#MakeATerribleComicDay2025 presents: a short comic called "Wishful Thinking".
(Spoiler warning for the ending of Chapter 4 in Deltarune.)

Why yes I DID finish the latest Deltarune chapters with a lot of feels goddammit, why do you ask? ;o; <3
I literally worked on this all of yesterday, but I did finish it on time for the annual messy comic art holiday! And it may have just inspired me to keep making more comics in general, because I didn't realize how badly I missed doing storytelling like this.
#fanart#deltarune#deltarune spoilers#kris dreemurr#susie deltarune#makeaterriblecomicday2025#makeaterriblecomicday#technically this was more like make a really fast comic rather than terrible#but it still counts!

The Deltarune Squad
Behold them! I spent all day yesterday trying to get the Deltarune bees out of my brain with some expression sketchpages... And all it did was make me wanna draw them even more, because this style is actually really, really fun!!

I Had A Watercolouring Epiphany Today
(Taken from my BlueSky thread) For anyone interested in figuring out whether they actually like watercolours or not, I made a discovery! Just save yourself the trouble and spend your money on the really nice, heavy, pure cotton paper to use. The paper matters so much more than I wanted to admit.
Seriously, I've been hemming and hawwing for actual years over whether I actually like using watercolours, when I have to fight with feeling like my glazes are too weak, or like my paper always warps too much, even when I blot excess water off my brushes. Trust me. It's the fucking paper.
And you don't need to buy yourself a huge expensive pad or block of paper if you just want to see how it feels! You can get a single sheet of 300 gsm paper from the art store and cut it up into smaller panels to play with. But it does give you a clearer idea of what it SHOULD feel like.
I'm having so much fun with my painting right now, and feeling like I'm actually getting the results I want! My technique wasn't actually bad, it was just being held up by using weak-ass paper that couldn't handle my true power.
(And to be honest, the paper I was using wasn't even THAT weak at 200 gsm, but the warping problems I was getting were MUCH less dramatic when I decided to use the Arches paper I've had in my closet since university because I have the usual artist problem of trying to save ✨the nice supplies✨)

I had a realization in regards to Amber's colors this month, and I think this speaks well to how much I've loved this change since it occurred to me. <3
(Also I drew this on my birthday so it was extra indulgent~)

Amber and Sheena show off their fluffy paws~ Going outside without a jacket isn’t a problem for either of them, since it’s easy for these girls to throw on another kind of winter coat! Selective shapeshifting is handy like that. <3

Summertime Amber
I discovered today that today is International Lynx Day, so I had to draw an Amber! She's a winter-loving wildcat, of course, but that doesn't mean that she can't enjoy summertime! So here's my sunny poolside cat to celebrate the day~

Enra’s Jam
Being on stage unleashes a whole other side for this punky pig! Her confidence soars, her voice roars, and she rocks her bass with a rhythmic fury only fingers with hooftips could slap down~ This is the duality of Enra. <3
(Also this is the first piece I’ve created for Ko-fi that has sponsored support, so please behold the names of this artwork’s sponsors~! What a milestone! Thank you so much to my Lynxie Helpers and One-Time Sponsors from the last month. <3)

So I'm trying something a bit different again with some more sketchy/experimental type commissions!
Mainly bc I'm wanting to make sure I get these done and feel I'm not setting the mental expectations for myself that I always do when working for others and treat it more like my own work. What you see in these is about the same level of what I hope to produce here! I hope the sheets read ok.
At the moment, I'm just looking to take 2 slots of commissions, excluding illustration for now! I want to ease into feeling able to do this. When those are done, I will dip my toes into some of the illustration stuff! Feel free to ask about them if you'd like to reserve one for the future, but for now it will just be the sketch commissions in the upper half listed. I'll update this pose when things change!
Can DM me on here through messages if interested or if you have questions! First come first serve! I take PayPal!
Pricing may change based on complexity, but I can always discuss working within a budget~

I finally jumped back into making "minimations" for a special commission event, to help myself remember how to use CSP for animating! I made a point of restricting myself to only drawing 3 frames at most per animation, and I think that made for some very fun and fast results~ I think I might try for more like these in the near future, especially now that I know how to streamline the setup!
(Additional "fun" fact: My computer's GPU decided to die the precise moment I put pen to tablet after I had finished chatting with my stream audience on the first day I started work on these. Of COURSE my computer couldn't wait until the weekend to crap out on me, but at least I had my new laptop as a backup that was strong enough to run CSP and OBS for that week until I got my new rig! Yay for unintended foresight!)

Ok, loves, so we've all got the message that joking about suicide is bad for your mental health. Now we need to get on "joking that the planet/all of humanity has no future is bad for societal health/encouraging resistance to bad shit."

"He actually smiled." Kaladin's last sight of Tien. Gouache-a-day, 8 May. I'm really getting the hang of this. It's amazing how much you learn if you (a) put in the work, and (b) go with what you want to paint instead of what you think might be an easy subject to learn (but actually can’t be bothered with).
I'm using HIMI gouache and I love the way it feels. Totally unlike watercolour, but really soft and buttery. It’s so much fun to paint skin with this.

Just a reminder that I have a patreon where I post 3 times a month, depending on the tier, of art earlier than my social media or entirely exclusive!
Lots of giant/tiny and monster stuff there and older things I might not post anywhere else!

I recently finished watching Dororo (2019) with my weekly anime group, and this show instantly became one of my favorites… Great action animation with a surprisingly well-realized story, and I really loved Dororo and Hyakkimaru’s dynamic. So naturally, I had to strike while the iron is hot, and draw some fanart. <3 This was also an experiment to see how much I could get away with using only 5 colours of acrylic marker, and because of it, I figured out a LOT about layering with these markers that I wouldn’t have otherwise! (e.g. Dororo’s hair shading is green with a layer of pink on top~ I only used 2 shades of pink in this picture!)
