Child of Aphrodite Hinata Shoyo

Hinata never meant to use charmspeak on others. He was lucky, gifted by his mother Aphrodite to use the power.

A power that he couldn’t control.

His words bloomed in other’s minds, as irresistible as the sweetest ambrosia. There was not a single person who didn’t look at him as if he handled Apollo's sun chariot himself.

It started out innocent enough. Hinata knew he annoyed Kageyama to no end. The child of Nike let him know this multiple times.

When Hinata pleaded to play volleyball after a long day, he let himself believe that Kageyama only accepted because of their own love for volleyball.

Until they accepted again, and again, and again— though obviously exhausted that's when he started to notice how their pupils dilated ever so slightly and their nose scrunched whenever he asked.

He started to pick out the small intricacies of the blush high on their cheekbones and how they hung off every single word and movement Hinata gave.

Kageyama wasn’t the only one.

Bokuto would drop everything he was doing to show Hinata move

(“Bokuto-san! That thing you did yesterday that goes like floooosh and wabam was so cool!!” “I'm pretty great aren’t I? come here i’ll teach you!”) (Bokuto was in the middle of lunch)

If Hinata complained about being hungry, Atsumu would harass his brother until Hinata had a full stomach.

Whenever he was bored Kenma would just appear, letting him play games on his phone. It was never-ending, even younger campers presented him with gifts and notes in hope of being noticed.

Who could blame them? When Hinata smiled, glimmering teeth and rosy cheeks, all anyone could do was stare. They were absolutely defenseless to the chime of his laughter.

“Suga-san, you have charmspeak too right?”

“Yep! Just made Asahi give me twenty bucks earlier, why?”

“How do I turn it off?”

Suga tilted his head, confused at the wide eyes Hinata was sending him.

“Hinata, you’ve only used it once since you were claimed. Did you want me to train you in how to use it?”

Hinata froze, even more confused than before. “No, I have been using it! Everyone keeps doing what I ask for and being so nice. I don't want to force them.” he frowned.

Suga fully turned to him, his eyes softening with fondness. “Hinata...”

He pulled the younger into a hug, carding his fingers gently through fluffy hair. “I think you’re mistaken, you haven’t gotten close to that level of charmspeak yet,” he looked Hinata in the eyes.

“Everyone just loves you Hinata.”

“Very, very much.”
