I've been seeing a lot of posts about trans women having to deal with ignorance and transmisogyny, which is especially exhausting when it's from people within the queer community

And one of the issues I keep seeing pop up is that it's ridiculusly difficult for trans women to shop for clothing. And people just are not getting it.

I am begging transmascs to understand that their experience with clothing is WILDLY different from the average transfem experience with clothing.

Transmascs face issues like sizing, accounting for breasts when buying clothes, not finding things they personally think are fashionable, which are all annoying and valid to complain about

But trans women face actual physical violence. When trans women shop in the women's clothing section for women's clothes, they can be verbally abused, kicked from the store, physically abused.

Trans women are often not allowed in women's changing rooms to try on clothing, so they WON'T know if it fits. (Transmascs please keep in mind that this is actually a different issue to your clothing problem. Please remember that trans women can and will be called predators/creeps/perverts for trying to enter any women's space, let alone a changing room.)

Buying clothing as a trans woman is physically and mentally dangerous sometimes. Trans women are uniquely targeted by this violence

i feel really bad for saying this, but something i struggle with regarding my autism is trying to sound interested in other people's interests. i try so hard to seem interested because i know that feeling of being ignored when infodumping about your interests, but also, my own interests are so restricted that i cant get into/seem interested in anyone elses interests.

i cant get into things people recommend me, at all, no matter how hard i actually want to because it just feels like a demand. i also cant get into anything else even if i myself really want to get into it. especially if someone else's interests involve anything with real humans. cant watch anything thats live action, it needs to be animated and usually has to involve animals in some way.
