Finished another project, this was the Easy Crochet Star Blanket Crochet Pom Pom Border - Rhythmic Points by Bag-O-Day Crochet on YouTube, I loved how this one turned out, if you like it take a look at the pattern on YouTube.

I have created a small but mighty invertebrate army! 💪🪲💪

most of these are still waiting to be sealed but once that's done I might start listing them on my website :)

We saw some good birds (and lizards tuatara) on our trip to Wellington last week! The Zealandia sanctuary is awesome.

The one I was most excited to see was the shining bronze cuckoo (green on the back, white and brown striped on the front in the photos above). As a child I learned about cuckoos laying their eggs in other birds' nests and leaving another species to raise them - but this is the first time I actually saw it in action! That baby cuckoo was sitting there going beep beep beep while a poor tiny grey warbler dashed around trying to find enough food for her giant son.

The Wyrm's Garden

I recently bought an art book on Caspar David Friedrich, whose emotional work stuck with me since I first saw it in a museum years ago. Over the course of a few weeks, I read about his life and at the same time did studies/interpretations of many pieces. It was a really enjoyable and fulfilling project; here's a good lot of them together :)

I was happy to see many people enjoyed Friedrich's work+my interpretations while posting them individually. It took way too long, but I FINALLY set up a print shop for some of these + some other pieces for those who expressed interest. Thank you so much!

Finally done with the continuous granny square blanket, pattern tutorial on YouTube by Play Hooky with Me, the border wasn't part of the pattern just something I decided to add last minute, it curled a bit but I'll live with it. It's a great pattern though I suggest giving it a look.
