Haven’t posted on tumblr in a min, and the infinitys been shit for the past month or so cuz i been on vacay. This months theme has been a morph of cloud rap and pluggnb. I think i wanna go more in the direction of pluggnb and experiment with that production style because I feel like theres room for trying new things there. This track was a lil lightweight just followed a basic tut on how to make new cloud rap type beats and the lyrics are inspired by my exhaustion.

Stole a loop from ‘J. Harbourg - empathy’ and chopped and slowed it down a lil. Then added some basic drums on it. Ive also realized that Clams Casino has very glorious sounding drums that give a sense of grandeur so I kept that in mind when making the pattern. The vocals are just some more layered rough draft bullshit lol.

Sampled ‘Divorce Court - Indonesia’ and pitched it down a little, it really worked out for the main synth/pads in the beat. With some more focus on eq-ing and the drums i used, I feel like i did a good job at emulating the clams casino style a lil more.

so ive come to the realization that making a good clams casino beat really all depends on the sample. I found that searching for some modern indie pop music works best. This song samples ‘okayceci - weekend’. Lyrics are kinda mid and are just about me chasing my ambitions.

wanted something more romantic and grand... sampled ‘SISTER SLEDGE  - Next Time You'll Know’. chopped it then slowed it and stretched it sorry... lyrics are about someone i wanna be with

Made this beat with someone i was lucki to see today/ Saw yung lean before making this /we found this guitar sample, chopped it, stretched it and just looped it with drums, then just added some vocals to it

Made the beat quickly before watching Black Panther 2. The flow is pretty  nice. Sampled ‘Kate Bush-Egypt’.

Another simple clams inspired track. I like how the sample turned out, I chopped it, flipped it, pitched it, then stretched it. It gives a nice spacy vibe to it. The original track is ‘Sound Investment-Our First Child’.

idk just went through the motions and put this together. Sampled ‘glxy - submerge’ and  chopped it up. The flow is pretty hard and the drums are minimal and good.

The drum pattern was somewhat inspired by Yeat - Got Rich. I think this was decent. The melody was a simple synth pulsing and with gross beat and some delay. And a lil lead. SHMACKED ALL DAY I BEEN SHMACKED... recording process was also kinda yeat inspireed, with the background melody being recorded first.
