What are some free activities to do with kids?
Board games:
One successful way to do this is to play a combination of board and slot machines, where the winner takes up the next round. Some games can need a little handicap to give all participants a fair chance of winning, but keeping it enjoyable for everyone is a huge part of the equation in the kid’s play area
Decorare Rocks:
The next time you're on a hike, let your kids pick up rocks. At home, the stones can be painted with ink, stickers, markers, glitter, and other art supplies. Show the finished goods around the home, use them as plastic toys, or send them to your relatives!
Use an outdoor toy rotation strategy:
Kids get a lot more excited to be in the kids play area with things they haven't seen or can't reach in a while. Divide the outdoor toys into three buckets, and get one large bucket of items at a time. This may contain balloons, hoops, kites, jump ropes, skateboards, athletic equipment, and air squirters.
Make homemade playdoh:
Play-doh made from scratch is simple, and you can create an infinite assortment of colours with natural food colouring. Print the outside tablecloth on the concrete, and placed on the rusty scissors, a roller rod, and some cookie cutters.

Benefits of outdoor play area  for kids
There are two basic reasons that the outdoor play area is important to young children in our early childhood services and classrooms. Firstly, many of the developmental tasks that kids must perform in exploration, risk-taking, fine motor growth and the processing of large quantities of fundamental information may be most successfully achieved by physical play. Second, our society is moving physical play away from small children through heavy TV and tablet use, unhealthy communities, busy and exhausted parents, parental transparency, removing school recesses, and performance expectations that drive more and more developmentally unsuitable learners into our early childhood systems, thereby moving time away from the play.
The outdoor play area is a fun way to learn:
Going outdoors is a great sensory experience for infants and toddlers. There's too much for them to see, discover and understand. The evolving nature of the outdoors makes it an extremely thrilling and sensory environment to play. This is critical when infants and young children learn and encounter through all their senses.
 Developing motor skills:
Children need the ability to use their whole body to improve their gross motor skills. The outdoor play area can make your babies crawl or toddle. When they get older, they're going to have room to sprint and climb around. They will also improve their fine motor abilities when they pick up natural treasures such as leaves and pine cones.
