You take simple inquiring to something shallow. I am not here to be a child and tattle tale on others. I am here for a more serious case, but if you truly do not have anything else to say then that is fine. I will not bother you any longer.  ❞  ◄

Byakuya hadn’t even bothered to set his book down, after all, he hadn’t expected her interruption would last as long as it already had. Practically snorting at the thought that her inquisitions could serve any serious purpose, he raised a brow to glance back at her in feigned disinterest. In all honesty- he was curious about what it was she seemed so intent to get to the bottom of... But if it wasn’t important enough for her to actively seek his help- it likely was uninteresting.

“Mm. I hadn’t realized wasting my time was such a serious procedure of your investigations. I’ve made it beyond clear I have nothing more for you, detective. Why are you so delighted in drawing out your departure? Have I not made it clear enough that your presence is a disturbance? Perhaps I can offer you a cup of tea. Slippers. A smoking pipe, perhaps?”
