 was going to be a great year for them and the fans with the Tour and all the content they prepared for Festa and other things, they really wished they would spend this precious moments with us - they would “end” a big part of their carrer this year, full circle, but well… 2020 happened.

With the covid they had to cancel everything, they couldn’t see their fans when promoting, it was them and that is it. No ARMY chantting, singing, givin them force. And we, ARMY, didn’t have them making at least one night a perfect and happy moment in our year. The entire world is in a dark and uncertain place now, and the boys had talked about it in a live on youtube and that they wanted to make songs about the situation but to give hope, happiness. They went from the ocean to the desert, like everyone this year had at some point, I think the concept of the tour changed a lot to show this because BTS likes to work with what is real to us fans. I’m really excited to see this concert, the concept and the vcrs - I think they will show us something that will give us hope and happiness but they wont forget to talk about important things happening right now and this is a bit what I expect in the new album too.

Theory Time ~ kinda

So SmeraldoFlowers tweets again about opening a shop in august, usually when they say it BTS has a comeback so... new album in august maybe? I’m already getting in that comeback mood okay. Another thing is that I saw some people saying that the Save Me webtoon will have a continue, even if it says it’s complete but with that final it can’t be complete (it really can’t I need more answers please bh). We had the graphic lyrics all related to the HYYH era. And you all remember what the boys read in the kkul fm? Oz, the EMERALD citi of Oz — a lot of BTS’s comebacks have a book as reference. Maybe it’s just me wanting so bad to go back to the masterpiece that was the HYYH era, but this year we are coming in a full circle about some BTS related things, so what if we go back to where it all began (officially) and have some answers (or even a final answer but I think nah)? There’s probably some more hints here and there. And BTS are pretty silent lately which is kinda scary cause they can just drop something anytime. But what do you all think? Am I being a clown again?

theory time - ON mv

My first thought was that the boys died and meet again in heaven as they had been sent there because even in their unfortunate situations they still tried to help each other and it would be considered a good deed. BUT watching the MV more times and paying more attention to it, it looks like jin saved them — which is totally the opposite of what my first thoughts were. In the beginning of the MV we can see Jin and a dead dove and all these dead people on the ground, as if they lost a battle. Then we see Jungkook running away of what looks like a maze (maybe the door in the waterfall” that Jungkook entered in Fake Love takes him to that maze), then we see Jimin and a bunch of instruments that could be a representation of the people who are dead. Taehyung is shown with a girl blindfolded and she probably can’t see. And we have Namjoon and an ark and animals, like a representation of Noah’s Ark — people didn’t believed that a flood was gonna happen just like Noah believed and made something to help the situation, AND a lot of people didn’t believed in BTS’s in the beginning of their career and now they see that they were idiots for that and try to make things better and have them in their programs or have some relation with them.

The next scene with Jin, he is in a room full of cages and the one he bought with the dead dove of the beginning. He covers it and suddenly it moves, like the dove inside it was alive. To me that's the moment that shows that Jin went back in time to save them and he succeed, cause that time the dove resurrected.

Yoongi is shown in a room full of kids and it looks like a kind of cult to me, and the aesthetic of it is really different compared to the previews scenes: the colors, the light, the black clothes — and in that moment it looks kinda lost in the storyline but it makes sense with some future scenes.

Back with Taehyung and the girl, they are in front of the wall of the maze and the door is opening, then he decides to get the blindfold out of the girl and she can see what is happening. The door opening is probably a sign that things changed and that’s why Taehyung helped the girl going forward because he knew that her future has changed too. To me Tae has these direct interaction with the girl because besides Jin, that can go back to the past and change the future, he is the only one who can remember parts of the past despite Jin making changes and sense that something changed. To me Jin can turn back time and interfere and Taehyung is the only one who can remember the past even with the modifications that Jin does (one experiences a deja vu and the other a jamais vu) — to me they have some kind of connection or are even the same person (gonna write about it too maybe?).

When Jungkook comes to a lake he is handcuffed with thorns — then it goes back to the scene with the boys, Jin frees the dove that was reborn — and when back to Jungkook he was free too, as if the dove were a representation of Jungkook — with that it’s possible that Jungkook died after he ran away but came back because of Jin. Okay lake scene, as Jungkook now has his hands free, he catches a conch and he makes a song with it, that can be interpreted as a call (some people found it to be a reference to the book "Lord of the Flies").

We have the scene of the dance break, all the boys are together now with other people (probably the ones that were dead in the beginning), the mood gets darker in this part and they all are wearing cloaks, it looks like a ritual and Jungkook is holding the conch that he used to call everyone to this place — this scene can be related to the book “Lord of the Flies” and with the end of the Fake Love MV extended ver. but now they don’t need to wear masks anymore because they aren’t afraid to show who they are and face their shadows, in the end of Fake Love a wall falls on them but now, in ON, they are opening the gates, BTS are not tied to something that happened in the past or what someone said about them, the rumors and the prejudice, they finally recognized themselves as artists and found a inner piece related to all their past as seven.

Said all that, we come to the last part were all seven are together with an army, and everything that was lost and dead come backs to life, it's basically "the sun after the storm", they had so many hardships in their career but they outcame them as seven and when they are climbing the mountain seven doves appear together — that mountain to me represents the path they went till their actual success, from a tinny group from a small company, that was looked down by so many to this respected and inspiring group of seven that are writing their own story besides anything that people try to impose and say, they have their own identities and visions of the world and what can be better and how make it better through art.

From seven boys that started with one dream (debut) and went step by step to achieve it no matter what and then started to dream more even with fears and doubts if the seven were together they could do it and they did it - teamwork makes the dream work - and I think that's a tiny little thing that i could see in the mv and song that makes me remember Namjoon saying that ON is a love letter to their career.

what if shit happened and jin didnt save the boys as he wished and in the end all of them meet again in heaven despite everything that happenned to them because their will to help each other was recoginized as a good deed and they could be together and happy in their new life after all the hardships
