Holy Simoly’s Seychelles Bathroom and Ocean Grove Shower Converted by Saudade Sims

This is my favorite bathroom of all time so I had to convert it. All the meshes and textures belong to the fabulous Holy Simoly. I didn’t add any of my own recolors to this set, all the textures are the originals.

I did have to make a few changes to the first mirror. The original had a vase with flowers and a soap dish and a stack of soap bars wrapped with string. These were created using an alpha layer and I couldn’t get a base game mirror to work with the alpha layer so I removed the decorations instead. Then I had the bright idea to add slots to the mirrors but whenever I tried that S4S would crash (I’m sure it’s something I was doing wrong!). So in the end I just left them plain and used bb.moveobjects on and the 9 and 0 keys to place objects on them. 

Actually, the easiest way I found to place objects was to turn on MOO, place a wall shelf at the correct height using *alt* (place it so it’s next to the area on which you want place an object, not directly on it, but so that it’s level with the ledge you want to use) put your object on the wall shelf and then pick it up and *voila* the object is the exact height you need.

I also removed the decorations from the towel shelf and made an empty one so that you can put whatever objects you want on it. As of right now though, it doesn’t have any slots (I’ll update it when S4S makes it easier to add and move slots) and you have to use the same cheats you used on the mirror to put things on it. Sorry :(

In addition, I converted the Ocean Grove shower because even though it wasn’t actually a part of this set, I always used them together.

The in-game design tool works with everything except the mirrors.

I’ll be doing the rest of the Ocean Grove and Driftwood sets soon.

thank you hun this means a lot 💖💖!!! it’s incredibly frustrating for me that some pieces have some issues, and trust me if i had enough time to fix them all i would but the fact of the matter i if i allow myself to constantly obsess over it i start to get stressed out. that being said i AM working on fixing some pieces currently despite what that anon may believe haha 😅💖

I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING

    i’ve seen several cas challenges floating around lately, and this one here is inspired by @solitasims​‘s “ts4 song based cas challenge” in particular! i loved the idea of making a sim based on a song, but i wanted to do it a bit differently - plus it’s a good way to find new music you might not come across on your own!!

the rules are simple, though you’re free to add your own if you want more of a challenge:

    ➢ make sure your inbox is open so your followers can send you a song!         whether it’s one you know or not, give it a listen and get a feel for it.     ➢ make a sim ( or two ) inspired by the song! the lyrics or the general vibe,         whatever you feel when listening!     ➢ make a post and be sure to tag it #newjamscaschallenge - and you         can even tag me if you’d like, that way i can check it out <3     ➢ MOST IMPORTANTLY: remember to just have fun!! that’s what we’re         all here for anyways, so just take your time and enjoy yourself.

Being rude about WCIFs

So I just got a really nasty ask from an anon calling me ‘lazy and entitled’ because I won’t immediately answer their WCIFs. Calling me rude and all of that for not crediting all the creators of all the cc that I have used in my previews because they wanted this one freaking freckle. This is not the first time someone’s been aggressively spamming my inbox with WCIFs requests, calling me names and basically demanding it immediately.

First of all, I have stated previously that I do not have time to be on tumblr 24/7 at the discretion of these anons to answer WCIFs. I am a full time student and I am pumping out cc daily by both creating new stuff and polishing wips from my 2018 and 2019 folders (how does that make me lazy I will never know). I have had my WCIFs open and if you scroll down enough, you can see that I wait around for some of those requests to gather, then take a few hours to go through my 6.7k files of cc and hundreds of models saved in my library to find this one freckle/eyeshadow/top/younameit you asked for.

I was doing this because I wanted to share what I used so people could recreate the looks they have seen, I was doing this because I wanted to help. Am I obligated to do this? No. Do I feel like some people point a gun to my head and angrily request cc? Yes. 

And second of all I want to touch on the whole ‘entitlement’ thingy, since I found it really weird. I have a lot of cc that I downloaded in the past (2016-2017), files that are now deleted and basically gone off the face of internet, some ‘lucky’ people (like me, oh no) still have these hairs/clothes or whatever, whenever I use it in any of my previews my inbox fills up. I spent days or I think even a week or two to find this one hair that was deleted long time ago, frustrated that I cannot answer the WCIF request, then I answer with the fact that it was deleted and it’s not longer up for download, people still REQUEST IT and some have asked me to ‘just upload my mod folder and it’s all there’. No….

How am I entitled? Are these some rare ass collectibles worth $100,000 or what? Like come on, it’s a a file, posted for free, that modifies your gameplay by 0.001%, you don’t need it, your game won’t break if you don’t have it and you won’t die because your sims can’t wear it. 

For the anon that requested that very specific freckle. I did find the cc piece, but it’s actually very different than it seems, you see, it’s a set, it comes with multiple little freckles and moles and birthmarks. Since I know that won’t quench your thirst, I will make this educational. Do you know how long it takes for someone to create a single birthmark cc? About an hour, 15 minutes if you know exactly what you’re doing. This is a tattoo tutorial, but it also works for moles. Just go in s4s –> create 3D mesh in CAS category –> Part Type: Skin Detail Mole and go on with your day. TUTORIAL

In conclusion, my WCIFs are closed and my anon is turned off, have a great day :) (I will still answer the ones that I currently have that aren’t passive aggressive)
