.   ˚   ₊   𓆩  ⟡  𓆪   ₊   ˚   . ❝   okay   ,   fine   .   sige   na   nga   .   gusto   natin   pareho   .   ❞   atlas   rolled   his   eyes   playfully   .   ❝   but   just   so   you   know   ,   it's   all   your   fault   naman   .   how   could   i   not   want   you   all   the   time   ?   you're   so   sexy   kasi   ,   mahal   ko   .   and   so   pogi   pa   .   so   talented   .   and   hot   .   and   so   perfect   .   i   love   you   ,   ❞   he   stole   a   quick   peck   from   the   other's   lips   ,   his   fingers   now   lazily   trailing   up   and   down   cassius'   sides   as   an   endearingly   mischievous   smirk   appeared   in   his   features   .   atlas   treasured   slow   moments   like   these   where   he   had   cassius   to   himself   ,   where   he   thought   of   nothing   but   to   make   him   feel   so   loved   and   so   wanted   ,   where   it   was   fully   evident   just   simply   by   looking   at   him   that   he   did   feel   loved   and   wanted   .   and   that   was   all   the   reward   he   needed   for   all   his   love   ⸺   that   cassius   was   happy   .   through   the   lifetimes   they've   shared   together   ,   atlas   has   learned   to   be   fully   content   taking   what   he   can   get   and   being   with   cassius   however   way  the   fates   allowed   ⸺   even   if   it   meant   loving   him   from   afar   .   what   they   have   right   now   was   nothing   short   of   a   miracle   .   marriage   ,   on   the   other   hand   ,   was   quite   a   dangerous   thing   to   even   dream   of   .   he   has   lived   this   way   for   what   seemed   like   an   eternity   .   looking   at   the   string   on   his   finger   now   ,   a   forgotten   desire   began   to   awaken   in   him   ,   a   dream   he   desperately   tried   to   bury   began   to   tear   its   way   through   his   near-fossilized   resolve   .   it   hurt   .   it   felt   like   being   hollowed   out   alive   .   atlas   has   mastered   disguising   his   emotions   with   an   uncaring   facade   ,   but   cassius   seemed   determined   to   break   his   walls   .   ❝   grabehang   speed   naman   'yan   ,   neighbor   pogi   .   ❞   he   cleared   his   throat   ,   noticing   how   shaky   it   sounded   .   ❝   siyempre   ❛   i   do   ❜   agad   !   ikaw   na   'yan   eh   .   pakakawalan   pa   ba   kita   ?   eh   ,   ikaw   lang   kumakalabog   sa   puso   ko   nang   ganito   .   pwedeng   bukas   na   ?   'di   na   ata   ako   makakatulog   hanggang   'di   tayo   kasal   .   ❞

          ❀               ៶               𝐜.               ﹚               "    masusunod   ang   pinaka-mamahal   ko   .    "      cass   easily   gives   in   to   atlas   .    the   cuteness   radiating   from   him   right   now   is   impossible   to   get   away   from   .    it's   a   win   for   him   even   though   he   feels   icky   from   the   gig   they   had   earlier   .     a   brow   raises   when   he   feels   atlas'   slender   digits   exploring   his   skin   underneath   his   dirty   shirt   .    he   can't   help   but   laugh   at   how   funny   yet   endearing   his   acts   are   .      "    para   bang   hindi   kita   kilala    ,    mahal   .    yan   ba   talaga   ang   gusto   ko   or   ang   gusto   mo    ?    alam   mo   namang   isang   sabi   mo   lang    ,    ibibigay   ko   kaagad   sayo   .    "      now   he   finds   himself   in   a   situation   where   he   can't   stop   giggling   .    his   heart   is   so   full   of   happiness   .    so   full   of   atlas   .    it's   harder   to   leave   his   side   now   .    hands   on   his   hips   while   he   peppers   his   face   with   sniff   kisses    ,    whenever   atlas   would   go   to   another   spot    ,    he'd   give   him   more   access   to   his   skin   .      "    mahal   na   mahal   kita   .    tangina   atlas   papakasalan   na   talaga   kita   .    now   na   gusto   mo    ?    "      cass   grins   widely    ,    cutting   the   loose   thread   on   his   shirt   to   wrap   it   around   atlas'   ring   finger   .      "    practice   muna   .    tatanungin   pa   ba   kita    ?    yes   naman   isasagot   mo   diba    ?    "      at   this   point    ,    anything   would   do   .    time   is   precious   and   cass   learned   not   to   waste   it   just   because   he's   worried   .    there   are   a   lot   of   lifetimes   they've   missed   .    he   wouldn't   let   this   one   just   be   another   life   with   love   wasted   .

.   ˚   ₊   𓆩  ⟡  𓆪   ₊   ˚   . why   did   he   leave   ?   because   he   wasn't   ready   ?  because   he   was   scared   he   wasn't   going   to   travel   the   world   like   he   wanted   ?    no   ,   because   he   was   a   coward   .   he   let   his   fears   outshine   his   better   judgment   ,   even   his   love   for   hyeri   .   he   realized   too   late   that   his   reasons   were   nowhere   near   compelling   enough  ⸺   no   amount   of   freedom   and   beautiful   sights   were   worth   throwing   hyeri   away   for   .   and   he   proved   to   be   an   even   bigger   coward   when   he   couldn't   bring   himself   to   come   back   immediately   to   correct   his   mistakes   .   a   pathetic   excuse   for   a   man   ,   his   father   once   said   . and he was right .   ❝  i   was   a   coward   .   i   still   am   ,   i   know   that   .   i   don't   know   why   i   let   my   fear   get   the   best   of   me   when   i   know   your   love   would've   washed   all   of   that   away   . none of it would have mattered as long as we were together .  ❞   and   that   was   all   there   was   to   it   .   he   wished   he   could   give   her   a   better   reason   for   what   he   did   ⸺   something   that   would   lessen   the   gravity   of   his   sins   or   weaken   the   magnitude   of   the   pain   .   but   that   was   really   just   it   .   weak   .   cowardly   .   pathetic   .   ❝   do   you   see   why   you   deserve   better   ?   all   this   pain   you're   feeling   ,   it's   because   of   me   ,   love   .   you   deserve   someone   who   won't   destroy   you   like   this   .  ❞  god   ,   did   it   wreck   him   to   see   her   hurt   herself   physically   ,   desperate   to   relieve   the   emotional   turmoil   she   was   going   through   .  all   august   could   really   do   was   loosen   the   latch   of   their   seatbelts   and   pull   her   into   his   arms   .   ❝   i'm   sorry   .   i'm   so   sorry   ,   love   .   i'll   fix   it   .   i'll   make   it   all   better   .   you   won't   have   to   hurt   anymore   .   i   love   you   .  ❞  and   he   meant   it   .   he   loved   her   .   he   will   fix   everything   .   he   will   stop   causing   her   pain   .   even   if   it   meant   walking   out   of   her   life   forever   .   for   good   .
