sue me, I was thinking about the inscryption “me as a scrybe” character I made a while back and decided to scrawl them down again, with some modifications. I’m calling this fuck Dickens in my mind because I find it funny and also for some reason all I could think when drawing them originally was ‘ghost of christmas past ass’. Added a lot of visual clutter so you can’t realllly tell what genre, era, or general vibe they’re going for to give off the distinct impression of ‘theatre kid who just got into the costume closet to try on everything’.

- these are all 100% temporary tattoos because it’s funny. the one on their chest says killjoy because much like me, they absolutely Are one

- instead of changing masks or faces for different bosses, their face would remain perpetually the same- it would be everything else about them that would change, hair colour and all, swapping out wigs and costume pieces to suit each encounter

- because this Thing is based directly on me, it’s entire realm would just be storytelling. card system based on matching plot devices, archetype cards, and actions together well. probably made with a set of interchangeable linography stamps because I’ve wanted to do that in real life for ages but do Not need more hobbies

- the key around their neck could totally be grabbed if you want to be an asshole and lunge for it and for your efforts you would open a box and garner a singular photograph of them without the mask on (literally just a regular ass person without the costume).

-did I mention that the entire concept here is that this character is 100% just a regular ass person with a costume on. their hair doesn’t even do that that’s a wig with a Lot of hairspray in it. if I want to be cringefail about it which I do today I’d say that they were probably intended to be like a 5th quadrant of the game that was super normal-guy themed like the fucking business dude from Pokémon Scarlet/Violet who (at whatever point the game became fucking Wacky and Conscious) decided fuck that and promptly refashioned their entire system into the hodgepodge that it is now to not be boring. bonus points if their entire like, zone is just Clearly normal buildings like fast food restaurant or Normal Road With Cars but cardboard cutouts of dramatic scenes and knights and little alien guys and all kinds of shit is just everywhere.
