Jyushimatsu was having more fun with this. Connor, however, felt equally as responsible as if someone had just placed a human infant in his care. Fortunately for him, Danon Police Station was not lacking in canine enthusiasts. If researching was fruitless, he could always ask for help at work.

“I don’t know. I think I’d like to wait a while, to see what her personality is. It’s only appropriate to assign something that fits her well.” 

❝Okay!❞ He looks at the puppy and he leans over and places a gentle kiss on her head. Jyushimatsu looked up at Connor, smiling ❝Jyushimatsu can help Connor raise the puppy. Ichimatsu-niisan works in a shelter. We can get stuff there for her! I wonder if there’s a vet around here?❞ Couldn’t have the puppy be sick now could we?

Here come that boy, to the rescue. He leans against Osomatsu, hugging and nuzzling him. He even covered his face in smooches too.

It was like he was adopted by this station, which he didn’t mind at all. Jyushimatsu comes here to deliver snacks to the hard working police and also bring a less stressful environment as well. He tends to play with the K9 units who needed a break from time to time. How he ever finds time to do this? No one knows. He just somehow manages to find time for it all.

Balancing the box of sweet treats on his head while holding a special box in his hands, one by one he brings snacks over to each and every workers around here. Whenever there’s left overs, he’d leave it in the front desk for anyone else to take, either for seconds or for those coming in later.

The one in his hands however was specifically made for Connor. He’s the one who likes the eat healthy amongst those who works here. So once his hands were free, he made his way over to Connor. However he got this sudden burst of energy that he had to take it out on the person he’s going to next.

Not in a bad way of course.

Placing the bento box on his head, before the detective could say anything, Jyushimatsu placed his sleeve covered hands on his cheeks and leans over. He placed a gentle kiss on the other’s cheek and pulls away, placing the bento box on the desk afterwards.

He shook his head ❝Jyushimatsu was just really happy to see Connor! So Jyushimatsu wanted to give Connor kisses!❞ He blinks, tilting his head to the side ❝Does Connor want Jyushimatsu to give kisses when you deserve them? Because if yes, then Jyushimatsu will give Connor kisses all the time!❞ He smiles ❝After all, Connor deserves them always!❞

“Aw, Onii-chan loves you too!” Why were his otoutos all so adorable? It just wasn’t fair! Osomatsu lazily draped both arms around Jyushimatsu before ruffling his hair. “You’re my favorite, ya know.”

He leaned against the touch, if he had a tail, it’ll be wagging a lot by now. ❝Onii-chan is Jyushimatsu’s favourite too!❞ Well second favourite. Next to Ichimatsu. No one can replace Ichimatsu in his heart.

Osomatsu laughed before returning the face kisses. “Such a good otouto!” 

Jyushimatsu giggled when he got the kisses in return and he nuzzles the eldest. ❝Jyushimatsu loves onii-chan!❞

“International Kissing Day, huh?? Where are all my kisses then?”

Here come that good boy, giving his onii-chan bunch of kisses on the face.

“Good.”

Jyushimatsu had repeated his words, but who was to say any of it actually sank in. Letting go of his brother’s face, Ichimatsu stuffed his hands back into his pockets, focusing on something else instead.

“Are you going to be with the others?” If Hanako wasn’t there for Jyushimatsu to play with, unless he’d made plans to meet up with someone else as well, he’d have no choice but to stick around with the rest of their siblings. 

❝If Hanako isn’t there and Ichimatsu-niisan wants to be alone with Vasco then Jyushimatsu will go around finding treasure!❞ Or he’ll just go eat lots of food and play games if they have any. Maybe buy things from vendors that he can give to his brothers too.

But for now, he’s sticking with Ichimatsu.

His arm yanked down with a surprising amount of force, the puppy is placed in his care despite his initial objections. If Jyushimatsu was paying enough attention, he might have noticed the minuscule change in Connor’s expression; his eyes widening ever so slightly in wonder at the tiny lifeform resting in the palms of his hands. 

The pat to his head and the other’s choice of words were reminiscent of someone speaking to a child rather than a grown man who was a part of the police force, and if it were coming from anyone but Jyushimatsu, he might have felt the need to intervene. 

“I… If there’s no other choice, I suppose I could…”

He didn’t sound confident (what a rarity) but if it truly was left to him, then he would be determined to do his best. He might have to break that ‘promise’ about not telling anyone, however. 

Jyushimatsu smiled, happy that Connor’s taking care of the puppy. He sways a little before letting out a small howl. The puppy of course howled in response. He snickered, clapping his sleeve covered hands.

❝Are you gonna name her? What’s her name?❞ He bounces on his feet, wondering what her precious name would be.

The animal was small. Tiny and delicate, and definitely not old enough to survive on it’s own. Connor felt an impulse to reach out and touch it’s fur – he really did like dogs – but instead he settled with raising both hands, shaking his head at Jyushimatsu’s offer.

“I don’t think it would be… appropriate for me to take, without having sufficient knowledge of it’s needs.”

… And yet, he couldn’t take his eyes away from the little puppy. What a dilemma. 

Jyushimatsu stared at the other then he takes his arm, pulling it down (with great strength too) and he places the tiny puppy in his hand. He brings the other hand down so he can cradle the puppy.

❝That’s why Connor learns! After all, Connor’s very smart and Jyushimatsu trusts him!❞ He smiles at the other, reaching up and patting him on the head ❝Connor is also a good boy who loves puppies and doggies. That means you’ll make sure that this puppy is loved lots!❞

❝Yay~!❞ He looks side to side before leaning close and then digging under his jacket. Carefully, he pulls out a tiny puppy wrapped in a blanket. ❝Jyushimatsu found this puppy in a box and-and Jyushimatsu thought Connor might like to have the puppy!❞

A Little Game

Jyushimatsu’s become probably at this point, the mascot of the police station. They don’t seem to mind him being here since he doesn’t get in the way and he doesn’t cause trouble for everyone. He also comes by delivering snacks to each workers around here too. He can’t remember when it started but it didn’t matter. He gets to have some fun time with the best team ever.

That’s the K9 unit.

They need breaks too, so time to time, Jyushimatsu plays with them. Lets them have fun. This time he managed to get the keys and release them all into the field. He decided that all of them should play hide and seek. Especially since someone’s going to come get them sooner or later.

So with all the dogs plus Jyushimatsu hiding, they all wait to be found. He peeked out from his hiding spot, waiting and watching.

Ah, someone’s coming.

Day 34: Today’s Matsu is… so shiny!

Rei waits with held breath, waiting for Jyushimatsu’s reaction to his cursed tube of tomato lip gloss. Will it be with approval, or will the old man be shunned by this cheerful person just like all the non-believers have done?

Then comes the lick; Rei’s heart taking a leap of faith until…

“Ahhh, I knew you would think so~!” Rei is so relieved to know that he’s not alone in this world, that he’s not the only one loving all these tomato-based products and cosmetics! He’s so happy that, once he’d returned the cap onto the tube of tomato lip gloss, he hands it to his newfound fellow fan. “Here; I’d like you to have it~ Use it well.”

Jyushimatsu blinked, staring at the item being handed to him. A gift? A gift! He takes the gift and puts it in his pocket ❝Jyushimatsu will ask Karamatsu-niisan to put this on for me!❞ If he had a tail, it would be wagging right about now.

He suddenly hugs the taller male and smiles brightly towards him ❝Jyushimatsu’s happy for the yummy gift!❞ He yanks the taller male downwards to his height and smooches him on the tip of his nose. ❝Jyushimatsu doesn’t have a gift right now! But, but, I’ll give you one if I see you again!❞
