Tumblr post 10: Memory 🧠 This week, I work on different strategies for memorize my courses. I used 4 strategies to use my memory: 7 ways to Remember What You Need to Learn, Acronym, Acronym sentence and Rhyme. I liked to work with Acronym strategies because it was fun and quick to memorize new words in different kinds of ways of Acronym. 👩🏽‍🏫📝💭🧠

 ONE STEP AT A TIME

 Problem:

Whether should I let others take my shift at workplace

Consequences:

1. Don’t have enough time for the A-level tasks above

2. I could feel overwhelmed before a long and tired journey during thanksgiving

Possible to Do’s

1. Let others take my shift

2. Do go to work, but finish the tasks off early

3. Go to work, scatter those tasks into everyday work

Will Do

1. Do go to work, but finish the tasks off early

Since the quiz is on Thursday, along with the CLS experiment project, I should finish reviewing as early as possible. Also, I should do it earlier and leave myself more time on Friday since I have to catch a flight in NYC.

 IS VERSUS WANTS:

Current situation: Haven’t finished the ENL paper#1 yet, still need time to work on it but it’s due days ago.

Desired situation: Get a chance to resubmit and do well on paper#2

Action:

1. Talk to the instructor and ask if a rewrite/submit would work

2. Go to the office hours to ask for advice on my essays

3. Gather more information on the essay and make it real good

Plan:

Figure out what I should say to the instructor, and prepare the problems that I need to ask him for advice. For example, how to organize a proper body paragraph and how to pick resources that fit my need, etc.

Evaluation:

If I could get a chance to resubmit it, I can also get a chance to rewrite for a higher score since this is the policy of this class. I will definitely strive for those opportunities.

Reflection:

This week hasn’t been a chaos, but I absolutely didn’t plan it out of my schedule. The problems that I have figured out right now has been stated above in the problem-solving strategies. I already put those cases into my planner.

Post tumblr: Problem Solving ✅ This week, I worked in class on different kinds of problems solving to help to solve my problems about school or something in life that I struggle with. So I took 3 strategies: ranking priorities, create a case study, one step at a time. However, the most efficient is ranking priorities because I always struggle on which is important and which can wait. So, I just make a list of all I really have to do asap and I ranked what I have to do now. Therefore, I really can use this one when I have a lot of things to do urgently. 👊🏾

Tumblr post #8 : PROCRASTINATION For this tumblr I used the Now or Pay method and the 24 hour rule because those strategies force me to do my homework’s earlier . For the now or pay method I wrote what is good if I do my paper on time and what is bad if I don’t do my paper on time and for the 24 hour rule I wrote my homework’s due 24 hour before the due date. This week in class, we work on procrastination strategies. We tried different strategies which fit with what we are and need, to do our work instead of procrastinate. We think that it's really helpful as we have sometimes a lot of work to do and we just sometimes too lazy or distract to do it now. Now, we know how to fight against this funny monkey 🐒 and just do it without distraction. 💪🏾

Tumblr post 8: PROCRASTINATION 🐒 This week we work on procrastination. Here my work to fight against procrastination. I used 3 strategies to do my homework and assignments on my SOC 103, ENL 202 and CLS 105 classes 📚📝: 10 minutes techniques, 24 hour rule and procrastination attack plan. I think the strategy that help me the most is procrastination attack plan. As I have to make a list of what I'm going to do this week to achieve my work and each time that I achieved my tasks, I was proud of myself and it just cheers me more to finished it.

Tumblr post 7 I used X minutes reading, NSAS, ARM-RS for SPM 101 class. I feel like those strategies helped me more than usual because when reads I used to not understand but with those readings I felt like I was more focus and I could more understand. Maeva Djaldi Tabdi

Tumblr post 7: This tumblr was about readings strategies which were: flash card reading, ARM-RS, NSAS and Sam Really Acts Creatively. For study, I essentially use flash cards reading or graphic because it's more easy for me to learn with these methods. So I used these methods on 3 courses: SOC 102, REL 100 and SPM 101. I used Flasch card reading for the definition in SOC 102 and Sam Really Acts Creatively too for summarize the main point in the paragraphs because it's the most difficult class that I have among my other classes as I have a lot of readings to do. I also used NSAS with REL 100, I did a graphic organizer for the next reflection paper that we have to do soon and the last one is ARM-RS that I applied on my SPM class to write a journal after, it helps me to organized my ideas 💡.

And my last new area is at Goldstein next to the cafeteria, I think it's not the best to study because there is a lot of distraction around (Tv, friends and people around) but it still an awesome place to study or work in group but not alone and not for study an exam 😐. And on the 2nd picture, you can see my evaluation about the new places and my favorite is the first one for sure with a 12/14 ! I'm near from gym, home, it's quiet and spacious place, I can bring some foods and drinks and there is always someone to help me ! 👌🏾

This is the second one... Yes in my bedroom! 😅, since the beginning of my first year at Syracuse, I never study in my room because I am never at home during the journey, and I always do my homework at Stevenson but I forgot how was good to be in your room to do your work but I think it's a little hard for me because if I have a big assignment to do, I'll not be focused as I can be when I am at Stevenson. So if I have to study on my room, it will be just for the little homework like for my ENL class. 👩🏽‍🏫

It’s really quiet and I really enjoyed to do my work because there is no distractions compared to Steven where I used to study (sorry I don’t remember the name of the room 😬).
