To put some more light on this topic, we researched further and found that the “big three” social networks for business are Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook. But it is important to know what our readers think about it. Facebook along with others have proved to be a good source of promoting business, but it needs to be used with caution. There are some do’s and don’ts’ of using Facebook for business purposes. A small mistake may land you up in legal troubles. So, it is important to stay within the limits.
DO’S AND DON’T’S
 The company must promote its Facebook page, so as to remain as an active user.
 The business should take responsibility of every word posted through their Facebook page
 The content of each post should be unique and engaging. 
 Their must be a set marketing strategy, a professional page should never have random posts.
Never use engagement-bait to attract people towards your page.
 Adhere by the company’s social media policy, if any.
Networking is the key concept of business, and Facebook acts as a bridge to the massive network. With the massive number of users, Facebook serves as a platform of unlimited audience for the business people.  On the whole, this concept of using Facebook for business purposes is really effective and helping thousands of small and large businesses and corporations to expand the horizon of their target audience.

INS AND OUTS OF USING FACEBOOK IN BUSINESS
Should we pay Facebook for our business advertisements? How can Facebook be helpful in promoting our business? These are the few questions we may constantly hear around business people. With this discussion, we hope most of you will get the answers. 
Facebook has immensely affected the way business’ promote themselves on social media. There might not be any company which does not have a Facebook page. Along with acting as a marketing strategy, Facebook may give these business people some goosebumps. Let’s discuss both sides of this controversial topic.

Advantages of using Facebook in Business:
Brand Recognition: Facebook being one of the major platforms on social media, helps to promote businesses. Your business’ presence can be enhanced with this effective application. New products and services can be launched in just one click.
Drive web traffic: Facebook has 2.32 billion users as reported in 2018. And all these users can be driven towards a business just by adding the link of the business’ official website on Facebook account. This increases the number of online visits to the website and make more people aware of your business’ presence.

Focused advertisement:  It would help in promoting the specified products to a specific target market. You can identify the demographic you want to target and then make the post go viral on Facebook. It is as simple as that.
Generate Business superiority: The likes, comments and shares act as the starting point for enhancing the superiority of a business. It makes people and the business itself get aware of their standing in the marketplace and increase their business intelligence, while observing the competitors.
Costumer service and feedback: It acts as a two-way communication channel that enable businesses to get in direct contact with their costumers. The Facebook messenger can be used to communicate without any delay and get feedback about the business and its services.
Observe and Boost: The data from your page’s ‘Facebook Insights’ can help identify best ways to promote the business and then plan for the future.
 Disadvantages of Using Facebook in Business:

Time and capital: Setting up and running a Facebook page and managing it to have engaging content is not an easy task. It requires a lot of time and some staff, that are entirely focused on this.
Expertise: The staff that is selected to manage the page needs to be trained about the do’s and don’ts’ of posting legal content on the page.
Negative Feedback: The two-way communication has another down side too, where it enables unhappy customers to mention their complains. They may even post their issues publicly, which is not good the image of the business.
Commitment: If a business sets up a Facebook page, they need to maintain it properly and be active on it. The users who do not publish regularly become inactive users and it reflects a poor image of the business.

Hello everyone
Hope you all are enjoying the winters full of snow. With this post, we are going to heat up the environment a bit, so that the cold does not bother you guys much. Today our topic of discussion is focused on Social media. 
Social Media 
We live in an era where the access to information is just a click away. We millennials like to express ourselves in every possible way. This is where social media plays an important role. 
 Social media is a collection of websites and computer-based programs that enable us to communicate with people using electronic devices. Social media has become the new standard of sharing information, may it be sharing about important life events like weddings and convocation ceremonies to little details like what one is wearing for a party.
The Golden era of social media started in 2001. The video below describes how the social media evolved in the past years.

Uses of Social media
Social media is a good source of information about any social cause or problems going around in the world. With the help of it, employers can seek potential candidates for specific jobs. It helps people to grow and communicate with each other with any hindrance. People may use social media to voice their issue to the higher authorities. It may help business people to promote and advertise their products and enhance their profit margins.

Overview of Facebook
Since social media is a vast topic, so we will focus on one of the top innovations of social media, that is Facebook.
 In February 2004, Facebook was launched by Mark Zuckerberg. It was initially meant to be used only by the students of Harvard University, but it later influenced the whole world. The Facebook currently has 2.32 billion active users in the world. More about Facebook will be posted in the upcoming posts.
