"Thank you so much!" Esmeray happily exclaimed, taking a seat next to Summer. She hadn't known her for very long but the little bit of time that she had come to get to know the blonde she was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside; and she felt like Summer really was the perfect name for her. Her compliment caused Esme's cheeks to flush a light shade of pink, and tugged at the corner of her lips, her smile brightening. "You sure know how to make a girl blush," she admits, softly laughing, taking her seat next to her friend. "Even when you dress casually, you dress like the nines, you look as beautiful as always." She reaches for her cup of hot chocolate to take a small test sip, before taking a bigger sip, happily enjoying the warmth it instantly filled her with. "I hope I didn't interrupt your day too much," she says, licking a little bit of hot cocoa from her lips. "Are you going to stick around for a little longer? I think the pastries are calling our names next."
Esme was new to town and Summer had taken an immediate liking to her, she was warm and friendly but most of all she was absolutely stunning so when she saw the other coming over she definitely waved her down; "Are you kidding me? You don't even have to ask, take a seat" The definitely didn't make people like her any more; "You look absolutely stunning, I mean it's an ugly sweater but it's like a pretty ugly sweater" not sure if she was making sense but laughing it off anyways; "I couldn't find one in time so I just went with something casual"

"Oh, thank you so much!" Esme excitedly exclaimed, smiling brightly at the compliment. "I love your outfit! It looks so comfy, and cozy, especially your pants. Believe it or not, I think I have a pair of them home." She lightly laughs, carefully setting the hot chocolate down, taking a seat next to the fellow brunette. She looks down at her cup, smiling a little, "you know, I love hot chocolate, I am just so impatient to wait for it to cool down sometimes." Her attention goes back to the other woman, warmly smiling, "I'm Esmeray, it's a pleasure to meet you. Are you enjoying the festivities?"
Alice decided she'd get as comfy as she could. Along with her oversized sweater, she had a pair of fluffy sweatpants she could probably convince someone were Santa pants (they were the right color anyway). With a soft 'oof', she sat down and strategically moved her leg so she could tie her shoe without tumbling off of the picnic table bench. Looking up as she heard a voice, Alice smiled. "Of course!" she smiled. "I love your sweater, actually," she said with a grin.

Esmeray's features lit up more when she recognized her roommate, Aisha, she always loved when she would run into one of them around town. What better spot than a hot chocolate tent? "Aisha, it's always a pleasure," she happily greeted, carefully handing the drink over to her roommate and friend. "Don't tell the others, but you're totally my favorite." Esme softly laughed, not hesitating to reach over and give Aisha her best one-armed hug, being careful not to spill any of her hot chocolate in the process, and then leaned back to admire her Christmas sweater. "I love your sweater! It's so cute and festive." She brought the cup up to her lips to take a sip of the hot chocolate, smiling as it travelled down to her core, warming up her almost instantly. "Have you been here long?" She asked, curiously. "I wasn't intending to stop by the festivities today, but I'm glad I did now. I was actually on a mission to grab some stuff for dinner tonight."
Aisha could admit she hadn't been a fan of the cold that came with the wintertime season, but that didn't stop her from bundling up so she could still enjoy all the activities. She'd been ice-skating for a bit, finding herself a bit tired as she approached the area with heaters, hoping to take a short break and warm up. Looking out on the rink, she people-watched for a bit until she heard the voice of her roommate. Giving her a smile, she motioned to the empty side of the table. "Of course not, I'd love the company," she brightened slightly as she took the offered hot chocolate from her. "And she brings gifts! Just when I thought I couldn't like you more," she teased, then eyed her sweater with a laugh. "But that's oddly adorable--although I went with a different approach myself." she motioned to her sweater she picked up from the thrift store last minute.

"I'm jealous! Thrifting is one of my favorite things to do," Esme admits, eyes widening with excitement, "I've got to know, what goodies did you find?!" She excitedly asked, eagerly following Nari towards the table. Nari wasn't just Esmeray's favorite co-worker, she was one of Esme's favorite people in the world; the connection the two had, it was like the bond two sisters would share. She was always so excited to see what new ideas Nari had in mind, and even more excited to help her bring them to life. Decorating was something they both seemed passionate about, so she could only imagine the cute ideas Nari had in mind for what was in the box she carried. Ribbons, bows, ornaments, it was like Christmas in a box, and she grew more excited with every other thing Nari mentioned finding. "I think that's the perfect idea, and you got a wonderful haul to go with it! I need to go thrift shopping with you, you seem to find the best stuff. You know what?" She runs off for a moment but ends up coming back with a box full of a couple of small wreaths, "I started making some for this very purpose. As always, same wavelength." She places the box on the table next to the one Nari brought in, pulling out the hot glue gun to plug in. "Do you know if we happen to have any of those little fairy lights that run on batteries? I think they could add a nice touch to some of the wreaths, what do you think?"
WHO: Nari & @sunflwrlitskies
WHERE: Lavender Lane
WHEN: December, 2023
"So I did a little bit of thrifting this past week!" Nari exclaimed, excitement evident on her tone as she made her way over to the table where the greenery and rings had been laid out, ready to be turned into beautiful pieces for people to buy when they stopped to grab a Christmas tree or get some garland, something to make their home that much more festive. "I found some ribbons, some bows, a few older ornaments, some vintage, cute pieces. I thought we might be able to use a lot of it in greenery boxes, or even fastened to wreaths, what do you think?" she asked, setting the box down and grinning as she reached inside to pull out a cute little reindeer.

Her smile widened when Elliot accepted her company and the offered hot chocolate. "I was hoping you wouldn't," she replied, chuckling, carefully handing him the hot beverage. "Oh, I'm glad I was able to save you some of the trouble. It wasn't a terrible wait, but it does seem the line has gotten a bit longer now." Before she sits down, Esme takes a moment to admire Elliot's Christmas sweater. "I love it! I think it works perfectly, Elliot! All we need are two Santa hats and we can be Mr. and Mrs. Claus," she chuckled, taking a seat at the table. Her friendship with Elliot started off because of her connection with his sister, her being her roommate, but it's taken a course of its own and grown with every interaction the two have shared. She's very fond of Elliot and she's actually very excited she just ran into him. "You know," she sips her hot chocolate, brown eyes warmly looking at him, "I was going to come hunt you down in one of the upcoming days, so I think the universe just knew I was missing you. How is everything these days? How's work? I hope it's not keeping you too terribly busy."
After a few hours of ice skating and sledding, Elliot was in much need of a break. So he made his way into the hot chocolate tent, taking seat at one of the tables. Debating if he wanted to join the long line to get a hot chocolate or just sit for a while, see if maybe the line would get shorter at some point. Just as he was about to pull his phone out to scroll through social media and post his own, he caught sight of Esme heading his way, grinning as she approached the table he was sitting at. Instantly his eyes went to her lips, furrowing his brows in concentration as he followed along. With a grin he reached for his phone, sliding over to his notes app so he could type back to her. I don't mind at all. He replied with a grin, which only grew even more as she held the hot chocolate out. You're seriously the best, I was debating if I wanted to get in that line or not. Elliot added, looking down to her sweater and letting out a laugh. That's pretty good, I didn't have time to go and find one but figured this one worked well enough.

For: Darrius ( @darpow ) Location: The House/Kitchen
"Okay, hear me out," Esme began, looking at the various ingredients on the kitchen counter, "I couldn't decide between chocolate chip or sugar cookie. I mean the only logical solution is to make both, right? You wouldn't force me to pick between a certain flavor, would you?" She gave him her best pout that lasted like five seconds before she cracked and couldn't help but laugh. By now she was sure Darrius was used to her indecisiveness when it came to picking something to eat, she honestly had such a bad habit of not being able to ever decide what she wanted, it was especially bad when it came to sweets. "On the bright side," she chuckled, "I did decide on what type of wine to start our baking session off with. That's got to be worth a couple of brownie points, right?" She offered him a glass half full of red wine, "I'll even let you pick the movie."

BACKGROUND / BIO
triggering / sensitive content warning: bullying, harry potter
Esmeray was born to two loving parents, both of whom adored their daughter with everything they had. She was the only child of Zehar and Ömer Yildiz. Shortly before her arrival into this world the Yildiz’s moved from Turkey to Merrock, Maine. See even though moving to Merrock had been part of the plan for years, getting pregnant with Esmeray wasn’t. Regardless, her parents were delighted when they found out.
Growing up Esmeray was a happy child at home. She was so infectious with her laughter and smile that her family quickly nicknamed her “Sol,“ and the name was one she fell in love with from a young age. She tried her hardest to live up to it every day.
(bullying tw) Despite the loving household Esmeray had things at school were different for her. For some reason, one Esme couldn’t seem to understand, the kids in her grade always looked at her funny. The girls never wanted to talk to her about anything, no-one made an effort to sit with her at lunch, during gym she would always get picked last, and her locker usually had some sort of goop or slime smeared on it as ‘the prank of the day.’
She found her escape in books and gardening. One day she picked up a copy of ‘Harry Potter’ and the brunette was hooked since. It wasn’t long before she was trying to read as many books as possible, from all different genres. If she wasn’t reading, then she was listening to audiobooks while she gardened.
With a lot of hard work, she ended up graduating top of her class, and her parents were proud. After graduation Esmeray took some time to travel around Europe for a bit. She did some backpacking and, in her adventures, met many lovely, and not so lovely, people along the way. She went to places like Paris, Peru, Japan, China, Egypt, and Prague. She spent some time in Turkey but only when her parents would go visit family there.
Now a days her parents have moved back to Turkey and Esmeray lives on the coast with Darrius Powell, Aisha Thevar & Emeline Newman, loving every minute of it. She has a bearded dragon named Reptar that she absolutely adores and works as a florist at Lavender Lane.

It was as if the aroma of hot chocolate was weaving a quilt out of the brisky air, wrapping the residents of Merrock in a warm blanket. After spending about two hours out skating, she decided to settle into the warmth of the hot chocolate tent. She pulls her phone out to text a friend back, patiently waiting in line for her turn to order. Even though she's not here with anyone, Esme orders two hot chocolates. She turns to look for a table that isn't too packed, spotting one in the further back. "Hello," she warmly greets, coming up to the table she had chosen, "I was wondering if you wouldn't mind me sitting here with you?" She extends one of the hot chocolates, "I just so happened to have two hot chocolates here, you could have one, if you'd like one. If my ugly christmas sweater is too ugly though...I understand."
