Oh I love the squishy fellow he is perfection!

Quick side tangent on the topic of squish mellows I guess my family caught on for my interest of orcas (since your orca eclipse au cough cough) and I got this guy for Christmas and he has also been on my bed since :)

Snow monkey Sun definitely caught me off guard with being so relational/friendly with y/n considering he is a literal spiritual being, his actions towards y/n and the nature that surrounds the mountain melts my heart and I absolutely feel that essence that he is otherworldly yet still very connected with nature and interacting with living things.

I love that he is emotional about what’s happening to his mountain (as he should be) but he is also aware of himself and even returns an apology to y/n.

(Pocketing the crumbs about suns not so casual physical interactions with y/n. This feels so tender and again I am melting!!!)

Oh I love your decision about the wooden beads I immediately picked up on that detail and my mind filled in their subtle clacking with suns gestures and movements!

Like what inspired you to come up with this au? How did you go about developing monkey Sun’s personality (which I am absolutely not normal about btw) Literally any little detail about your au or anything that currently only exists in your head about it.

In love with this spiritual and literal journey these characters are going on!

Ah, I'm so happy you enjoy it! Snow Monkey!Sun was inspired by this squishmallow my nieces gave me as a Christmas gift! (It's been on my bed since then!)

It slowly spiraled into a thought about the DCA as a snow monkey, and then hot springs and snowy mountains. Sun felt like the best fit for such an AU with his sun rays and personality!

For Sun, he immediately felt otherworldly but also terribly, tenderly human to me. I wanted to capture his essence of being above the world but still living within it. He is usually so cheerful, mindful, and affectionate but ever since the timber company started disturbing and disrespecting his realm, he's pulled taut by the harm being done. He is well aware of his powers and how much ruin he could cause, hence why he doesn't directly intervene. Though he is still prideful and temperamental, the reader touches a soft spot with him.

He is very open in how he regards the reader, and it is not causal which the reader mistakes it for at times. He is deliberate and conscious of holding or touching the reader and why he does it so often. Everything is sacred and hallowed to him; he carries that mindset with how he cares for the reader.

I was originally going to have him wear ribbons around his wrists but when I decided that the reader was going to carry around a wooden comb, I thought it would be visually interesting/related to have Sun wear large red wooden beads instead!

That's all I can think of off the top of my head but if you have any more questions, please shoot them my way! <3

A very short blurb with no context

Just 2am brain wanting to write a Sun interaction that takes place outside

You’re waiting for the crosswalk sign to give you permission to cross when you spot Sun waving to you on the far side of the road

Once the line of cars yield and the walking stick figure permits, you make your way to the oddly unaccompanied animatronic

“Oh’

your kids aren’t with you today?”

His expression turns puzzled for a second then after catching your point he gently facepalms the side of his head knocking the confusion out, tossing it away with his hand.

Your eyes follow the imaginary discarded thought then return back to Sun

“No, no um we thought it would be a better call to take off today due to the traffic from the big event downtown.

Less stress of drop off and pick up for the parents yaknow…”

Sun turns to look off in the distance, you imagine he’s collecting his thoughts for a new topic

You break the silence

“Are you heading in this direction?”

Sun’s attention snaps back to you

“Ah, actually I was on my way to find you”

“Oh?”

You and Sun move off to the side so you’re not blocking passersby’s

“Well, we know your always in the area on weekdays aaaand it’s not very often we’re free due to the daycares schedule so I was wondering if maybe I could accompany you today!

But I don’t want to impose of course if you are currently engaged with something.”

Sun brings his hands together on his lap and waits for your answer

You take a second to process this unexpected surprise, Sun doesn’t seem to mind your interpreted consideration.

“I’m not engaged.”

You and Sun both blink during the awkward pause

“I uh didn’t really have anything specific I needed to get done today. I just figured i should leave my place and go for a walk anyway”

Silence, you still haven’t technically given him an answer

“Yes. Yes I would love for you to join me today”

Sun immediately brightens and squeezes his hands together bringing them up to his chest

“Wonderful! And since you mentioned that you had nothing in mind for the day I have SO many ideas on what we could do!!!”

The sun is literally shining and the air is filled with plans of possible excursions and entertaining activities that could be shared with fun company and…

Is it just you or are some of these sounding more like a date then a hangout

I believe that the Daycare Attendant is actually pretty light weighted as a safety code. I mean, if they were to fall on some kid (maybe because they ran out of power all of the sudden or for whatever reason), and they weighted tons upon tons, then this kid will die, but if they weighted somewhat (WAY) lighter than that then the kid will only get a few bruises at best and a broken bone at worst.

And also because I want to pick them up :P
