I finished reading Axie Oh’s The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea a couple weeks ago, and the main characters had such Zutara vibes that I had to draw a crossover picture. I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a YA fantasy book!

(Their clothes are me trying to recreate what the characters are wearing on the book cover, I apologize for any inaccuracies.)

who do you think is the most jealous in zutara? zuko or katara?

Hello anon!

This is a hard question! I’d like to say they’d both be equally jealous, but if I had to choose one I think it would be Zuko. I say Zuko because due to his father abusing him, he does have some major insecurities and a low self esteem that did not suddenly disappear when Zuko confronted his father. So I think that when Zutara got together, that Zuko might feel like he does not deserve Katara and therefore might be scared that he will do something to push her away.

Therefore, I feel like he would be the most jealous if he saw another guy acting flirty towards Katara. That’s not to say that he wouldn’t trust Katara. That’s not it. He would completely trust her and believe that she loves him but Zuko’s own insecurities that stem from his father abusing him would cause him to be the more jealous one. Like, I think his thought process would be him thinking that Katara might like another guy more than him, because Zuko’s self esteem is still low.

Over time however, Zuko would overcome his insecurities and his self esteem would get better. However, this is just my own headcanon, other interpretations are valid.
