Coming into 2019, I had 3 New Year Resolutions: 1. Buy a home ✅ 5/30/19 2. Give Birth to a healthy baby✅ 7/6 3. Begin a new tradition with my family in our new home It’s really important for us to teach Taj to celebrate his heritage the same way we acknowledge other holidays like Christmas or Thanksgiving. I’ve never met anyone who celebrated or even knew the principles or symbols of Kwanzaa & that’s just soo unfortunate. How did we allow generations to pass without passing down the traditions of the only holiday that celebrates us? For today’s #TutorialThursday I attempted to film how I shampoo & conditioned my niece’s hair for her appointment. She wasn’t very cooperative so the whole thing was a struggle���😤 Instead of a full tutorial I’ll just post clips throughout the day (the few that I have where she isn’t screaming & hollering). . . Karmen has super thick tightly coiled hair and is currently transitioning after a “softener” Treatment she received over a year ago left her hair super dry & damaged.
