our energy masterlist (kylo ren x fem!reader series)
Tumblr media
Summary: General Kylo Ren of the First Order came to your country in efforts to retrieve the Energy Core, a ball of energy that powers your world and supplies your people with the resources they need to survive. The insufferable Ren and you had come to an agreement, so that he would not steal the core away from you and your people. Every so often, Ren would come and take vails of energy that you supplied him with. You never looked forward to these meetings with the General, as you could absolutely not stand him at all. You hated each other with your very beings. However, as so many wise people have said, the line between love and hate is a fine one, and easily crossed at that.
(a/n: first off i’m horrible at summaries okay. also each chapter will come with it’s own warnings. I have written a couple chapters and will try to update them as soon as possible. I hope you enjoy, please leave feedback or ideas on what you want to happen next. This series probably won’t be very long as this is my first series on here and I’m starting off pretty basic. Thanks for reading!)

Generals Ren and Hux returned in 3 days, just as promised. Again, you were sitting in your office, anxiety coursing through you all day waiting for the Generals to return.
When they did finally walk into the office, they were followed by 3 Stormtroopers. Upon seeing the blasters in their hands, you immediately jumped up from your seat.
“If you even looked at any of my people in the wrong way-” You began, already seething within the first few seconds of being in their presence.
“Oh, calm yourself down, girl. We didn’t touch any of your precious followers.” Ren snapped, slamming the doors of your office closed behind his little entourage with a flick of his hand.
“Listen here, General. I’m doing you a favor right now, the least you could do is show a little respect, or gratitude.” (two things you knew that Kylo Ren could not possibly possess).
“No, you listen,” He began, stalking towards your desk and leaning down over it, his gloved hands splayed out on the wood, “You are not doing me a favor. You are simply doing what you are told so that I don’t slaughter you and your people.”
You balled your fists, wanting nothing more than to grab one of those blasters and-
No. You had to keep your anger for the man under control. Most of the time, you were a very patient, agreeable person. You were not known for having a temper. Acting in any other way is not how any leader should. However, you couldn’t help yourself when it came to the entitled, power-tripped man standing in front of you. Kylo Ren made you feel as if your whole body was full of static electricity, and you hated it. You hated him.
“Let’s just get the energy core vials taken care of so that you can leave as soon as possible.” You breathed out as you attempted to cool yourself down.
“Let’s.” Hux responded, still standing stiffly by the door, while Ren pushed himself off of your desk and turned, facing Hux and the Stormtroopers.
“Sorry, but I cannot allow any weapons down into the vault.” You said, walking past the group and opening the doors to your office, “You can either have your bodyguards stay up here, or have them leave their blasters.”
The Stormtroopers looked to Hux, who told them to leave their weapons with your guards. The group followed you as you began the walk to the vault.
“The energy core is very sensitive. We keep it in a secure vault, guarded and protected against any who want to take it.” You said pointedly, throwing a look back at the men behind you. Surrounding the first door of the vault was a large number of security details, who immediately parted for you, “The vault itself was constructed hundreds of years ago, and has been gradually built up for further protection.” Your goal was to make sure that Ren and Hux knew that even if they tried anything, the vault was too secure for them to take the energy core by force.
“Yes, thank you for the enthralling history lesson. Get us the vials. I’m not here to waste time.” Ren ordered, his voice cold and unforgiving.
It took everything in you to not respond to the General, instead focusing on disarming the many locks and passwords on the multiple vault doors. You didn’t worry about the men behind you seeing what you entered in the codes, as you planned to change all of the passwords the second they left.
Once you got into the energy core room, Ren swiftly walked forward, bumping you out of the way with his arm. Shocked, you pulled yourself back, giving him an incredulous look that he did not see, as his attention was focused on the glowing core in the center of the room. You motioned for your core specialists to begin extraction of the vials, walking over to one of them to share more information about the amounts.
As you passed Ren on your walk across the room, you heard him mummer a quiet, “Fascinating.”
A word of wonder like that should’ve sounded out of place coming from a man like him, but it did not. You stopped short, shocked by his words, before shaking your head as if to disperse your thoughts and continued your walk across the room.
The extraction of the vials did not take too long, and soon you were back up in your office, watching as your guards handed back the Stormtrooper’s blasters. Hux and Ren were speaking quietly to each other, talking about some sinister First Order plan, from what you could hear. Once the blasters were returned, the group turned and began to walk out.
“I’m assuming you will be coming back for more?” You called out, hoping that their answer would be no but knowing that that would not be the case.
“Yes.” Ren replied sharply, not even bothering to turn around to give you his response, just continuing to walk forwards until he was out of sight.
“Maker.” You murmured as soon as they were gone, collapsing into the comfy chair in your office.
You turned to one of your advisors, looking at her pointedly before remarking tiredly, “I need a drink.”
almost a year later and I’ve got the second chapter up. Fun fact I’ve had this chapter and the next one written since I wrote chapter one but then forgot to upload them so here you go a present just for you. Thanks for reading! Drop a hi or something in the comments if you feel like it bc that would be cool of you :)

our energy chapter 1 (kylo ren x fem!reader series)

You certainly did not expect to start off your day by looking out the window of your chambers to find First Order ships approaching your lovely planet’s landing dock. However, you immediately sprung into action, knowing exactly what they were here for.
You got ready quickly, slipping into your most diplomatic looking attire. A knock came at your door, and one of the maids peaked her head in. Without even having to say a word, you both nodded at each other, and she followed behind you as you hurriedly walked up to your office.
A guard entered the second you sat down in your chair, looking at you apprehensively.
“Ma’am, Generals of the First Order are here to speak with you.” He said, voice ringing out in the silent room. One of your advisors turned to you, waiting for you to reply.
“I suppose the only thing we can do is send them in.” You say, bringing your fingers to your temple, preparing yourself for whatever is to come. The guard walked out, returning just moments later with two men trailing behind him.
“Madame President,” He announced, holding his arm out and stepping to the side, “Generals Hux and Ren of the First Order.”
The title of General of the First Order was intimidating enough as it was, but the men that were standing in front of you put the word intimidating to shame. However, you held your ground against their icy stares (although General Ren was wearing a mask, you could still feel his cold eyes on you), squaring back your shoulders as you prepared to address them.
You met the eyes of General Hux, who gave you a curt nod.
“Please, take a seat.” You said, motioning towards the two chairs in front of your desk. Hux took the chair to the left, but Ren remained standing, the figure of darkness with his face hiding behind his mask and his black robes brushing the floor. You only spared the man a glance, deciding that General Hux was your best bet at communication.
“May I ask the nature of this visit?” You question, folding your hands on your desk. Hux cleared his throat before speaking for the first time.
“Well you see, Madame President, we require the um-” He is cut off by Ren, who obviously feels that he is not getting the point across fast enough.
“We are here to obtain the item that you call the ‘energy core’.” He explains shortly, his voice coming out robotic through the modulator of his mask.
You immediately clench your jaw, whipping your head towards Ren.
“No.”
“There is no choice here. Either you hand over the energy core or we will take it.” He replied, taking a  threatening step closer towards you.
The guard, still standing at the door, moves his hand towards the blaster in his belt, but, without ever turning his head, Ren flicks his hand and the blaster frings across the room. That small move is enough to get the guard to back down, knowing that there is nothing he can do against a man like Ren.
Slightly frightened, yet also slightly amazed, you sit there, not sure what to do but feeling the anger bubble inside of you. Seeing the infamous Force used for the first time, you tried to contain your wonder by reminding yourself that Ren could snap the neck of any of the people in the room without even moving a muscle. This realization sparks more fury inside of you.
You stand up quickly, your chair flying back. “General Ren, with all due respect, you will not be taking the energy core, and I will not be giving it to you. That core is what powers this whole planet, and I will not be putting my people’s lives in danger for some First Order scheme.” He takes another step towards you, and you round your desk, coming to face him directly, with no borders. You crane your neck up to look at him, staring into the glass of his mask where you assume his eyes to be, “This planet has gone against greater enemies than you in order to protect the core, and we will not hesitate to match and exceed any force you use in order to protect what is ours.”
You both take another step towards each other, your chests almost touching. You can hear his heavy breathing from the modulator, and see his fists clench out of the corner of your eye.
“Your threats mean nothing to me, girl. If you believe you can defend your planet against the Empire, you are greatly mistaken.” Despite the modulator, his voice comes out absolutely feral, and you feel a twinge of fear, not for yourself, but for your people. You want nothing more than to call out the Darth Vader wannabe standing in front of you, but you know better than that, and try your best to contain yourself. You take a step back, your cheeks and ears hot with suppressed anger. Angling your body more towards General Hux, who you believe to be more reasonable than Ren from what you have witnessed, you take a deep breath in an effort to rein yourself in.
“Here is how I see it, Generals. It would be a waste of both of our resources to fight over this matter when we can negotiate a deal.” You walk back around to your chair, sitting down and smoothing out some wrinkles on your clothes, attempting to regain the diplomatic professionalism that you had momentarily lost.
“You want the energy core. I am not going to let you have it. That part is simple.” You continue, trying your best to avoid looking at General Ren, who has remained silent since you sat back down, “The best I can do is offer some energy extractions from the core.”
Hux nods, taking a moment to consider your offer, “We do need a sizable amount of energy.” He says in a slightly warning tone.
“While I cannot allow you to take all of the energy at once, small extractions with periods of time in between to allow the core to recharge is acceptable.”
“It is a deal then.” Ren concurs in a biting tone, turning on his heel and walking away with a swish of his robes. Hux quickly follows behind after telling you that they will be back in 3 days time.
Once they are gone, you let out a breath of relief that you made it out of that meeting alive. You secretly hope that they will send others to collect the extractions, knowing that any more time in proximity with the vile General Ren (and Hux too, of course) will prove increasingly difficult for you to control your excessive anger towards the irritating man.
Thank you for reading! I’ve got the next two chapters ready, and will gradually post them. This series isn’t much, but it’s an idea that I’ve had in my head for awhile that I really wanted to get out. I hope you like it!

possible new kylo x fem!reader series
Working on a new Kylo x fem!Reader series. I don’t know how long it will be or if I will even end up posting it, but I’ve got a good idea of what I want it to be about and I already have the first chapter almost completely written. Hopefully I write more, but I’ll update you on the status of it.
Also I don’t have a title for it yet and I need to come up with one before I post it. I’m really bad with titles, so thats great.
I’m gonna try to write out a short little description in the next couple of days to post so keep your eyes peeled ahahah!
update i came up with a title it’s kinda dumb but it’s whatever

faceless, nameless - the prologue
Tumblr media
gif credit - @kylos
pairing - kylo ren x reader
warnings - canon-typical star wars violence, depictions of death/violence, fighting (verbal + physical), loosely implied physical intimacy (really up for interpretation here), angst, tension, implied mild love triangle, kylo ren betrays you
summary - For four years, Kylo Ren considered you to be many things: his right hand, his confidant, an irreplaceable strategist, a friend and most importantly his equal. It all ended when he left you with a blaster shot to the stomach on a near deserted planet. On the brink of death, a rather dashing Resistance Pilot stumbled upon you, saving your life.
Donning a mask to hide your identity, you’ve grown to become the most fearsome Resistance fighter they have; bewildering the First Order as to how you always seem to ruin their plans and avoid capture. Kylo Ren is a different man from when he left you two years ago, so how will he react when he accidentally finds you alive and well in Poe’s memories?
masterlist // read it on ao3 here

—–
the prologue - the sun
On Starkiller Base, there were plenty of rumors as to why Kylo Ren kept you around. Some said it was because of your extensive training in hundreds of different languages, both spoken and signed. Others were sure it was due to your diplomatic upbringing that came with countless connections and near endless wealth. Or, maybe it was due to your more than adequate ability in battle that served him the most. Even some people thought you were a kept woman, who only existed as a way for Kylo Ren to blow off steam behind closed doors. Your favorite rumor was that you were actually a high-ranking Resistance spy who was tasked with infiltrating the First Order at the highest level and that Kylo Ren had become weak because of you. Had it not made you laugh so much the first time you heard it, Kylo would’ve crushed the windpipe of the lowly officer who created the elaborate lie.
