and i often picture hirano and kagiura as exes who ended up on bad terms simply because i have the liberty to do so hehe but also because they embody chaos, the comforting yet silently wrenching your gut kind of chaos, because kagiura is not as patient as sasaki, because they do not handle each other gently, i have always compared the dynamics shared by sasaki and miyano and hirano and kagiura parallely and the biggest difference is not the post i made months ago but the way they devour love, hirano is reckless unlike miyano, he doesn't have the ability to realize how his presence, his touch, his voice, all of him is a weapon, a knife to kagiura's complacency, that he simply cannot touch kagiura and expect him to act all sane when it is the most horrible thing his mind and his skin has to deal with, because kagiura is already devoted to him when they are perhaps people who do not understand how devotion works, i often picture hirano and kagiura as exes who ended up on bad terms simply because they both are working really hard to achieve a goal and if compared their goals are almost like diverging roads.

but i also think about the way hirano has a smile reserved for kagiura and the way kagiura has a language he only speaks to hirano and that is one of love, how hirano wouldn't mind doing something as unnecessary as returning a chocolate just because it made his "roommate" jealous and the way kagiura probably doesn't care about academics but would stay up solving a math equation just to share a space with someone he loves who doesn't love him back, yet, i often think about hirano and kagiura as exes who ended up on bad terms finding each other again with perhaps more patience and the same love to stay together till their presence in each others lives becomes as normal as breathing.

I am, like, a long running proponent of the "eat something and you'll feel better" crowd and am often one of the first people to suggest "maybe it's time for a snack before I get whipped into a frenzy" but I really do resent how instantaneous it is. like it'll feel like I'm having my worst day in months and then I'll start eating and literally before I even finish I'm like oh yeah the world is beautiful

im honestly. such a sucker for kiss scenes. and particularly the one where they watch the fireworks in aokis secret spot. im a sucker for desire. ida wants to kiss him so much so bad it makes him look STUPID!!! also that first hand holding scene on the bridge... really sweet and wholesome.... ALSO really like the chapter where aida meets hashimotos family... really fun and sweet. also also also really like the chapter where aoki and ida talk abt their future plans and ida encourages him to try something food related again... man just the way they all encourage each other to be happy and be their beat selves... really like all of it. so iconic... !

IKR??? Like Ida and Aoki are like custom made for each other! It’s so endearing that Aoki’s an emotional guy who’s forced to lie about his feelings in awkward situations and Ida’s a (usually) levelheaded calm guy who can’t lie for his life! Like I think they way they start dating is sooooo funny like Ida’s like “I’ve thought for ages and I realized idk shit so how about we just date since your confession made me happy and I can’t leave you alone” 😭 and then they date for a good couple of weeks before it hits him, oh man I really like this guy (THAT INTERACTION WITH THE KID WAS SOOO FUNNY I DIE EVERYTIME) and you’re right! The comedy makes everything hit so much better bc to Aoki it’s all him being earnest! And Ida too! They’re just two earnest idiots! (I still die at when Aoki and Ida fight while dating before Ida admits to reciprocating when Aoki gets really mad at Ida and things are so tense! And then Aoki tells Ida to get out and Ida suddenly looks flabbergasted for a completely different reason)

YEAH like. the way aoki is so quick to like. not necessarily lie but just cover up his feelings with jokes and making light of the situation even when hes feeling a different way. and the way hes so scared of what other people think. vs the way ida is so so earnest to the point he cant lie to save his life. and the way he always told aoki what he was feeling--from the beginning he knew he didnt quite know what he felt but he knew he wanted to pursue it. and then the interaction with the kids... You Are Me. really good. and like the moment he found out was the moment he told aoki.

but yeah aoki is also just so earnest but in that loud and excited and nervous way. heart on his sleeve man.... he gets scared and nervous and flustered and its a kind of classic situation. one with the heart on their sleeve, crying and laughing and every emotion on display vs the one whos so level-headed on the outside, but is also secretly freaking out.... really classic and i honestly cant get enough of it. really fun.

when is comes to asexuality and aromanticism you have to be okay with contradiction. one ace person will say asexuality is about not experiencing attraction, another will say it’s about not caring to act on attraction, another will say it’s not experiencing arousal. one aromantic will consider themself queer, one won’t. two people with seemingly identical experiences will use two different labels. aro people will be in romantic relationships, ace people will have sex. you get it.
