3.     She can be a little standoffish when first approached, but she tends to open right up after a few drinks.

4.     She once broke the arm of her best friend to prove that she could. This is surprising considering the fact that she is very much against using combat and is medic.

Long story short, Syvan’s family never really did much on the hugging front. That isn’t to say they didn’t express kindness or warmth toward one another; they just went about it in other ways. 

The first time someone truly hugged Syvan was after his first merc job. A very drunk elf who later became his friend picked him up and laughingly squeezed the life out of him in celebration. At the time Syvan wasn’t sure what to do, but since it was a friendly gesture, he went along with it.

Since then, various people have given him hugs of varying enthusiasm and he’s decided he likes them. It’s still taking time for him to remember to give them in return, but he’s making progress.

Now, Kaleb on the other hand…

He’s all about the hugs. Family and friends he grew up with never hesitated once in the hug department, and the more cheerful the occasion, the greater the frequency. 

Suffice to say, Kaleb enjoys hugs and finds it an excellent expression of his present feelings. Especially if he’s drunk. He’ll hug anybody unless they look like they might not appreciate it. His tend to be firm and strong, and if he’s physically able, sometimes he’ll swing the person around.
