Been dealing with a bit of depression lately so I've been quiet, sorry

I have one or two drafts currently. I hope to be getting to those today or tomorrow.

Seastone prism aside, haki did serve as an efficient alternative to make those strikes hurt. Sabo uncomfortably shifts, feeling the bandages rub against gashes && scrapes. " They're getting stronger. I feel like I was able to overpower them without a fruit just fine... which worries me for any future plans. "  Sabo does his best to avoid scrunching his nose as Koala places the bandage over his nose. Thankfully not broken, as blood dries && prevents more from flowing out.  " Glad I made it out though. Would certainly throw a wrench into things if I got caught.

Koala is quiet as she listens to him speak. One cheek puffed up in a pout of concentration as she smooths out the the edges of the bandage without pressing too hard. She's glad he isn't worse but if they're enemies are getting stronger his usual solo missions might become more of a liability.

"Just... please, be careful." She grabbed a clean cloth out of the first aid kit and soaked it in a bit of water. Wringing it out before holding his face still with one hand. She dabbed away the worst of the blood from his face, searching for more possible injuries. "Your safety is important. We still have enough time to fall back and regroup when things grow dicey. We shouldn't waste such gifts with foolhardiness."

She sets aside the rag for now. Swiping aside his bangs to get a better look at his face. Once it seems she's done all she can, she eases his bangs down to cover his scarred eye. "While you were gone. One of my contacts in the area was able to get me word on what may be a secret Marine lab in the area."

Light on medical supplies certainly put a ding into their mission. Not entirely out of commission yet, but perhaps taking an extra day to recouperate may be for the best. Sliding over the kit with the remaining supplies, Sabo notes the cuts && bruises sustained on his own body. Stinging pain only lingered for so long, to which he'll clean them out at a later point in time. ( Surely he's had worse injuries, he thinks. With even less supplies. Definitely less knowledge on how to properly secure his injuries back then too. )  " Seems like you got the worst of it with that nasty cut on you, " Sabo comments, leaning over to watch Koala's handiwork. " Perhaps we can take you back to base first before this mission can be considered completed. It doesn't look... great. Can you still put weight on that leg ? "

Koala's smile wavers as she grits her teeth. Old habits die hard when under stress. But it is easier to show the pain around him. She takes a steadying breath but can't help a his of pain. The gash is deeper than she had realized. There's a searing pain biting into her nerves as she patches the wound up quickly before the bleeding resumes.

Her breath lets out shakily after she ties the knot of the over bandage. Shoulders slumping as her hands press over the wound carefully. Sabo's words pulling her from the fog of pain back to him. A frown settling on her face. "It'll have to do. We can't afford to return home now. This place is in danger. What will happen to these people if we leave early."

Wincing, she forced herself to her feet. Her leg trembling under her weight but holding her for now. Still, she reaches out and grabs his arm to steady herself. "it'll have to be fine. I've walked with worse."

She'd been forced to do a lot more than just walk with a lot worse injuries in the past. She could do this.

Momoiro island was a spot he visited regularly by now, wherever if was to place flowers at his fallen comrade’s grave or to keep a peaceful relationship due Cross Guild. The artist was always the one asked to go…. and every time, he would listen to the same thing from the Queen of that place: Listen, since you’re here (....) No one was to blame, his powers were useful after all; fixing buildings, making new ones. He had to indulge even if some requests made him doubt his good faith. “ Young lady! Pleeeeeaaaase! Do not sneak up behind others like that! Uah! ” Mr 3 stopped his work as the sudden voice slightly spooked him out, turning immediately. For his luck, was just one of Sabo’s little friends.“ Oh my feeble heart. ” Mr 3 pushes his glasses in, now speaking in a calmer manner.  “ Indeed, ga ne. I ate the Doru doru no mi, which makes me a Wax Man as they say. Although, sculpting things is solely on my own merit. ”  As he explained, in the palm of his hands something started to take form in the shape of a star, and when it was done. He hold it the little object between fingers as he displayed it. “—but by all means, is there anything I shall help you with? I DO HOPE isn’t about painting nails again. I’m an artist not a manicurist..”

"Wax, you say? How interesting." Koala leaned in and began to inspect the work he was currently constructing. The quality of wax was impressive. This man was obviously a master of his craft and quite familiar with the powers of his devil fruit. She can appreciate a handy person. Especially one that was more than willing to hel the Revolution from time to time.

"Oh no, nothing like that." She straightened up and pressed a hand to her mouth. Her ever present smile only barely just hidden by her fingers. Watching, cataloguing, the man as they spoke. "I simply like to meet all of Iva's guests. It's only safe for a lady to know the company she is keeping, hmm?"

She offered out a hand to him in greeting. "I know we've seen one another in passing but it's rude not to give a formal introduction. My name's Koala."

She motioned to one of the building nearby that looked to be freshly repair. "Is all this your handy work?"

"Oh and what is it that you were so kind to make me Koala?" Tipping his top hat down slightly to his the small shade of red that came to his face when she had got into his lap. He normally wasn't one that let others get under his skin easy but his and Koala's relationship was different in many ways, only wrapping an arm around her waist so that she didn't fall off while they talked. "Do I need to close my eyes for this one or are you just going to give it to me?"

"You've been a good boy this week. I think you can have your eyes open as a treat."

She watches him expertly as she shifts her hips playfully to get comfortable on his long legs. Well aware of the little movements he makes to try and hide from overwhelming feelings. That tilt of his hat brim makes her smile. She brings the basket into her lap and takes off the towel covering it. The cupcake hidden inside is quite large. It larger than the size of her hand and is topped with a candied cherry.

she brought her hand to her mouth, gripping the fingertips of her glove between her teeth. She pulled it off to expose her bare hand. A rare sight. Her slender fingers were heavily scarred from a childhood of bone-breaking hard work. One finger even a little crooked from a long-forgotten break.

Fluttering her eyelashes, she picked the cherry up off of the cupcake by the stem. She lifted it to his lips. "Don't you want a treat, Sabo?"

Koala suffers from upper back pain and shoulder aches. Some days she suffers greatly from fatigue even when she has done minimal activity that day.

Though the condition is chronic, she doesn't have the pain every day. It's residual pain from the injuries and punishments her masters inflected upon her as a child.

The best thing she has found to deal with it is a warm back massage. Some days, when it's a bit all too much, she'll lay down in bed with her shirt off and snuggled chest-down into the blankets while getting a back massage. It's often relaxing enough that she's drift off and rest for a few hours, feeling much better.

Though, this doesn't happen often as the only two she trusts to rub her back are Sabo or Hack. They're both very busy and she hates bothering them for something so trivial.

Koala blinks at him before laughing softly behind her hand. She can't help an incredulous look at this information. "Oh, my. He really has you quite fooled. It's always quite the struggle to keep him from taking all the baked goods I make before I can share them with others."

She gave him a wink. "You're quite lucky I was able to save even that one for you."

It's a bit of an ominous comment, to put it lightly. With a smile so sweet && innocent looking as Koala can be, he knows that she had every capability of taking down the biggest of opponents without breaking a sweat. Hearing the news of how the rebellion in yet another kingdom ended up with a violent act against a king far too deep in their own corruption && greed was unsurprising. An attempted stabbing, barely evaded for the sake that a life in imprisonment could be far more insufferable than their life ending. "Probably not something you should say in the open like that, " Sabo laughs. " You're not wrong though. Let's just keep that between us for now. "

Koala brought a hand up to cover her mouth, giving a small giggle. Expressive eyes glancing up at him. Sharing a brief moment of cruel yet justified mirth with her partner. She held no love for the monarchy and knew he felt the same. So what was the harm in a violent fantasy now and then.

A soft hum on her lips as she stepped around to the side of him. Petite form hiding easily behind his larger frame. Innocently slipping her arm into his to give off the disarming illusion that the two Revolutionaries were simply a couple out on an evening walk. Each clueless soul that moved past them left none the wiser of their true intentions.

"I suppose you're right." She batted her eyelashes at him. Perpetual smile rested on her face in a facade of serenity. "Most fantasies are simply that, hmm? Shall we head home?"

Koala made sure to keep her body from stiffening as she walked. He eyes slid to the side to roam her gaze over the man beside her. She kept her casual gait as she walked. she turned her head to him and smiled sweetly. though her expression was sicky sweet, there was a serious undercurrent. She gives a little giggle and slips her arm into his.

A simple move to sell the act but also an easy means to deal with him if this is a trap. She follows his lead until they're safely away from the area.
