Being Barnabos and watching Skrimm fumble his way through his relationship with Daisy must be insane.

Like, Barnabos passed up his chance at love and now he's watching Skrimm potentially fuck his up. Watching episode 31 of Icebound, for research purposes, and it hit me how important it is that Barnabos keeps trying to get Skrimm to confess. Again, Barnabos had a true love, and even tho they're not together anymore (i guess), he's still wholly devoted to her. He will never have another lover. Something he very clearly states in a later episode (tho we already knew that). That was a hard choice for him and he still struggles with it. He doesn't want to see the same happen to Skrimm.

In his eyes, Skrimm has the chance he no longer does. He can have what Barnabos cannot. And Skrimm is important to him. He wants Skrimm to be happy. Skrimm deserves to be happy (even if he himself disagrees)

They're in this unforgiving land where any of them could die at any minute and even as Daisy is taken away from that, Skrimm doesn't confess (which is understandable to me, personally). Barnabos probably sees this as Skrimm throwing away his chance at true love. Because Daisy could die at any moment. Because Skrimm could die at any moment. I can't imagine his exasperation lol. I'm sure he wants to grab him and shake him around, knock some sense into him. You're wasting your time! Why can't you see what's in front of you! Don't end up like me!
