anyway meet our stellar cast

Akane Tatsuki (茜 樹) - [he/him] The leader/"conductor" of TWT. Standard idol heartthrob, and absolute fuckboy. Imagine Sakasaki Natsume, except he's actually an awful person and he's steal your wallet if given the chance. As much as I'm mean to him, he's very charismatic and fiercely loyal, caring deeply about the people he's close to, and would sacrifice anything if it means the safety of his family.

Seong Ari (성 아리) - [she/her] The saxophone player, as well as the background producer, of TWT. Girlboss. Takes on as much work as possible, overworking herself very often. Paired with Tatsuki, they often resort to tactics that are... less than savoury to get their way, with plans provided by her. Can often resort to "silly" means to get her way, but very no-nonsense otherwise. Ingests enough caffeine daily to kill a horse.

Iwasaki Kaito (岩﨑 快斗) - [he/him] Trombonist of TWT. Incredibly physically strong, often using his physical strength as the backbone of his image, but crumbles when approached with any situation that cannot be overcome with brute force. Very emotionally vulnerable, uses this to connect on a deeper level with people he knows, far deeper than those around him. Filled with love. Don't hurt him.

Taguchi Chihiro (田口 千尋) - [she/her] Flutist of TWT. Rather timid, but not dreadfully anxious. Is always seeking some form of identity, knowing very little about herself and wanting to experiment to see what fits her. Tends to enjoy the simple pleasures in life, choosing to move at a slower pace than her peers. Although she doesn't think highly of herself, she's more than happy to uplift those around her.

Furukawa Shiori (古川 汐里) - [she/they] Trumpeter of TWT. Claiming to be the "hero of all", they want to make sure everyone is playing by the rules. Unfortunately, this does not often mean "established law", and is closer to "rules she made up herself". Chaotic good. Butts heads with anyone who tries to do anything "wrong" in their eyes, making enemies fast. No fucking chill. Zero.

i have kichida siblings brainrot for all the wrong reasons but that's not important. i got mad at something and now i need to make actual good sibling stories

so we all know how yuito hates noburu. this is common knowledge. so i imagine one day yuito stumbles across some kind of toned-down horror media from a friend's recommendation, and he figures he might as well give it a try. what's the worst that could happen?

well, he actually ends up really loving said thing! he gets really invested in it, learning everything about it, even getting some merch to tote around at school! he gets a new interest he can share with his friend, and everything is right with the world :]

...unfortunately for him, it does also happen to be a horror franchise. which means, of course, his older brother will probably know all about it. his older brother. the one who constantly calls him a scaredy-cat, drags him to haunted houses, teases him, picks on him, etc. and the franchise has been around for quite some time, probably around when noburu was about his age. so what better way to go about this newfound interest than to keep it a secret?

well, noburu finds out. obviously. he catches a keychain yuito forgot to take off, or whatever happens. but instead of pointing it out, he smiles to himself lost in nostalgia he'd forgotten about. knowing that yuito must be pretty damn embarrassed to not tell him about it, the horror connoisseur, he tries to slowly work it into conversation. talking about how the first entries felt to experience in real time, telling yuito that he'd "probably be really into it if he ever decided to give it a chance", playing a little dumb, making yuito feel like a master secret keeper. and to "encourage" him to "try it", noburu gives yuito every copy of every franchise entry he owns, knowing he personally won't get any use out of them anymore and they'll be much better loves in his brother's hands.

eventually, yuito comes to noburu himself to say that he really loves it, and actually he's loved it all this time, and was too nervous to mention anything. noburu chuckles, and says "I know. I just didn't want you to start thinking it was lame 'cause I liked it, too."
