Hello everyone☺. Thank you for visiting. Today, I will talk about the music analysis of the music mentioned in the title.

I hope this will be helpful for those who play the piano as well.

Now, about the work of title number WN. Since the music score I will be using for this explanation must be in the public domain since it will be used in a public place, I have decided to use the music score from IMSLP. Therefore, in this article, I will not use score the National Edition (Ekier Edition), which uses WN numbers. but, Since the sheet music I often use is the Ekier version, I will call use name the Ekier version.

Regarding Chopin's waltzes, the first waltz that is considered to have been completed is his posthumous waltz As-Dur WN28 written in 1827. The works completed in the early stages are arranged in chronological order as follows.

As-Dur of WN28, 1827 E-Dur in WN18, Des-Dur in WN20, h-moll in WN19, 1829 Es-Dur KK.IVa/14 1829-1830 e-moll op.posch（WN29）.1830 Es-Dur in op.18, a-moll in op.34-2, 1831....

Op.3's music is for cello and piano.

This was also the period when Chopin was composing works for string instruments and piano.

This waltz seems to be a waltz with a wider range of sounds than the traditional Schubert waltz.

When this piece was composed, Chopin was composing for string instruments. Chopin's waltzes seem to have a freer range than the traditional waltzes of Schubert and others. The introduction to this piece is written several octaves higher than the starting note and ends. At this point, I thought I could already see Chopin's particular attention to range.

What you should pay attention to here is the right-hand part at the beginning. There is a command symbol written in octaves at the end. You can see that the viola's range from the lowest note to the highest note is used to its fullest before that rest. （ I guess）

Also, I think the left-hand part marked with a red pen is written in the double bass range.

I can feel Chopin's melancholy in this waltz. The occasional repetition of major and minor keys can be said to be a feature that also appears in the waltz of WN18 E-Dur, an early waltz.

さて、作品番号ＷＮについて。 今から説明に用いる楽譜は、公共の場で用いることからパブリックドメインを使用しないといけないため、IMSLPの楽譜を利用させていただくことにしました。そのため、今回はWNの番号を用いるナショナル・エディション（エキエル版）を使用しないのですが、 普段よく使う楽譜がエキエル版なので、エキエル版の名前で呼ぶことにします。

ショパンのワルツについて、最初の成立と考えられているワルツは遺作のワルツAs-DurWN28であり、1827年の成立とされています。初期に成立した作品を年代順に並べると、次のようになります。

WN28のAs-Dur、1827年 WN18のE-Dur、WN20のDes-Dur、WN19のh-moll、1829年 Es-Dur KK.IVa/14 1829年-1830年 e-moll op.posch.1830年 op.18のEs-Dur、op.34-2のa-moll、1831年....

それではショパンは1829年から1830年にかけてどんな曲を作曲していたのでしょうか。

ショパンが弦楽器やピアノのための作品を作曲していた時期でもあります。

この曲が作曲されたとき、ショパンは弦楽器のために作曲していました。 ショパンのワルツは、シューベルトなどの伝統的なワルツに比べて、より自由な音域を持っているように思えます。 この曲の序奏は、開始音より数オクターブ高く書かれて終わります。 この時点で、ショパンの音域に対するこだわりがすでに見えてきたように思いました。

ここで初めに注目すべきは、冒頭部分の右手部分です。 最後にオクターブで書かれている指示記号がありますよね。 その休符の前まで、ちょうどヴィオラの最低音から最高音あたりの音域をいっぱいに使っているのでは、と推測します。

また、赤ペンでマークした左手の部分はコントラバスの音域で書かれていると考えました。

このワルツにはショパンの哀愁を感じます。 長調と短調が時折繰り返されるのは、初期のワルツである WN18 E-Dur のワルツにも見られる特徴と言えます。
