Something Something Doppelganger~
As I promised, I shall explain my idea of Forneus being a former vessel of the red crown!
First of, the most obvious reason, Narinder might have grown frustrated with his siblings killing off all his former vessels, so he figured, perhaps one akin to him in resemblance the most, would make them more conflicted.
It worked perfectly of course, and his siblings hesitated moreso in harming her.
The only one who didn't hesitate as much was Leshy, due to obvious reasons, sensing her primarily off on smell, he could tell that she was a different feline.
However, Narinder didn't grow fond of her solely based on her appearance alone, she was a very competent and vicious one, (before pregande that is) and managed to defeat the youngest Bishop. Although, Narinder being merely a century or few into his imprisonment, still struggled with his guilt and ordered her to spare him. (Though, Leshy definitely got mocked for being weak by his siblings later) ✌️ 🐸)
Forneus was one of the most loyal vessels. Still is, despite all that had happened. (Which is also canon, she is one of the very few NPCs aligned with him. It is specifically stated that she is the only other character who's alignment is "Worships The One Who Waits" the other one being Ratau, who himself was a vessel)
Forneus VOLUNTARILY gave up the red crown, unlike Ratau who was (technically) demoted for his insubordination. When she had her kids she realized... maybe there's more to life than just that, so she seeked penance.
Narinder was upset with her choice, but decided not to punish her. Although, he did say that she would lose all her powers and semi-immortality. She was persistent.
Forneus begrudgingly, but willingly gave up her children, once Shamura promised they'd be taken in by her god. She doesn't know all the details though, as stated in canon.
Shamura made her immortal again, and gave her ||something || to hold onto, if she ever got a chance to see her kids again, it would be returned to its rightful owner.
She did! She doesn't fully begrudge Narinder for them being kinda fucked up, but she is dissapointed. To be fair, he did go insane in there. (He does eventually apologize to her for that, as does Shamura..maybe)
_____________
And that's all I have for now! I'll need to hyperfixate more on this. :>

"We've been dating for 6 years."
No one can convince me that Mobei Jun wasn't sure that he is dating Shang Qinghua, while the latter never even caught on to Mobei Jun's feelings for him.
Like... Mobei Jun always suspected something. And it became abundantly clear to him when Shang Qinghua explained that someone acts pathetic and weak to get the attention of a 'straight man'. Like, he even asked again to be sure. Shang Qinghua though never thought about the implications this would bring. That guy has been crawling before Mobei Jun since the beginning. Nevermind all the crying and begging. So no wonder Mobei Jun - knowing jack shit about human courting or courting in general for that matter - just assumes that Shang Qinghua must have been flirting all the time. ALL THE FUCKING TIME!
His hypothesis even gets proven when Mister double agent saves Mobei Jun from falling at the boss battle. That's the reason Mobei Jun takes this idiot with him when his father died. Just to hear that Shang Qinghua wants to leave?! Like, he brought him to meet his (dead) dad and that guy breaks up with him. Just to come back and save him again? Shang Qinghua almost gets killed here.
All the while Shang Qinghua is not an ounce wiser. Yes, Mister Ice Prince has gotten nicer. But what's there to it? He saves him, even after cursing him out. But that's just because he wants his loyal servant back, right? It doesn't help that Master Airplane shooting towards the Sky hasn't had any dating experience either. Especially not with someone so emotionally stunned like Mobei Jun.
And so Mobei thinks they are definitely a thing. He even celebrates their anniversary. Never kisses Shang Qinghua because he always looks annoyed when Luo Binghe talks about how good of a kisser Shen Qingqiu is. So he just assumes that his idiot doesn't like kisses. Meanwhile Shang Qinghua is seething because how has he been isekaid into his own novel without even getting laid??
The whole thing comes out when Luo Binghe finally asks when those two will finally marry each other. Following Shang Qinghua denying that they even are in a relationship and Mobei Jun stating that he is unsure if 6 years (random number, don't come for me) of a relationship is enough to get married.

Roaring Knight is NOT Carol OR Dess. It's someone else.
And that character I say is Rudy.
Tumblr media
Art made by Soulmeshart on twitter. Super talented guy.
It probably needs some level of explanation as to why I believe it's him. More so than with other ones. And I want to delve quite deep into that. And I want to start with Delving into why I do not believe it is Dess or Carol.
For Carol it is quite simple. Timing of her coming to the Holiday household and the Church Dark World. There is just no way she would go there so quickly as we can go right to the Church after we are kicked out of the house and the Dark World was already created there. And honestly she feels like the most obvious red herring of all time.
The second one is Dess and there IS quite a few evidences pointing to her, like being left handed like the mouse in her room implies and the bat, but I feel like those may be a red herring as well. Also... we DID in fact I say heard Dess before and she is trapped. We see her talk within the game code and we hear her in Spamton Dialogue.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is I say quite clear it is meant to be Dess. She is there in the code and we get her dialogue from one character who breaks the 4th wall more than any other. Which means if Knight was Dess then it would have to be her body being a puppet or some sort of amalgamation that has no mind of it's own and Knight itself HAS a mind, it can think, plan, input codes (which Dess herself probably would never know) and also can walk in Light World and hide there. And Susie's implication about Knight in Light World being quite powerless I feel like is very relevant as well.
And that part about Light World. I think that one is the most important because of another thing. It would genuinely make the story NOT work because Dess being gone I say is HUGE part of the game and I say it is big part of Kris's motivation as well as I feel like Kris is working with the Knight BECAUSE of Dess and we can see that with Chapter 3 world having many hidden references to her, how she is gone, her name. Kris may not show it, but Dess is always at the back of their mind much like on Noelle's and I feel like it may be guilt that drives Kris.
I will explain it later in another post. Basically I feel like Egg rooms are the key to that where they represent grief inside of Kris's mind and I think that grief is part of what happened to Dess and Kris feeling some sort of guilt and Knight being Dess would honestly make this not work at all. Because the HUGE part of this story is "Find Her". Not to mention that Kris is preventing us from even seeing who the Knight is and why would an option to ALMOST see Knight's face even be added if it's someone like Dess who we NEVER saw before. It makes no sense from writing standpoint.
Now unto the man of the hour himself. Rudy. Why I think he most likely is the Knight. First off let's start with some stuff he is made of. He is one of the few NPCs who has his own laugh and coughs which is honestly strange because no other character in those games has those unless they are VERY important to the plot much like Susie or Lancer, that already shows that there has been quite a bit of effort put into him. And one thing to note on his sprite as he laughs is that he moves his left hand during it which is weird considering that he is using his right hand to drink in Chapter 4. Could be oversight or it could be Rudy just hiding from more people his real good hand.
But those are minor things and another one I want to bring up is his confidence. He always talks about kicking somone's ass and even with Susie he seems VERY confident they can do that despite their sickness which could be Toby's little thing that we will have recontextualized later on. Also he has connection to every single code source. He regularly attends church and even in his current state is able to go there, his best friend is former chief of police and his wife is the mayor. Every single one code is pretty much in his reach. Something I think Dess Knight would NOT have and if this is Dess Knight I don't think this thing would even be capable of inputing any codes.
But those are minor things compared to my next point which is bigger which is chapter 2 and Queen. Because Queen from Chapter 2 given what we saw in chapter 4 is clearly based on Carol. Her design heavily features blue much like Carol does, she is VERY protective of Noelle and we NEVER see Queen genuinely hurt Noelle. In fact all she wants is make Noelle happy.
And I think THAT is a HUGE evidence for why Rudy could be the Knight. Because I feel like Queen is how he sees Carol. Very over protective, control freak, but also very quirky (given Carol's sword collection) and sometimes absent minded. This is not a perspective I feel like anyone who is not connected so closely with Carol could ever make Queen into. It has to be someone who knows her on a very intimate level, even more so than her children. And Rudy fits that. I think it is shown well as well with what Queen says about Noelle
Tumblr media
To be so overprotective and yet still seeing someone as strong as well. What is more parent like than this? It fits Rudy extremely well and his personality WOULD influence Queen to see Noelle like this. Someone to be protected, but has a lot of potential as well.
Not to mention how much she HATES Berdly which is something Rudy does as well. Also he confirms in one dialogue about him that he HAS a window in his room through which he potentially could sneak out from.
And in Chapter 1 the old classroom is most likely where Rudy himself also attended alongside Alvin and Asgore so they would have emotional connection with it that would allow them to create the Dark World there as well. And in chapter 4 probably their memories of Gerson would also influence how that Dark World looked because most likely Rudy was his student and he was the person that probably made impression on everyone.
Now you may also say that "Well it couldn't be him because he is sick" and to that I say two things. First one is "Isn't that weird that THIS is the only evidence against Rudy being the knight?" and another is "Do we even know what this illness even is?"
Because both are very telling. Because without the illness Rudy becomes REALLY good candidate here. He is someone who obviously would Aura Farm (which is funnily enough how Toby called the sprite of the Knight at the top of the stairs). He is someone the gang COULD take on in Light World which is why The Knight became desperate and summoned a Titan.
And... It does give Knight a very good motive that ties them with Kris as well. Dess. A father OBVIOUSLY would do anything to get their daughter back and in this case, a father would go deep into the darkness to find her and possibly... that creates illness within them. And that would make sense. Going deep into darkness making Rudy ill. And that illness manifesting itself on their body in Dark World as well.
Because Knight is honestly REALLY withered in Dark World. They are strong, but they look like they are seriously rotting. When they roar their stomach opens and I think that could be representing Rudy's illness and with the eye in the center of their stomach some kind of tumor or something. Going so deep into Darkness, becoming ill and risking your life just for a chance of getting your Daughter back.
What is more fatherly than that? And that connects with Kris as well and what I said earlier. Dess is ALWAYS at the back of their mind. Clearly carrying some sort of trauma which gives them motivation to work with the Knight. Finding her. And I think it makes sense why Spamton showed that to Kris as something they are afraid of. Being afraid for her.
Not to mention that Rudy would also be able to hide behind closed doors in the Church. They are sound of mind to do that unlike what Dess Knight would be. And once they leave the Dark World in 3 they probably knocked out Undyne well before that and ran as fast as they could (maybe also still on some level with effect of Dark World on them) to the Shelter. After all Undyne's spears stop at some point when we chase after them.
But there is another detractor. Why the bat? And I think that is another thing. Who's to say Dess did not get her thing for bats FROM Rudy? It does make sense as he seems to be very close with their children and is interested in what they are interested in. And given he was a friend with a HUGE guy like Asgore they may have also be interested in sports too and that could have been carried from him to Dess and now they keep the bat out of sentimentality for their daughter. Not to mention also it makes FAR more sense for Kris to hide Knight's face from us if it is someone we already know and Rudy we definitely do know.
And another few things I want to add are more about potential. For instance with Prayer Kris does for RUDY. When on normal route we pray for Noelle, Kris chooses to pray for Rudy and imagine the double meaning behind it if Rudy IS the knight. That would add so much to that one piece of interaction.
And potential for chapter 5 where I say we will know about Knight's identity as I feel like chapters 3-4-5 were meant to be Knight trilogy before Nintendo made the call to Toby. The Knight being Rudy would add another layer to Chatper 5 beyond jealousy. It would add a theme of fatherhood. How far can a father go for their own family? Which could be powerful theme to tie both Rudy and Asgore, especially if the Knight ends up finally seriously hurting Kris and Asgore sees this. That would be powerful because we would then be able to witness not only Asgore in a very serious position, but also show us the Knight as a very complex character.
Who's goals are not just "I end the world LMAO" or "Am insane puppet kill me please". It is compelling narrative, a father simply doing everything in their power to find their daughter. And Rudy being the Knight would also explain how Asgore has the shard in chapter 5. Obviously he would take something that could help his case from his best friend. And most likely Carol is in on it as well and uses her resources to help Rudy as well because it is her daughter as well. And like that you get immediately more complexity for BOTH characters.
Also on final note. I just do not trust any character that is this chill and nice and likeable in a story like this. I got that right in Spiderverse and they came out rather close together.
So that is my theorizing here. The potential of Rudy being the Knight, evidence and what this could mean for the story and interesting directions this could take it in. I may be wrong, but I am quite confident in this. And even if you all do not agree I still thank you for reading all this shite.
Also may post some more things here. I tend to write fics most of all. Recently made my first one for Deltarune here
May make more in the future. Will see.

I don't normally scream about other people's rottmnt au on here, but @somerandomdudelmao 's Cass Apocalypse Au is driving me up the wall, and I have words!!
Everyone who is reading the series knows it is currently in the process of Casey Jr. resurrecting his uncle/dad's.
Theory Time!
First off, let's go into why Casey can do this.
Tumblr media
Yes, Cass has confirmed that the memory spell that was used was mixed with a time travel one. Thus, using one's memory's as a gateway to not only traverse time but dimensions.
However, Casey Jr. is able to see spirits when he does this but also remains physically in the present - which leads me to think that he is being astroprojected across time and space as a literal spirit. Hence why he can visit his memories and the past without altering the events on a physical level. As a spirit, Casey Jr. can see and engage with other spirits in existence at that time.
Tumblr media
In the powers of spirit to spirit interaction, he is the only person alive who can literally pull other spirits through dimensions. With his body anchored in one time branch and his memories anchored in the other one, Casey Jr. Is the literal bridge for spirits to cross from one to the other.
No matter the condition of the spirit.
Theory #2
Cass has shown us F.Mikey communing with his ancestors when Donnie originally pasted on. It also was largely suspected the krangg could destroy ninpo and spirits.
Tumblr media
With the Hamatos, spirits and ninpo are consister linked if not one. So, of course, when Casey Jr. travels back to his past in his time branch and is able to intact and unintentionally pull Donnie's disintegrating spirit into and out of time with him; Casey Jr. effectively saved Donnie's ninpo. Immediately after his recuse, Donnie admits that his NINPO is in shambles and that he is doing everything in his power to hold it together.
Tumblr media
With this confirmation in mind, let's have a look at the conditions surrounding the other turtles' ninpos and spirits.
First off, Raph
Tumblr media
Raph's spirit and ninpo were perfectly healed and intact with in the robot body Donnie created for him. The only thing is that Raph's 'body' could be turned activated or shut down. Like a Fullmetal Alchemist parallel, Raph's soul, spirit, and ninpo are housed within a metal container. In episode two or three, when Casey Jr. found the robot, Raph was reactivated after an emergency shutdown that lasted YEARS.
Tumblr media
His ninpo and spirit woke up. Know that, shutting himself down again to allow his generator to be redirected as a power source would not kill Raph but rather put him to sleep. He would never die but remain suspended for all time, trapped in his metal shell until someone reactivated him.
This made Raph not only be the easiest but most accessible spirit for Casey Jr. to rescue. Raphs' spirit would have remained there, in perfect condition, for however long it took for Casey to get to him.
Now, let's look at Mikey.
This old mystic warrior was the most in tune and most powerfully adept with his abilities. Drained he may have been, Mikey said that opening a time gateway would use whatever he had left. His mystic powers and ninpo are linked. Opening the time gateway was a strain on his spirit, his ninpo. He was literally splintering apart as he opened the portal. In Mikey’s moment of death, he pushed the last of his ninpo in the portal. His ninpo burst like a firework.
Tumblr media
At this point of this written theory, Mikey's has not been rescued.
This leads me to speculate the condition and difficulty of said rescue for one Casey Jr. Mikey's soul is untrained by Krangg's chemical warfare, so it is not in danger of disintegrating but nor is his soul bound to a metal shell, his spirit is actually free to reform and rejoin his Hamato clan.
This leaves Casey Jr. vary little time to connect with Mikey's spirit. There is the option that he will witness Mikey's ninpo shattering into a million pieces. However, he may also be witness to Mikey's ninpo, in stark contrast to Donnie rapidly decaying ninpo spirit, pull back together. In glorious younger self. All golden and whole.
All that training and usage of his ninpo would have given his spirit and ninpo the ability to reform faster than one that was infected with a ninpo-distorying illness. This moment, where Mikey spirit lingers before ascending or choosing to join with his ancestors, Casey would have to approach.
Then again... Mikey could also rather stick around and wait for Leo to join him.
Option 2 is that when Mikey explodes, Casey Jr. would have to act fast to catch the ninpo pieces upon explosion. I like option number one a lot better.
Regardless, Mikey could be a time sensitive rescue. Mikey is quite literally a wild card in this realm.
This brings us to Leo.
Can you see where I'm going with this?
It's not a secret that Casey has related to Younger Leo about how his future self was a shield for Mikey's ninpo.
Tumblr media
F.Leo is shown to have sacrificed the use of his ninpo, or lack there of, to draw the Kranggs apparently one-time-use ability to lock or damage ninpo/magic on to himself to free Mikey to mystically blast Kranggs to oblivion. In contrast to Mikey's fully intact Hamato ninpo, Leo's utterly demolished ninpo is in full view for us to see .
Tumblr media
How it got way we can only speculate - but it may have been sacrificed to help Mikey originally and never fully recovered. F.Leo even claimed once, after using his ninja skills of speed to confuse and irritate Krangg into using that ninpo destroying sonic wave they have, that he had no magic or anything for them to destroy.
So here is the thing. If a Hamato spirit and ninpo are one in the same... where does this leave Leo's spirit? His soul? His ninpo? It's all in pieces, broken, destroyed. Claimed to no longer exist. But the pieces remain.
They are pieces in a container. Like how Raph's spirit and ninpo were contained in metal, Leo's broken ones were still collected together within his living body.
So what happens when Leo's body is incinerated by that krangg's beam death? Like his twin, Leo’s spirit has been affected by the krangg and was unable to heal. There is no holding himself together here. He is most likely already like clear glass like pieces on the breeze or scattering in the wake of the after math. Destined to fade from existence.
He's the most likely to join his Hamato ancestors immediately, but without the ability to pull his ninpo together on his own, Leo would take time to reform with the Hamoto Clans help.
If Casey is to save Leo's ninpo and spirit at all, he would have to find away to collect the pieces of Leo's shattered ninpo once the beam hits.
Another problem, if Kraggs technology has the effect of destroying one's spirit, Casey's astroprojected spirit could be in danger if that death beam gets too close. He wouldn't be able to save his sensai and himself if that is in the way and active.
Saving Leonardo's shattered spirit and ninpo would not only be near impossible, but a definite risk to Casey Jr.'s own spirit. Astroprojecting his spirit still puts put's his life in clear physical danger of coming in contact with spirit damaging tech. Saving any remnant of his sensai's spirit and ninpo is going to acquire a plan. Or dumb luck.
That being said... Donnie is our evidence that even in pieces, Leo could be saved. Casey Jr. would have to get dangerously close to the death beam. That or stand among the lingering pieces of Leo's soul as they float for a moment in the aftermath. In any instance, all Casey Jr. would need to do is come in contact with any of these spirit partials, and they would all be sucked up in to him.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure Leo's broken spirit would be overly responsive to any of Casey' Jr. 's concerned shouts, if at all. But Casey would be able to feel him.
On returning to the present, we know from Donnie that krangg effects are left behind. This would result in two ways of Leo being resurrected.
1. On returning to the present, Casey would scramble for the cloning tube and instantly deposit the ninpo fragments. Leo would return with a new body shell for his broken bits. In this case, Leo would probably be comatose for a good long while until his pieces, now cleansed from anything krangg, reform and heal in safty.
2. Leo's ninpo is too weak to transfer into his clone and takes refuge in Casey instead until his cleansed ninpo pieces find a way to pull together. Maybe with help from Mikey?
Also, could Casey house two Hamato souls at once? Since Mikey and Leo practically died at the same time.
Because to wrap horribly long theory thread, I would almost expect a spirit Mikey to tell Casey's to grab Leo first then come back for him as Mikey's spirit is safe in the aftermather of the death beam. If Casey housed two Hamato spirits at once (headache just thinking about it), then Mikey mystic warrior aspect could collect and even help mend Leo's shattered ninpo.
But in conclusion, F. Leo is the most at risk and dangerous Hamato spirit to rescue. Logic states that there would be a possibility that F.Leo may never get rescued and be a lonely turtle spirit with his ancestors after. However, this is Cass's Au and Donnie of all people is defying logic. So I predict that some kind of Dumb Luck option from above will be Leo's saving grace. I just feel Casey Jr. is going to have a few singe marks on his soul to tell about when all this is said and done.
TL:DR - Raph was the easiest turtle to rescue as his spirit was stuck in a tin can. Mikey is a wild card in terms of spirit condition, but saveable on a time limit. Leo is the most riskiest and dangerous to save with a broken ninpo.
Casey Jr. and Donnie have no fear.
Live on future turtles!

So there is the question about Rio in Agatha's/Agnes' house when Billy was around.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think Rio was there but not in a form we know, or maybe just in spirit form or in her True Form.
One of the clues for me is when 'Agnes' left the living room to check out the noise in her home.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the camera still lingered on Rio when Agatha left the living room. I think that's already a clue that Rio was there.
Then when Agatha 'woke up' she realized she wasn't just thirsty and imagined Rio, Rio really was there:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"But if you're real and not a figment of my imprisoned mind, then that means..."
So, Rio was not a figment of Agatha's mind when Agent Vidal was around. Rio was really there but the question is, what form was she in?

Nevermore Theory: It’s not about “The Tell-Tale Heart”
Okay, it’s time for another Friday night rant.
Recently, I’ve been coming across some excellent thoughts and predictions about Season 2, so now I’m ready to throw own my hat in the Nevermore Theory ring.
In Nevermore, almost every character is based off of one of Poe’s works. Lenore is from the poem “Lenore”, Morella is from the short story “Morella”, Prospero is from “The Masque of Red Death”, etc. There are also some characters that draw on more than one of Poe’s works, most notably Duke who takes inspiration from “The Cask of Amontillado” (Fortunato) and “The Duc de L’Omellete” (Duke).
Now, Annabel Lee is obviously based on the poem “Annabel Lee”, which the webcomic even opens with, but @moxiepower2 and @takescrackseriously have also made the connection between Annabel Lee and “The Tell-Tale Heart” and theorized that Annabel might also be a dual-themed character like Duke. I personally find that reading very convincing too!
Tumblr media
(I mean c’mon, her spectre has a giant heart-shaped hole in it, the logo for the WEBTOON is beating heart with wings, it’s one of Poe’s most famous works, so on and so forth.)
But today, I’m going to stick my neck out and say, it’s NOT about “The Tell-Tale Heart” (at least not entirely. Annabel Lee could be based on even more than two works!).
I think Annabel Lee’s character points to another of Poe’s stories that lines up really well with the direction of Nevermore as a whole:
Tumblr media
That’s right, it’s time to talk about “The Pit and the Pendulum”.
First, I’m going to need to explain this leap in logic, because it’s definitely not as clear as Annabel’s heart motif. Let’s start with the visuals.
Yes, Annabel Lee and Nevermore in general have a strong heart motif, but isn’t it a little odd that Annabel’s heart isn’t totally empty?
Tumblr media
It’s a great visual focus for her character design, but that shape is awfully familiar, and it swings around an awful lot like a pendulum, doesn’t it?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And we know that Annabel (as an actual ghost-type spectre) can control the pendulum.
Tumblr media
AND Annabel Lee gives the pendulum back to Lenore, with a lock of her hair tied around it, literally binding herself to the tool.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That’s… an awful lot of interaction with an item that is unrelated to her inspiration poem AND has served exactly zero purpose in the story so far. There HAS to be a reason Red and Flynn keep bringing this damn thing up because they play the long con with their foreshadowing (Dirt on Ada’s hands, Annabel Lee’s panic attack, Lenore taking Annabel’s blot, the gun having no bullets at the very beginning of the webcomic).
So now, I want to delve further into the actual text of “The Pit and the Pendulum” because it mirrors a lot what we’ve seen so far in season 1 and could be a good start for predicting what comes next in season 2!
For those who haven’t read “The Pit and the Pendulum” it follows an unnamed narrator who has been arrested by the Spanish Inquisition, pronounced guilty to some crime (it could have been anything, that’s just how the Inquisition rolls), and is subjected to all kinds of unusual torture methods before being rescued by the French army.
What I find so interesting about this story though is that its structure loosely matches the trials that the Deans have set up at Nevermore Academy.
For instance after swooning at his sentencing, the narrator wakes up in a pitch-black room and tries to figure out the shape of his prison by making a circuit. He finds that it’s around a hundred paces, but because of the “many angles in the wall” he can “form no guess at the shape of the vault”. In reality however, the room is perfectly square and only half the number of steps in circuit.
How did the narrator make such a big error in estimating the size of the room? Because he passed out right after missing the marker he had been using to keep track of his location, thus making two laps instead of one.
Now let’s compare it with the first obstacle for Nevermore students, the Labyrinth. Students are thrust into the maze without any knowledge of how to manifest (Annabel only knowing how to because of the Deans making a surprise appearance in class). So metaphorically, they’re also in the dark, and as Lenore and Duke find out as soon as they enter the maze, the labyrinth’s geometry also seems to shift.
Most convincingly (in my opinion), Lenore also looses track of herself during the Dementophobia trial, just like how the Pendulum narrator faints, which is one of the main reasons the misfit trio almost fail.
Tumblr media
That near failure also mimics what happens next in the short story, the narrator trips and narrowly avoids falling into a giant pit (hence the title).
That really ticks off the Spanish Inquisition, just like how Lenore pisses off the Deans by surviving, and so the Inquisition does what it does best, and devises a new torture method. This time, the narrator awakens to find himself strapped down to a plank and gazing up at a figure of Kronos, only instead of Father Time wielding a scythe, he’s wielding a massive bladed pendulum (there’s the second half of the title, you’re welcome).
I find this image very telling because it’s supposed to relay the message that the narrator’s death is inevitable. You can’t fight the passage of time, and it doesn’t get less subtle than the god of time killing you with a clock part.
Similarly, ringing the bell in the widow’s watch is supposed to be an impossible task, meant mainly to give the students who have manifested a chance to flex their powers. The Deans admit as much:
Tumblr media
But back to the short story, the narrator doesn’t exactly realize his predicament at first. He just thinks it’s kind of an interesting change of scenery and he’s more worried about the fact that his captors have provided him with “meat pungently seasoned” and no water to quench his thirst, which he figures is the real torture method. Oh and the rats. They’re pretty scary too, especially when it occurs to him that he’s definitely not the first person to be shoved in this room, and those rats have to have been eating something.
Eventually, he does notice the pendulum slowly lowering and spends the next *checks notes* 9 paragraphs alternating between despair, apathy, and frenzy. (There’s actually quite a lot to dissect here with regards to Nevermore’s treatment of madness, but let’s save that for later.)
Then he gets a bright idea and rubs spicy meat all over his bonds with the one free arm the Inquisition left him to presumably eat said meat.
Why does he do this?
To entice the rats into eating his bonds, of course! He has to play dead for a bit, and also let rats crawl all over him, but it works and our narrator escapes after a few cuts.
Okay, now let’s take a look at the parallels to that trial in Nevermore. I’ve already gone over the comparison to the bell ringing class as a kind of Sisyphean task, but Lenore also almost gets eaten by Prospero’s rats:
Tumblr media
She also succeeds because the people, who are supposed to be her enemies, help her, just like how the rats aid the narrator in escaping. Did I just compare Ada, Pluto, Morella, and Annabel Lee to rats? Yes. Yes, I did.
But I’m going to specifically single out Annabel Lee in this case because Lenore also has to play dead in order to ring the bell. Specifically she pretends to give in to Annabel’s “Kiss of Death”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So both Lenore and the narrator are momentarily successful after reports of their death are greatly exaggerated.
Then they have the crushing realization that they’re still trapped. Then narrator in the dungeons of Toledo, and Lenore with…
Tumblr media
(Minor aside, this is some phenomenal scene work.)
And now the final trial (for our hapless narrator at least). The Inquisition, having been denied their sliced prisoner sandwich, decide to roast him alive instead. You see, the metal walls of the cell can actually be heated up, oh and also they can flatten themselves by pulling the corners apart like a collapsing square.
So the narrator has two choices. Death by being burned alive, or death by falling into the pit at the center of room (remember that detail? It’s still the same room).
To put it in Nevermore terms, Lenore can either test her luck with the Deans OR:
Tumblr media
This guy :)
Now, do I think the Deans created The Wild Hunt? No, and I would be very interested in if the Stag turns out to be related to Theo in some way, but I bet the Deans purposefully invited The Wild Hunt into the Academy in order to corral them back into obedience/kill off the troublemakers. (Or maybe they were just bored, who knows?)
NOW FOR THE ACTUAL THEORY PART (How in the world did it take so long to get here? I only have a paragraph left in the short story to use for theory crafting!)
”The Pit and the Pendulum” ends with the narrator being saved literally as he is falling into the eponymous pit by General Lasalle of the French army. That doesn’t make sense because Lasalle wasn’t in the Battle of Toledo where the story takes place, but anachronisms are incredibly prevalent in Nevermore. Pretty much every character comes from a different time and place than the others, most prominently Eulalie, who is probably Japanese and probably died in WWII (though who knows, maybe she was a proto-weeb and died in the firebombings of Dresden).
My theory is that similarly, the main cast is going to be saved by a third party who intervenes during the Hunt. Then, the narrative is going to shift away from Nevermore Academy and towards the afterlife at large. We’ve gotten plenty of hints about the outside, particularly towards the end of Season 1, so I don’t think it’s that unlikely, and if I may make a second literary connection, Nevermore is kind of like the Hunger Games.
Wait! Let me explain.
You have a group of kids/young adults fighting in a premade arena designed by antagonistic game makers where only one of them can come out alive. Generic? Yes? But looking at the Hunger Games Trilogy’s structure, we start with the Hunger Games, get a variation in the Quarter Quell, and then abandon the games to explore a broader scope of the world.
Now, I have the utmost faith in Red and Flynn’s ability to keep the dark academia setting fresh, but the path of least resistance might be getting out of the classroom.
It’s a weak and vague theory, that I don’t even really subscribe to myself, but I thought I should follow the short story to its end at least.
But if I don’t believe in my theory, why did I bother spending the last two hours writing this post?
Well, one, I really like pointing out the parallels between Poe’s work and Nevermore. It’s clear that Red and Flynn put so SO much effort into Nevermore and I genuinely think getting to be in on all those details enhances the reading experience.
But two, do you remember how I started this post?
That’s right, talking about Annabel Lee.
I’ve been doing a lot of comparison between Lenore and the actual text of “The Pit and Pendulum” but I want to show you this illustration of the short story by Harry Clarke:
Tumblr media
Does that outfit remind you of anything? Maybe…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, Clarke drew the above piece nearly 80 years after “The Pit and the Pendulum” was first published, but considering how prominent this illustration is for the short story, I bet Red and Flynn studied it when writing Nevermore, and I find that really intriguing considering where they chose to reuse the outfit.
There are ribbons all over Nevermore (everyone with a ponytail has one to tie up their hair, Ada uses hers to set Lenore’s broken fingers), but the motif of being bound by ribbons occurs when the narrative is invoking ideas of madness and memory, specifically for Annabel.
And would you look at that. “The Pit and the Pendulum” brings up both of those ideas together: “the madness of a memory which busies itself among forbidden things.”
That’s the last line of the third paragraph, and it’s exactly what Annabel is doing in the bathtub, recalling taboo memories of Lenore.
Plus, this passage happens as the narrator is trying to recover from a swoon, and what do you know? There’s only one character in Nevermore who swooned in season one: Annabel Lee.
Tumblr media
Okay? So? Nevermore already has a lot of parallels to this damn story, and I’ve spent the entire post point them out for crying out loud.
But! Poe is very specific about how we recover from a swoon:
“In the return to life from the swoon there are two stages; first, that of the sense of mental or spiritual; secondly, that of the sense of physical, existence. It seems probable that if, upon reaching the second stage, we could recall the impressions of the first, we should find these impressions eloquent in memories of the gulf beyond.” (Emphasis added)
Again, doesn’t that sound familiar? Throughout season 1, the main cast have all been slowly recovering their memories and thus unlocking their spectres which represent fragments of their true selves and desires.
So here’s my actual theory: in the past, Nevermore Academy was used by lost souls to recover their “mental and spiritual” identities, before they reclaimed their “physical existence” at the light beyond the grounds in order to “return to life”.
More importantly, I think the final arc of Nevermore (or epilogue I guess is more likely?) will take place in the mortal world and be about the cast “[recalling] the impressions of [their mental or spiritual senses” (ie. their time at Nevermore Academy) post-second stage, thus completing Poe’s perfect recovery.
Reincarnation isn’t Nevermore’s endgame.
Maybe they have to leave their spectres behind at Nevermore Academy like in the “Theo is the Stag” theory and the final act is about them reclaiming their personas stands spectres to fight against the Deans, or maybe we’re going to go Kimi no Na wa and just get them running into each other and remembering (which would be lame) or Annabel being the only one who remembers and gradually hiking across the globe to find the others (which would be a very cool reversal given how Lenore is usually the one trying to form genuine connections [we’re starting to see some promising Prospero-Annabel friendship development though!] but now we’re also getting into fanfic territory).
Personally, my happy ending at the moment would be Annabel and Lenore teaming up, kicking the Deans out, and reestablishing Nevermore Academy as a sojourn for reincarnating spirits. That way we don’t have to go through reincarnation drama (again) and everyone who sticks around can just chill out and lead peaceful (after)lives or be teachers and show newcomers how to awaken their spectres. But again, fanfic territory.
Wow, that was a whole lot of text that didn’t really amount to an actual theory, but I hope you guys enjoyed reading it?
TLDR if you didn’t: Nevermore season 1 is actually a sapphic rewrite of “The Pit and the Pendulum”, the Deans are the Spanish Inquisition, and the Nevermore’s endgame is going to take place in the mortal world after reincarnation.
Also, I have no spine like Ada and don’t have any conviction in my theories lmao

AAA THEORY - How Lilia’s Tarot Reading will come into Play in the Finale
Spoilers for episode 7
Okay so I’m going to take a pause from literally thirsting over…death XD
Because my brain just thought of something — a theory about HOW Lilia’s tarot spread from episode 7 is going to come into play in the last two episodes.
I was tracking the cards before episode 7 and have compiled my knowledge (and little experience) with tarot in order to make sense of it.
Tumblr media
Here is a general idea of what these cards mean:
Death -> usually doesn’t represent physical death in a reading. It is usually implying the end of a cycle, sometimes a relationship or interest and usually implies an increased sense of self awareness. It also indicates a time of transformation.
Queen of Cups -> represents a mature female who embodies qualities of love and kindness and sensitivity. It usually exudes compassion, emotional depth and intuitive wisdom.
Three of Swords -> associated with heartbreak sorrow and emotional pain. There can be a positive interpretation like someone or something will help you see the truth of the situation.
The Tower Reversed -> it’s a warning of things to come and can suggest a resistance to personal transformation. A warning that there will be a big impact on one’s life. The Tower upright notably can be associated to significant change, upheaval, devastation and turmoil. Expect the unexpected.
The High Priestess -> can be interpreted as a disconnection from one’s intuition. It represents mystery, intuition, the unknown, the subconscious mind, and spiritual knowledge.
Three of Pentacles -> education, apprenticeship, research, and can also be effort, dedication, resolves, commitment, and the value of collaboration.
Knight of Wands -> Upright meaning: represents a surge of energy, daring adventures, and self assured confidence. It signifies the completion of tasks and the fulfillment of goals. In short urging us to finish what we start. The knight ushers in the spirit of the hero, brave and rebellious and moves towards positive changes with an open mind and free spirit.
- Reverse meaning: warns against arrogance, lack of self discipline and recklessness, fear and lack of enthusiasm or ambition. The Knight advises caution and encourages us to think before we act, and to avoid rushing in without considering the consequences.
Ok so now that I got that out there, I was pretty convinced Lilia will come back in some capacity — because she said it herself in this episode, time is an illusion. And we watched her experience her life in a non-linear fashion. She also said to Agatha before she sent her on her way; “When she calls you a coward, hit the deck.”
Now I originally thought huh, she’s probably telling her to dodge because we know that Agatha and Rio will quarrel— but again Lilia experiences her life out of order…so what if she’s telling Agatha to call upon her magic when she fights Rio?
She could have told her to duck, but she specifically says “hit the deck” and that could be in reference to Lilia’s tarot deck.
Here’s where I think Lilia’s last reading holds more weight than just this episode:
Following how she reads the cards:
- Queen of cups -> “Empathetic, intuitive, inner voice to be trusted.”
This card is in reference to Lilia— she is the wise mature woman of their coven and holds vast knowledge. However I want to point out her choice of “inner voice to be trusted” could not only be in reference to her trusting herself but also that her coven can rely on her. “When she calls you a coward, hit the deck” -> “inner voice to be trusted” as in Agatha should trust herself or rely on Lilia’s magic when the time comes. Perhaps Lilia may come back to Agatha as an inner voice or spirit as moral support.
- “What’s missing? Three of Pentacles. Collaboration, community, singular voices waiting to harmonize. I needed you my coven.”
This is probably the more obvious one— Lilia needs the coven as much as Agatha and co need her. There will be collaboration at the end of the road, it’s going to be a team effort. Most likely to help Agatha fight her ex (oof).
- “The Path behind. The Knight of Wands. Full of fire. Fights bravely.”
It’s upright when she reads it. As mentioned above the upright can resemble a call to finish tasks -> interesting how this is the path behind card and in reference to Alice. Note how Lilia refers to this card in the present tense. This could potentially mean that Alice’s task isn’t quite finished yet. Perhaps “I’ll see you at the end” in her mother’s ballad may mean more than we think. She could show up as a ghost or potentially through song -> her mother’s ballad protection spell becomes Alice’s protection spell to help her coven. Hence how she’s the path behind and yet still fights bravely. Perhaps the reverse melanin of the card has already played out— to note they use both upright and reverse in reference to Billy, so there could be something there.
- “The Path Ahead, High Priestess. Immense spiritual power, unable or unwilling to use it.”
This card Lilia references Jen— Lilia clearly knows something. This is most likely in reference to Jen’s state of mind. Mentioned above, the High Priestess can mean a disconnection from one’s intuition. So yes, I think in the finale Jen will break free from whatever is bounding her (herself), but going back to the three of pentacles it won’t be possible without her coven and without Lilia. We see her bond with Lilia in episode 7. I think Lilia’s sacrifice will have the hugest impact on Jen, teaching her the “inner voice to be trusted”. Perhaps Lilia’s faith in her coven will be what Jen needs to stand at full power to help Agatha and Billy in the oncoming fight.
- “Obstacles. Three of Swords. Heartbreak, sorrow, grief.”
We know this one is Agatha. It’s definitely in reference to her grief with losing her son, Nicky (grief), but I think also implies her trauma (sorrow), and her relationship with Rio (heartbreak). Agatha’s trial isn’t over and she needs to trudge ahead— Lilia knows this and says “when she calls you a coward hit the deck.” Agatha is going to need to call upon her coven in order to get through her obstacles. What if she’s there telling Agatha to call upon her when she’s at her lowest? Or Agatha remembers her words when she’s backed in a corner..
- “the windfall…tower reversed. Disaster, destruction, sudden upheaval, but reversed, it means miraculous transformation.”
Billy will go through a transformation of some kind, and rather than finding his brother, I’m more certain it’s going to be his identity as William Kaplan and Billy Maximoff— because that’s a question he’s wondering. I also think it will be a transformation of his relationship with Agatha, their current relationship is rocky and full of grief and sorrow. They could be making amends. It could also be how his current self will transform after meeting Rio at the end. She may or may not collect his soul.
- “and finally, the destination…”
- “In the end all roads lead to me.”
- “Rio is…”
She’s death. The final destination is Rio. Not entirely— as I mentioned before in tarot Death doesn’t usually mean physical death. it’s indicating closure and transformation. Ironically, Billy’s card is hinting at transformation, so potentially Rio will help him close a chapter on his life (maybe not to collect his soul) but to properly have William Kaplan pass on.
Lilia’s fate already ends with her coven but by sacrificing herself for them she transforms into something greater — even dead she will still be helping them from the grave. Time is an illusion after all ;) and it will be time soon for her coven to “hit the deck” for her advice.
Alice’s task will end when she’s successfully protected her coven. She may come back if Agatha can figure out how to control her powers supposedly. She may also come back in the form of a protection spell to protect her people in their final battle.
Jen’s cycle of self doubt and disconnection with her intuition will come to an end with her transforming into the capable witch she is but even greater because she does it for her coven.
Agatha, (I know y’all are scared of her dying) I’m going to tell you that’s not the case. It WILL be the “death of Agatha” in the sense of her journey of running away from Rio (heartbreak), trauma (sorrow), and Nicky (grief) -> the current version of Agatha will cease to exist. Agatha will learn to trust her coven because when “she calls you a coward, hit the deck” will be in reference to relying on Lilia. She’s going to have to trust her coven if she’s truly going to overcome her obstacles.
Rio desperately wants the Agatha that loved her back. We know she’s a simp— and that she still loves her, she’s just very hurt and angry. Ideally Rio’s pain, or her scar for that matter will come to a close and with it a transformation in Agatha and her’s relationship. I’m mostly going to say they begin the path to healing and coming back together.
To conclude:
Here’s how I think it’s going to go:
- Rio’s trial/Billy’s trial will tell us what their closure and transformation will be.
- Rio and Agatha are going to fight because Agatha won’t deal with her long CYCLE OF TRAUMA - hence she’s a coward.
- Agatha realizing she can’t overcome any of this by herself will realize when Billy stands with her— that she needs her coven: Jen will unleash her full potential and Agatha will hit the deck—a tarot deck that is Lilia’s (and possibly contains Alice’s protection spell) will be with her.
- The whole coven will stand with Agatha with Alice’s protection spell and Lilia’s tarot ( aka there in spirit )
- Agatha will then realize how to control her powers and in doing so Alice comes back from dead (let me have my copium)
- It’s going to end with Rio and Agatha ending how their current relationship is and starting over by letting go of their grief and moving forward together.
I wonder how on point I will be. I solely got this idea from that one line Lilia said to Agatha before she died…I apologize to anyone if this is actually very accurate and you feel spoiled later. Potential apologies in advance!

Theory Time: I Love You
Tumblr media
I’ve been thinking more about the theory that Blitz was about to say “I love you” to Stolas at the end of Mastermind, and honestly, I still don’t think that’s what he was going to say. To me, it feels too soon for them to reach that milestone, especially when so much unresolved tension is hanging in the air. They haven’t even talked about what happened at Ozzie’s or the grimoire situation, and I feel like those issues need to be addressed first. With the season finale coming up, I wouldn’t be surprised if those conversations mark the turning point where Stolitz shifts from semi-canon to fully canon.
And let’s not forget, earlier in the episode, Blitz was so quick to say, “You can stay with me,” the second Stolas told him he had nothing left— not even his clothes (which were soon dirtied, like come on Viv, you’re breaking my heart here 😭). That moment felt raw and real, a reflection of Blitz’s instinctive care for Stolas even if he struggles to express it openly.
Now, I do know that Blitz is capable of saying “I love you” to his found family and employees now, but I think it’s a bit too soon for him to say that to Stolas specifically. Stolas is in a really tough place right now—he’s been banished, he’s figuring out how to live like a commoner, and on top of that, he’s dealing with the loss of Octavia’s companionship. That’s a lot of stress and grief to process all at once. Adding a love confession into the mix might feel overwhelming or ill-timed. Blitz is pragmatic, so I think what he was really going to say was something like, “Hey Stolas, I want to hire you as part of I.M.P.” This would give Stolas a way to support himself while also bringing them closer together in a meaningful, practical way.
Also the man was not blind; if Blitz WAS going to say it to Stolas in that moment because he’s on a “ILY” path 😂 — he knew with the way that everything happened and with the way how emotionally exhausted Stolas was who basically passed out from the occurred events — he knew then wasn’t the right time to say it, so instead he kept to himself and smiled at him.
Conclusion:
I can see Viv setting it up so Blitz says “I love you” at the end of the next episode, tying it to all the growth he’s been building toward. It’d be a huge moment for him and their relationship, and it feels like the kind of emotional payoff that’s been brewing for a while.
Or maybe Stolas says it first, which could throw Blitz off and force him to really face his feelings. That could shift the dynamic in a big way and make his eventual “I love you” hit even harder.
Although Stolas had already said it once before but Blitz quickly shot it down by mocking him about it, thinking it was part of the role play. So, Whilst I would LOVE to say that it could also come from Stolas but honestly I think it’s probably more important if Blitz — the one who did it in the first place — was the one who said it first and with the way things are going now? I think he just might.
Either way, I think Viv will find a way to make the moment land. Whether it’s emotional, awkward, or even funny, it’s bound to stick with us and make their relationship feel even more real.

Frank is Pisces
I made a thread for this theory on TSBS Discord server and it blew up (it blew up so much more than I ever thought it would, like Jesus Christ. I'm super happy about it though). I figured that since I moved all my canon info stuff over here from the server, I might as well move my theory stuff over too
Long post warning, since there's a lot here. A lot of this exists because I was possessed by my adhd demon one night, noticed something about Frank, and then ran wild with it
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Last two pictures are part of a chart that SqarletGecko made for this theory. If Sqarlet sees this at any point, hi, hello! I appreciate you for feeding into this, Sqarlet)
There will be more images tacked on later. I'd add them now, but unfortunately, there's a 10 picture limit to posts. As stupid as that is. ANYWAY
Frank’s strong enough to kill two different witherstorms. Although him outright killing them was never verified, it was one of the only ways he could’ve come back so soon. The only other way would’ve been to wait by the portal, but assuming Moon would’ve closed it off due to the dimensions that Frank was in housing witherstorms, Frank would’ve had to find another way out
His name is neither Frank nor Forkface, so it’s entirely possible that it could be Pisces
Sqarlet pointed out that Castor said “Pisces is probably off doing his own thing”, which could be anything, and it certainly doesn’t preclude Pisces being on earth as Frank, doing whatever he’s been doing
In the “Lunar Gets Friendzoned” vrchat episode, Castor mentions Pisces again, this time saying (in reference to how Lunar’s “final test” would go, and how someone would be sent to judge his ability to control his powers) “Could be Nebula, could be Libra. Could be Pisces, but I doubt that. Hell, it could even be Taurus.” This is the second time Castor’s mentioned Pisces, as if he doesn’t have a whopping 10 other signs he could pull names from (minus Gemini and Pisces, obviously). This could be a case of simply sticking to a smaller pool out of the 12 names, but still
Castor has mentioned Pisces offhandedly two different times. Yeah, there could be a really simple explanation for that, but it sticks out to me, and I can't pinpoint why
During an Uno video, they did a “one breath for yes, two for no” thing with Frank, and he confirmed that he had a bad past. Given some of the things that Castor has said about Taurus, it’s a possibility that Frank/Pisces was trying to get away from him. Some other Pisces traits are that they’re supposed to be super empathetic and deeply emotional. If Taurus said or did something that impacted Frank/Pisces enough, he could’ve chosen to leave
For a while, Frank didn’t seem to react much when people acted scared of him, but as he’s spent more time with the channels, he’s developing more emotionally, which would make sense if he was younger. According to a google search I ran, “Pisces emotional sensitivity is high, helping them to remain in tune with others also leaving them vulnerable to criticism, worrying about about the effects that their actions might have on others,” which could explain why he acted so sad when he briefly appeared in the lobby in an FFFS episode and everyone acted scared of him
Pisces has a heightened emotional sensitivity, they're very in tune with the emotions of those around them, and this in turn makes them worry about how others might react to them
In another Uno video, Foxy made a lighthearted comment to Frank about how he reminded him of his son, since he has a habit of inserting himself into situations and things. There are other characters who do this too, meaning that Foxy could’ve compared Frank to literally anyone, and yet, he chose a character that’s a child. If Frank is Pisces, he’d be the youngest of the astral bodies
Tumblr media
If you watch him, Frank does have some childlike mannerisms and behaviors. The first thing is the way he sometimes wants to show someone something, but then gets upset when they touch it. It’s like when a kid gets a new toy and shows their friend, but then gets upset when their friends tries playing with it because it’s theirs. The second thing is him apparently drawing on the wall underneath Earth’s bed. Drawing on walls is something that kids do. The third thing is him trying to feed Earth a piece of pizza. Kids will sometimes try to feed people too, though it’s typically only with people they’re close with, that they know pretty well
If Frank is Pisces and therefore the youngest of the astral bodies, there’s a chance that he chose to show up in the daycare because he knows it’s a safe place for kids, and that there are good caretakers there (Sun, Moon, Earth, and Lunar). He could’ve chosen a daycare attendant-esque form to blend in better with the daycare environment, or he could’ve copied what he saw of the caretakers there, much like how kids copy the adults they see
Pisces is the youngest of the astral bodies, so everything that Frank does that seems like something a kid might do,, could sort of tie in with that. Frank has seemed to somewhat mature and "grow up" in a sense as of recently though, so these childlike habits and behaviors have begun to become rarer and rarer
Pisces has ties to illusions, dreams, and the subconscious. This could explain the times when Frank appeared in both Monty and Earth’s dreams, and then dragged the Stitchwraith into his own mind. In the case of Monty’s dream, Frank knew that they’d had problems with their dad and he’d even offered to be their listening ear, so seeing the shape Monty was in emotionally and mentally after their dad died, Frank may have guided them to an image of their dad to try to promote a form of closure and emotional healing and recovery before Monty woke up (did I mention that being a healer is also a Pisces trait?). He was silent in the dream, so Monty’s mind couldn't have heard his signature heavy breathing and did something funky with that. In Earth’s case, Frank somehow knew that she was having a nightmare and he came to wake her up, repeatedly saying “no fear”, as if he was telling her not to be afraid. With the Stitchwraith, the Stitchwraith wasn’t aware that he’d been pulled into his own mind. Frank didn’t confirm that he was until he told the Stitchwraith that “It’s just a bad dream, a nightmare”, and told him to wake up
More Pisces traits are wanting to help people and being a healer. Adding in the ties to illusions, dreams, and the subconscious, I feel like creating dreams to help people recover from things wouldn't be too farfetched. In the case of Earth, Frank knew she was having a nightmare and wanted to wake her up so that she wouldn't be scared anymore. To this day, I have no way to explain how he could've possibly known about her having a nightmare, aside from sensing her distress and/or having some kind of connection to her subconscious
I found a snippet of an article that said “When we meet Pisces, we are taken aback by their remote coldness; they often act like confused geniuses or oddballs who have trouble interacting with others.” It’s confirmed that Frank is highly intelligent; he somehow knew how to get into Moon’s computer and registered himself as the primary user, and he somehow swiped Foxy’s voicebox and installed it in himself, then took it back out and reinstalled it in Foxy. Frank is also an oddball, but I don’t really need to explain that one
Frank has made it abundantly clear that he doesn’t like Ruin. He’s had many opportunities to take him out or even just attack him, but he hasn’t. Castor has stated that astral bodies typically don’t get involved with things or associate with people unless they really need to. If Frank is Pisces, he may have avoided going after Ruin because it’d go against the rules
There are some mixed messages on whether or not Pisces is a rule follower, but a couple things I found that stuck out to me implied that sometimes they follow the rules, and sometimes they do whatever they want as long as they’re satisfied. We were given a glimpse of this with Frank when Lunar tried to run him over with a car in a vrchat episode. Frank didn’t seem to care as much about the fact that he was nearly run over, and instead, became agitated with Lunar for parking incorrectly. He also made Lunar get in his car, and then proceeded to move it out of the alley and to the drive thru, where Lunar was supposed to be anyways. He might’ve also reacted poorly to Monty and Earth bringing a goose into the restaurant they were in, since animals don’t belong there. Beyond that, Frank’s also gotten upset with Sun and tried to menacingly follow him around the room when Sun cheated during a game of Uno, showing that he doesn’t like cheaters
Frank seems to have a knack for interrupting people’s dates. Most of the time, he’s trying to help but doesn’t seem to grasp that his behavior might be making people uncomfortable, BUT according to google, the Pisces sign is known for being jealous of other people’s love lives. After the death of Ruined Monty, Frank may have started to feel a little jealous of others
Tumblr media
According to google, “most Pisceans are very good at earning a stable living,” and “they are usually very effective in any career that needs collaboration with others or inventiveness.” It’s been stated before that Frank works in at least three different restaurants, and a restaurant type environment would require collaboration with others to keep everything running smoothly. He’d be earning good money from those three restaurant jobs, and another Pisces trait is wanting to help people, so working in a restaurant would be a way for him to do that
Strengths of Pisces would include being selfless and thoughtful, passionate and creative, gratitude and self-sacrifice, tolerance and a keen understanding, and being kind and sympathetic. Weaknesses of Pisces include being influenced by their surroundings, being careless, rash, and ill-disciplined, having an inability to confront reality due to an absence of confidence, being insecure, sentimentalism, indecisiveness, and a lack of foresight. These are all from a chart I found, and although I don’t think we’ve seen too many of these weaknesses in Frank yet, we’ve definitely seen a lot of the strengths
We have no idea where Frank was before he first showed up at the daycare. Fazbear apparently had him shipped in to replace Moon, but with how easily he got into Moon’s computer, it wouldn’t be too farfetched to assume that he could’ve possibly also hopped onto a different device and sent a fake email, posing as Fazbears to keep people from asking too many questions about why he’s there
Like Sqarlet has said, we’ve noticed a pattern of astral signs following the usual astrological descriptions, but it’s not necessarily a rule, nor is it to a T. It’s very possible that Frank mostly follows the general tendencies of Pisces, but still has individual quirks and such that are different. It could be a case where perfectionism or a preference for rule-following/organization is just a lil personal thing of his, unrelated to astrology
Another thing suggested by Sqarlet is that the Pisces dealio might explain why Frank’s general choice of appearance is generally uncanny/unsettling. Astral bodies don’t necessarily have a spectacular grasp on how to Aesthetic effectively, at least from an earthling’s perspective
Eclipse once used star power to get into Puppet’s dreamscape, when Puppet was on his way to get Lunar. If star power is what makes dreamscape stuff possible, then Frank would need access to it in order to do the same (see: all the dream stuff he did with Monty and him showing up in Stitchwraith’s dreamscape)
Whenever Frank appears, whoever he appears around is usually experiencing a negative emotion of some sort. Some instances of this can be seen when he showed up and tried to talk to Monty after Monty had a fight with their dad and was frustrated, when Earth and Sun were worrying about Lunar when Lunar lost his voice, when Sun got turned into a dragon and was panicking, and when Earth had a nightmare and was freaking out over it
Foxy’s implied that Frank was probably trying his best to be helpful, during all the dates that he unintentionally ruined. Which… means that although Frank is trying his best to be helpful, he might not understand what “normal” behavior looks like, then he messes up, and then he gets upset when people misunderstand him and his intentions, or when whatever he’s doing ends up backfiring in some way. Pisces’ loves to help others and can’t stand being misunderstood, so this lines up beautifully
During a podcast episode, Frank breathed heavier when Castor and Pollux were mentioned, implying that he may know them. Given how he even attempted to speak again, he likely had some kind of thoughts or feelings toward them, too
The astral bodies are typically aware of almost everything that happens. This might explain how Frank (if he’s Pisces) knew that Foxy would be alone on Christmas. It was only Foxy, Freddy, and Francine present when the Stitchwraith took FC, so unless Frank was spying on everyone or has taken to watching the channels like Ruin apparently does, he shouldn’t know what happened
If the Foxy’s Intervention episode is anything to go by, no one ever knows where Frank is, and yet, he still knows where he’s needed and goes there to help
With the way that Pisces deals with illusions just as much as dreams and the subconscious, it’s possible that the Frank that the Stitchwaith saw was just an illusion. This could explain why Frank wasn’t hit by Stitchwraith’s weird chest laser thing (unless he quickly teleported out of the way), and why we never saw him go up to the Stithwraith and try pushing him around or anything, despite how Frank was acting toward him. We’ve seen Frank physically interact with people before, so we know he can, but if he was an illusion, that wouldn’t be possible
Something else to consider that I haven't shared with the theory thread yet (that I can remember) is that when Pisces feels hurt or betrayed in any way, they can be incredibly vengeful. Their vengeance, according to a search I ran, could be intense enough to break trust and damage relationships, if they're not careful. In killing ruined Monty, Bloodmoon may have unknowingly made Frank feel so deeply hurt that Frank has now decided that he needs to get revenge on him. He kept saying things during their encounter that made it feel like he may be entertaining the idea of getting rid of one of the twins, which... follows a very "you took away someone who meant the world to me, let's see what happens when I do it to you" sort of logic

Something very interesting about pure vanilla " truthless recluse " look
Starting at where his soul-jam was supposed to be there's a similar symbol !! And it look's like a clock's pointer, or even a key
If the design it's supposed to be a key, then it has a ton of potential when it comes to symbolism. Because key's unlock things be it they doors, chests and even books
Heck in beast raid, the boss final phase, it's a big sphere with a key-shaped hole
Does this mean that pure vanilla it's gonna unlock/discover something that shadown milk doesnt want him to know ? I dont really know, but I cant wait to find out
This update it's awesome >;D
