Me too, Sugarcube, me too. 🤤 I didn’t add the reader getting caught cuz halfway through writing this I had the horrible idea? to make it, like a chose your yandere, like one is Shota finding his darling and fucking them into submission and the other is another Pro was yandere for the same darling and they keep hounding the cops, then darling escapes but only long enough for the other Pro to kidnap them. I might just make the Shota one but I like the idea and have zero self-control. If anyone has a suggestion for the other Pro feel free to send them in.

If there's one thing you'd learned about your captor, it's that he liked sleep. He liked sleep a lot. Despite this fact escaping was proving to be more difficult than you'd first thought.

What you found strange was that no matter how many times you tried to escape he never got violent or angry. Quite the opposite, he would calmly pull you into his arms and out of the room while covering you in kisses despite all the struggling. If you managed to break anything it was fixed or replaced. It was starting to freak you out, he should be mad, furious even that you keep trying to leave but the only emotion that could be seen on his face was sadness.

No matter how much it weirded you out there was an upside to his composure and you were determined to make the most of it. It had taken a few weeks but you had finally picked all the locks on the cellar door. Shota had been out of the house all day and would be back any minute. He couldn't know about the locks, if he found out all your hard work would be wasted. With that in mind, you stood and hid the makeshift lock pick behind a loose stone.

'Just a few more hours, then I'm free.'

The front door swung open as you made it to the couch. You watched Shota kick the door shut and make his way to the kitchen. The sound of groceries being put away filled the house before everything went silent. It stayed that way far too long and you knew instantly that Shota had had a bad day. ‘This could be a problem,’ instead of dwelling on that thought, you made your way into the kitchen. Shota was leaning against the sink with his back to you, fists balled up so tight his knuckles were a sickly white. Leaning against the doorframe you called out to him, when he didn’t respond you pushed away from the frame and walked up behind him. “Wh-” Suddenly he turned and pulled you against his chest, burying his face in your neck. 

Bringing your hands up to rub small circles into his back you ask, “What happened?” Shota just stood there as his mind processed the fact that his kitten was comforting him instead of trying to get out of his embrace. His grip tightens but he remains silent. “Was it another Villain attack?” His continued silence has you briefly wondering if one of his students got kidnaped again or worse. You hoped not. 

“There’s been a break in your case.”

It had been six hours since Shota had let slip that the outside world hadn’t forgotten about you. Six torturous hours of waiting and your wait was almost over. Slipping out of bed was a little more difficult than you had expected but eventually Shota’s hold around your waist loosened enough to get up. You made your way to the cellar, careful to stay quiet. Long hours alone had given you a good grasp of the boards that creaked and how to open any door without it singing.

Descending the steps of the cellar always made you uneasy but now the feeling was worse, you ignored it as you pulled a loose stone out of the wall. The backpack hidden there would get you a good week or two before it needed to be refilled. Not that you would need it that long. Bag in place and stone back in the wall you crept your way to the cellar door. You had no idea how loud this one would be but that wasn’t going to stop you.

Taking a deep breath to settle your nerves you decide to try and open the door quietly. ‘I can always run if it makes too much noise,’ you reason. Slowly you turn the knob and pull the door open with a few squeaks but nothing too loud. Stepping outside feels like a breath of fresh air, you want to stop and take it in. You don’t. Instead, you close the door and walk parallel to the driveway, hidden just inside the tree line. Once you make it to a road and find a town you’ll let it sink in, till then, it’s going to be a long night. You send up a prayer to any god that might be listening, begging that Shota stays asleep till morning. It wasn’t much but any head start is better than none.

Ryo open the front to the smell of cocoa. He took a deep breath as the door closed behind him. Stepping into the living room, he was greeted by the sight of his mate curled up on the couch fast asleep. He couldn’t help the smile that spread across his face.

He scooped them onto his arms and settled into the couch. Laying their head on his shoulder, he breathed a sigh of relief and felt the tension drain from his muscles. “Long day?” He nuzzled them, “You could say that.” A whine left him when they sat up but he didn’t stop them. “Want some hot chocolate? I think it’s still warm.” Ryo chuckled, “I would love some.”

They kissed his nose before heading into the kitchen. As he watched them leave he felt content. For years he had felt alone but now he had a mate, someone who loved him just as much as he loved them. “Ryo?” He jumped, “Are you okay?” Nodding he took the drink. “Are you sure?” He pulled them into his lap, “Just thinking about work.” They smiled and rested their head against his chest. “No more thinking about work,” they said sternly. “Yes, Boss!”

Laughter filled the room. Ryo smiled down at his mate, soft moments like this were the best, he thought pulling them closer. He wished they could last forever. As they nuzzled into his chest  with a content smile, just for a moment Ryo let himself believe it would last forever.

Keigo would be totally fine with a darling that pokes fun at his relationship with Enji.
