First, after an aggressive war on Gaza City and its revival, we were displaced from our 3-storey house in which I and my family of 3 members live.

My father's family consists of 8 members

My grandfather, may God have mercy on him, was martyred by occupation aircraft on 12/14/2023.

The one who was martyred while he was leaving the house to check on our house next to him, which could not be reached due to a brutal enemy who does not differentiate between anyone in death, went out to check on our house, which we were not in because of my displacement to Rafah, me, my father, and our families due to the intensity of the fighting in Khan Yunis, and after that A few days ago, our store in which my father and brothers work was bombed by occupation aircraft. He was working to gather his strength from it and meet the needs of our house, which no longer exists due to the bombing. We ask you to help and contribute, even if just a little, by donating to us so that we can compensate for a little of what we lost.

it pains me to know that alicent indirectly sold out gwayne to the enemy while he is so overprotective of her and he is even fighting for her family when he doesn’t even know her/them. like he is literally willing to die for a family he doesn’t have a bond with, for him blood is probably most important than anything… and alicent just betrayed everyone like that (ryan condal im in your walls)

alicent being otto’s favorite because she is the one he could exploit/get benefits from and not gwayne cause he’s just his son (son of a second son = he couldn’t get anything from him) and leaving him behind, abandoned, therefore, alicent and gwayne neglected by him

i’m spiraling after alicent’s and gwayne’s scene so i had to write something

gwayne, even if he was the eldest, a son (what every westerosi/medieval man wishes for) he wasn’t the favorite. he was abandoned by his father at such young age when his mother had just died, he was separated from his sister and never got to know her well. he never got the opportunity to have a family (even if he was probably raised by hobert, he didn’t have his father, nor his mum cause she died so young and his sister was used by the person who was supposed to protect and love them after their loss and grief. he was alone at such young age)

alicent, the favorite, was neglected, converted into a child bride—“sold” by his father because he wanted to fulfill his ambitions. she was soon turned into a puppet by otto when be saw the opportunity to use her as a womb to have his blood close to the iron throne, never allowing her to be happy. never allowing her to be free. she was alone too, after losing her mum and then having to raise children being a child herself. she had to create a cold version of herself to survive.

alicent got the opportunity to be the favorite child, the opportunity to have her father close to her after losing her mother, but at which cost? she was used, sold and thrown into a loveless marriage where her kids didn’t grow up to be what she wanted.

gwayne got the opportunity to become well rounded because otto wasn’t snicking around to manipulate him, but at which cost? he was abandoned as a child, neglected. otto didn’t even care for him, he was just that to him: a son. nothing else, nothing more. never the favorite, never the pride nor anything.

both of them (alicent and gwayne) know it, it hurts because they’re aware of what their father did to them. they resent each other for their own reasons (being the favorite and being free from father’s claws) but still don’t hate each other, theres no hate because they know its not their fault. they are not close, but gwayne still found a way to relieve alicent’s pain as a mother. they don’t have a bond as they grew a part and it showed by gwayne’s distant behavior at first. he still found a way to make alicent smile and feel a little relieved. they’re siblings, and after all they share the same pain.

that would be also the last time of them seeing each other so it makes it a hundred times worse and painful

also: props to olivia cooke and freddie fox for making me cry today, they managed to make me feel alicent’s and gwayne’s pain through the screen. they are just amazing actors. 😭😭😭
