After a crash like that, we need to be so thankful for all F1's safety advancements, especially since Imola 1994. Let's thank Jean Todt for introducing the halo, which has undoubtedly helped save Romain's life. Let's thank Dr Ian Roberts who helped get Grosjean out of the wreckage. Let's thank Jackie Stewart, who was the first pioneer of safety as we know it. Let's thank Sid Watkins for all the work he did. Let's thank the Grand Prix Drivers Association for all the work they've done ensuring driver safety. Let's thank Niki Lauda for pioneering the use of fire-proof overalls.
