Stupid scenario, cringe Ethan x Reader bullshit I pulled from my ass. It's not a normal one shot bc I can't write dialogue, so... Here, ig
∆∆∆∆
It's cold in the apartment, the rain falls heavily against the small apartment and the atmosphere is grey. It's the feeling you get when you recall your childhood memories, but of sorrowful nostalgia rather than whimsical colours. Everything just feels so... blurry. Maybe it's not, but your soul feels so hazy, and you're lost in a mute calm.
He sits there, alone, head in his arms, and for a moment you believe he's resting. But you know better.
You can't feel it, you don't know how you can't, but your body moves on its own. You don't need to say anything, as you finally approach him. He doesn't move, doesn't seem to acknowledge your presence, like his mind is lost somewhere else. Your hands reach out, feeling the soft, worn fabric of his jacket. He does not move, but the slight hitch in his breath tells you he is aware, if only slightly.
You lean down to press a light kiss to his shoulder, murmuring soft reassurances to him. Your lips pressed against the back of his neck as you rub light circles over his forearm with your thumb. It is a small act, but appreciated.
The rain falls heavily, skies darken just a bit more but you don't care. It's a welcome sort of white noise, as your arms wrap around him. He doesn't say much, but when he does, his voice is gentle, broken. It seems his mind still replays memories of that time. No, not memories... Cruel reminders of what once was.
You doubt your words would be of much help, after all, no amount of kind words would truly help a man who had suffered a pair far greater than any other. Your heart aches for him, the man you love, and the knowledge of his suffering would continue to haunt you to your very grave.
You gently pull him from his seat and he lets you, your hand finding his and he grasps it immediately, tight as though you would vanish if he let go. This was not unusual. You guide him to the couch and sink into it, pulling him into your lap. He's far bigger than you, although only a few inches taller, his height easily overwhelms you. But you don't mind this, and no matter how many times he begs you not to, you pull him into your hold, your warm, loving embrace.
At one point, you settle yourself to lay down, pulling him with you. He protests, but his voice has long since grown weary. He is tired, you know this. Tired of remembering the same nightmares, tired of yearning for a life that had left him so horrifically... Tired of living.
So, he does not move to push away, not that he ever wanted to. The cold that seeps i. His complaints have since silenced, and he breathes a deep, shuttering sigh of relief. Your arm around his waist, keeping him tethered to this new reality, your other hand combing so carefully through his hair, careful not to harm him. You are so patient with him, so loving.
He misses his old life. His old family. His son. You may not be able to fill the gap in his heart... But you'll be there for him. You made the cold bearable.
The rain has never been more peaceful.

WDL x RWBY AU!!
(Part three, final!!)
Had fun with this one! Fuck it, classifying it as an AU now. I love this lil goober sm<3
(3/3, Bradley Larsen)
Bradley Larsen's weapon is called Helios Arc. It is a versatile spear and discus combination designed to complement his high-speed, momentum-based combat style.
And last but certainly not least, my favorite, Bradley Larsen! Optimistic, fun-loving (ginger) hunter-in-training, it's no wonder he's the favorite out of his team. The heart of his team despite not being team leader, he's a cheerful, athletic, and fiercely determined fighter who thrives on movement and action. As an enthusiastic sportsman, he brings raw energy, confidence, and team spirit to every fight. Unlike his older sister Skye(Who's cold and calculative,) Bradley is warm, competitive, and sometimes a bit reckless—but always with good intentions.
He loves his sister. He does, he truly does. Even if she is a bit... Evil-ish, unsentimental apathetic highly narcissistic keeps using him for her weapon experiments, once lead a pack of Beowolves to him when they were kids for an experiment... Wait where was he going with this? Oh, right! Despite all that, she was still his family(After all, she was the reason he's still alive and well today...)
-
Primary Form: Spear
A lightweight, flexible spear with a Dust-infused shaft.
Designed for precise thrusts, powerful sweeps, and rapid attacks in mid-range combat.
The shaft can flex slightly without breaking, allowing for dynamic movements.
Secondary Form: Dust-Infused Discus
The spearhead detaches and transforms into a Dust-powered discus.
Bradley can throw the discus with incredible force and accuracy, and it returns to him like a boomerang.
The discus can carry elemental Dust effects, such as fire, ice, or lightning, making it useful for different combat scenarios.
Utility & Combat Style
Momentum-Based Combat: Since Bradley’s Semblance (Momentum Surge) increases his speed and strength as he moves, Helios Arc allows him to stay mobile.
Discus for Ranged Attacks: He can soften enemies up from a distance before closing in with his spear.
Unpredictability: The combination of melee and ranged capabilities makes his fighting style dynamic and hard to counter.
∆
Bradley Larsen’s Semblance is called Momentum Surge. It enhances his speed and strength as long as he keeps moving.
How It Works:
The longer Bradley stays in motion, the faster and stronger he becomes.
His physical attacks gain more impact over time, allowing him to overwhelm opponents with increasing force.
Works best when he’s constantly dashing, jumping, or attacking.
Drawbacks & Limitations:
Stopping or getting immobilized resets the buildup, meaning he has to start over.
If he’s knocked down, trapped, or forced to stop, he loses all accumulated speed and power.
Requires constant movement, which can be exhausting in prolonged fights.
Combat Style with Momentum Surge:
Hit-and-Run: He keeps moving, never staying in one place for too long.
Building Power: He starts fights at normal strength, but if left unchecked, he ramps up to terrifying levels.
Synergy with Helios Arc: His weapon’s discus form lets him attack while moving, keeping his Semblance active.

Technically WDL x RWBY AU??
(Part II, Continuation,)
So ik it's ONLY three characters, but at that point do I call it an AU or a timeline???
Difficult decisions, really :/
Anyways!! Yeah I actually suck at writing backstories for these fuckers bc I keep writing them out of character, I feel bad for not writing more about her in this AU but I'M TRYINGGG😭😭😭
(2/3, Skye Larsen,)
Next one up is Skye Larsen! Cold, calculative, self-serving, morally grey/sort leaning on the evil side, it's a wonder she hasn't been expelled from Beacon Academy. But she has her good moments! Well, not morally good, but... You get what I mean.
She treats her brother well enough, considering she helped treat his epilepsy early on. Despite being unsentimental, she does care for Bradley... In her own complex way.
Skye Larsen's weapon is called Kronos Array, a multi-tool sniper rifle and melee apparatus designed to match her precise and tactical combat style.
-
Primary Form: Sniper Rifle
A long-range precision rifle built for deadly accuracy.
Uses high-impact Dust rounds, which can be modified for different effects (piercing, explosive, freezing, etc.).
Features advanced targeting optics that sync with her HUD for calculated shots.
Secondary Form: Scythe-like Blade
The rifle reconfigures into a sleek, curved scythe-like melee weapon.
The blade is infused with Dust, allowing for energy-based slashes.
While Skye prefers ranged combat, she can fight up close when necessary.
Tertiary Function: Deployable Turret
Parts of the rifle detach and transform into a small automated turret.
The turret can provide covering fire or lock down an area while Skye repositions.
Can be controlled remotely for strategic placement.
Utility & Combat Style
Precision & Calculation: Skye uses Kronos Array strategically, taking advantage of her Semblance (Stasis Field) to freeze targets and line up perfect shots.
Adaptability: The combination of sniper, scythe, and turret makes her a threat at any range.
Control of the Battlefield: By using traps, precision shots, and calculated movement, she forces enemies into no-win scenarios.
∆
Her Semblance is called Stasis Field. It allows her to temporarily freeze objects or enemies in place, suspending them in time.
How It Works:
Skye can target a specific object or enemy and put them into a stasis-like state for a few seconds.
The affected target is completely frozen in place, unable to move or react.
Works on both living and non-living targets but has a limited duration.
Drawbacks & Limitations:
Precise Targeting Required: She must accurately aim at her target for the effect to work.
Limited Duration: The stasis only lasts for a few seconds, and stronger opponents can resist or break free faster.
Size Matters: Larger or stronger targets require more Aura to freeze, making it difficult to use on massive Grimm or experienced Huntsmen.
Combat Style with Stasis Field:
Perfect Sniper Kills: She freezes enemies in place, ensuring flawless headshots with Kronos Array(Ouch :'/)
Trapping Opponents: She locks enemies in stasis, setting them up for attacks from her teammates.
Tactical Control: She can stop projectiles, disrupt enemy movement, or delay threats while planning her next move.

Technically WDL x RWBY AU??
Not really, but just the three characters... Who should NOT be co-existing together, but tbh I don't fw canon bc imma do my own thing<3
(1/3, Bagley,)
Alright, we start off with Bagley! In this AU, he's an Android made in Atlas for the Military, cutting edge technology that(alongside Penny,) had somehow been given a part of Skye's aura, essentially giving him a soul. But unlike Penny, he was to be used purely for combat purposes and tactical aid.
How'd he get sent to Beacon Academy? God knows, but he was assigned to Skye, quite possibly bc he one day got bored, and blackmailed the military for the fun of it. Now he's attending school with his emotionally constipated co-creator, the optimistic dumbass he was created to look like, and an erratic dumbass(my sona<3)
Of course, Bagley knew Skye well, as she is his co-creator. But before Beacon, he and Bradley had never once interacted, as the other wanted nothing to do with Atlas Military(bit too hardcore for his taste,) and was not privy to his sister's work. In fact, the first time the two met personally was during the airship flight to their first day at the academy...
Yep, bit of a shock when he saw an android that suspiciously looked a lot like him lol--
Bagley is an android similar to Penny, but with a more sleek and professional design. Due to being sent off to Beacon, his once staggering height was shortened(although not by much,) and stands confidently at a 6'10", just a ft taller than Bradley. You can tell automatically that the android was created in the other's likeness, but other than physical appearance, they, in fact, have nothing else in common!
-
His weapon is called Axiom, a modular staff and drone system that complements his analytical combat style.
Primary Form: Collapsible Quarterstaff
A sleek, lightweight staff designed for precise strikes and fluid combat. Infused with Dust channels, allowing him to enhance attacks with elemental effects (fire, ice, lightning, etc.). This weapon can also be used defensively to parry and block attacks.
Secondary Form: Floating Drone Blades
The staff splits into multiple hovering blade-like drones. These drones can be controlled remotely, allowing Bagley to attack from multiple angles simultaneously. Each drone can be infused with different Dust effects, adding elemental versatility.
Ranged Capabilities: Dust Blasts
In staff form, Axiom can fire concentrated Dust blasts like a gun.
In drone form, the drones can shoot energy bolts, creating a long-range offensive option.
Utility & Combat Style
Multi-Tasking Fighter: Bagley can fight up close with the staff while the drones attack from a distance.
Strategic Positioning: The drones allow him to control the battlefield, setting traps or defending teammates.
Adaptability: He can switch between melee, ranged, and drone combat depending on the situation.
∆
Bagley’s Semblance is called Echo Circuit. It allows him to record and temporarily mimic the techniques of others, adapting to their fighting styles mid-battle.
How It Works:
Bagley can analyze and replicate an opponent’s physical combat techniques, movements, and weapon skills.
Once recorded, he can use the copied fighting style for a limited time, adapting it to his own strengths.
He cannot copy Semblances that rely on emotions, unique Aura interactions, or personal modifications.
Drawbacks & Limitations:
Limited Duration: He can only use copied techniques for a short period before needing to reanalyze or refresh them.
Requires Observation: He must see and study a technique before he can mimic it.
Physical Limitations: Even if he copies a strong fighter’s moves, his own physical limits still apply—he can't suddenly match their raw strength or speed.
Combat Style with Echo Circuit:
Tactical Adaptation: He adjusts his fighting style on the fly, countering opponents with their own techniques.
Unpredictability: Since he can switch styles mid-fight, enemies struggle to anticipate his next move.
Synergy with Axiom: By mimicking weapon techniques, he can maximize his modular staff-and-drone system in creative ways.

Oh yeah, no, SEVERE trigger warning here bc originally I was gonna make their backstories
Also, it's implied that Oliver is Leitha's biological son, but never outright mentioned.
Leitha and Mallory are distant cousins, but both have no idea about that information. They've met a few times, but not shown in any of the chapters. It is implied that they interact with each other off screen though!
Also, there were key elements I was going to add to their character that would have added a layer of intensity, but to not make others feel uncomfortable, I will not add them✨
Mal was just a sad girl with a shitty childhood, but her past is a mystery. All anyone ever knows is that she'll sleep with any man, does not shy away from harm or death, and takes advantage of other people (whether it be s3xu4lly or not, but it's not HER fault, it was just the way she was raised. She gets better, even in that one ending, it's enough.)
Bro I'm so fucking cringe, I have a Heavy Rain OC
Ok, so I have two Heavy Rain OCs(was going for one, but it sounded too cringe so I've split them) The first one named Leitha Hollow, a young junior detective with a severe memory loss and hyperactive disorder. She's good at her job, but the only reason why is because she developed an obsession towards writing things down constantly so as to not forget. She holds a worn laptop bag filled to the brim with notebooks, each filled with little details about everything — what happened around her, people's names and info, case notes, grocery lists, anything she deemed important she wrote down. Her work space, apartment, even her bag is covered in sticky notes!
Ok, so she's a HR character, and I believe for her chapters if you were to play her, you would be put into the middle or end of her chapter events, and the entire time you have to piece things together in order to 'remember' what happened from here to earlier on. When you play her, her screen is often fogged at the boarders of her screen, everything is disoriented, walls are open hallways, ceilings are clear skies, and the sunny skies feel like rain, but you can't tell because you're playing from HER pov! There are note you have to find and you get NO hints what so ever on where to find them, and sometimes at random moments you have to play random quick time events so she doesn't end up wandering away or walk into/off of something. Also, she moves on her own, so you have to constantly redirect her. You constantly hear her thoughts, muffled voices in her heads, memories that desire to be remembered and heard but you can't hear them.
Oh!! Also, there's hints in the game that she had a kid, but they were taken away from her because she forgot about them in a car as a baby. But luckily, the law felt pity rather than hate, so she wasn't shamed as much for what she did. She has no idea about this, because she swiftly forgot, but whenever she sees a family or a little child, she'll always feel this gut wrenching feeling, like she was an awful woman, but she'll have no clue why. Children's laughter haunt her and she has no clue why.
She's one of the characters who genuinely helps Ethan find his son, having no other reason than to just help a father who lost the only family member he had left. But playing her character is HELL, her dialogue options/choices are confusing because they're always jumbled up, you're sure to end up accidentally killing her, and her quick time events are poorly timed. Once more, you're thrown into the MIDDLE/END of her chapter events, so you have no clue what happened and must backtrack.
Also, her co-workers treat her like a child because they know she has mental problems, Blake doesn't take her seriously/belittles her sometimes, and Norman just babies her. But she doesn't act on this because...
Also, failing her QuickTime events will cause you to:
-Miss critical information
-Alter the game events in the worst way possible
-Accidentally offend someone
-Fall off a building
-Trip into a sewer
-Spill hot coffee on herself
-Not dodge a co-worker, spilling hot coffee on her
-Accidentally kill Norman
-Getting run over by a car
-Get thrown off a crane
-Get shot
-Accidentally kill Ethan
-Get stabbed
-Have a mental breakdown :3
The meaning of the name 'Leitha' comes from Greek origins, meaning 'oblivion,' and 'forgetfulness,' directly implying her chronic amnesia.
The last name 'Hollow,' comes with a multitude of meanings: -"Having a hole or empty space inside." (There are scenes where she'll sometimes stare at things with an empty look. In fact, her whole appearance gives her an 'empty feeling,')
-"Without real significance or value." (Her attitude towards herself is careless and detrimental, showing she holds no value over herself.)
-"A hole or depression in something." (She's shown to have depression but is not implied throughout the game, either she forgets she is, or is willingly keeping the thought of having such a disease to herself.)

AND THE SECOND ONE
Trigger warning, this character is a bit... Depressive. And mental.
My second character is Mallory Deirdre, a single mother just trying to keep her beloved son safe, all while trying to navigate her rough surroundings. She's an erratic, demented and, quite frankly, obsessive woman with a thing for self-destruction. She's a reporter, and Madison's co-worker/friend, but beyond that, Mal has no social standing, and does not bother.
Her son, who she's named Oliver, is a quiet and sickly young boy, causing her to become over protective, if not, a little manipulative. But she has good reason! There are killers, rapists and terrorists out there, and she HAS to keep him safe. Has to keep him away from it all, so they never hurt her baby. HER baby, not there's. This has caused Oliver to slightly fear her, and halfway through the game, CPS will be called on her by her neighbors and take him away, which'll leave her spiraling like crazy.
Playing her chapters are compelling, at first. You start off as a loving and attentive mom who gets her son ready for school, wake him up, make him breakfast and his school lunch, wish him a lovely day, and walk him to the bus. She spends half the chapter doing household chores, and it's shown she has no partner. It would be implied that she adopted him through family ties.
Oddly enough, she has QuickTime events for certain scenes such as drawing(but failing doesn't lead to horrible art,) and making a meal for herself(the knives scene makes the screen go greyer, but the QuickTime events for that is relatively easy to do and moves slowly, giving you time to successfully complete it.)
Of course, being a reporter, that means she'll eventually learn about the Origami Killer, and the more she finds out and learns about him, the more strange and darker her chapters get. Like I said, halfway through the game, one of the chapters(doesn't have to be her's,) she's gotten so crazed and obsessive over the safety of her son that he's eventually taken from her, and THAT'S when everything on her end spirals out of control. Halfway through the game is when her chapters get dark and disturbing REAL quick.
She's torn between helping get the story of the Origami Killer out there, helping her friend, helping Ethan(who she'd unfortunately grown attached and obsessed with over the course of 3 chapters,) and trying to kill herself. Constantly.
It's actually funny really, because failing her QuickTime events will cause her to:
-Throw herself into oncoming traffic
-Throw herself into oncoming trains
-Sl!cing/st4bbing/sh00ting herself
-C0mmit extreme self-harm/mutilation
-Bash her head against walls, which will cause her POV to become even more disoriented
-Having someone else off her
-Experience a horrible scene
-Throw herself out of a window
-Hang herself
-Miss crucial information
-Get Madison/Ethan killed
-Get thrown off a crane
-Su121de pact
-Kill herself in endings Ethan commits suicide
The worst part?? Her QuickTime events then are HELL to try and complete, because not only are they FASTER, but the buttons move and blur so you have a hard time figuring it out. And at the VERY END of one chapter, there's a QT event that you CANNOT AFFORD TO MISS!!! Because if you do, it doesn't seem like it did anything because she doesn't move from her bed, and the camera zooms out from her apartment room. The next day, though, playing as a different character, you know that "You gently open the door" meme?? Yep, she HUNG HERSELF!!!
Her chapters make the screen darker than normal, red outlines, sometimes the screen is almost blurry, but remember when I said she has an obsession towards Ethan?? Yep, her POV actually fixes itself when he's on screen, and things get less spirally when interacting with him. But you know the scenes with him and Madison??
You, the player, must choose the outcome: Have him be with a woman who would be good for him(Madison,) or have him be with a self-destructive and obsessive disaster who may or may not make his life hell depending on the ending??
Having her live isn't necessarily important to the plot of the story, but it yields more interesting endings, such as bad endings: Slowly killing herself any other way, ruining Madison's life, accidentally killing her own son, and killing herself next to Ethan if Shaun is dead.
There isn't a good ending where she ends up with Ethan, as her behavior and personality makes her unable to be loved. Oddly enough, she has the option to be his 'partner' for a short while, before he eventually ends up dead or with Madison, which causes her to mentally spiral.
HOWEVER!!!! There is an ending where she'll get better, if you do ALL her QT events successfully, she'll better herself in the end. She'll quit her job and become a barista(her dream job,) find time for herself, and eventually(although not at first,) quit SH. Unfortunately, her son is adopted by another couple, but this is good for her; because she wasn't fit to be a mother, and quite possibly never will be. It's a bittersweet ending, but quite fitting for her character.
The name "Mallory" is of French origin, and means "unlucky," "unfortunate," or "ill-fated." This directly gestures to how Mallory is an unlucky character no matter what you do, she has such an unfortunate life, and in the end, her life from then on/her endings are all ill-fated. Even with her ONE good ending, it is a bittersweet pill to swallow.
The last name "Deirdre" is of Irish and Gaelic origin, that can mean "broken-hearted," "sorrowful," "wanderer," or possibly "daughter." She's a broken character at heart who tried to mend it with lust(Ethan,)/Motherly love(Oliver,) but ultimately fails at both. A sad, lonely thing who'll forever wander this life alone.

The meaning of the name 'Leitha' comes from Greek origins, meaning 'oblivion,' and 'forgetfulness,' directly implying her chronic amnesia.
Leitha's endings end based on how many QuickTime events you do successfully, little to no will show endings of her dying, or have her mind fully broken. It should be noted that if she didn't/couldn't help Ethan, she'll commit su12id3.
She has two good endings, if she keeps herself grounded by keeping in constant communication with the other playable characters, and by completing all QT events. One ending: She's promoted to detective and is in a lavender/platonic relationship with Norman, who helps her remember things and keeps her more grounded. Suddenly, everything surrounding her comes doesn't feel so...spirally, and for the first time in a while, she feels...content and free.
Another ending: She quit her job and willingly committed herself into a mental care program, wanting to fix herself and hopefully move past her trauma. And, if you choose to keep in a relationship with Ethan, he'll be there too!

Everytime I think of Heavy Rain my heart aches, Ethan's life literally went downhill from there and it wasn't even his fault. I can't even play the game or watch playthroughs and get through his chapters without crying because HOLY FUCK my poor baby
God I have a weak heart I love him so much I just want his happiness😭😭🙏🏼
