2024 year in review !! template used
this year we: finally got into a zine (the 20th anni project for d.gray-man in june), got back into vent art, and are mostly done with a portfolio for college now which we are...... still working on applying to as of now.
the other thing with this year is that uh. it fucking sucked! just no good, very bad, absolute trash ass year. only solution to that in our mind was to dive head first into both spirituality and art improvement, both of which i feel like we made big strides in. we're sssssstarting to get where we want to be with art (although obviously going back to school is gonna make that a lot easier than trying to do so on our own) and as for the spiritual stuff i'd say we're... uh...... "novice level" would be putting it generously, i think.
in any case!! major year for us in many ways, but good to see it really showed up in the art department. looking forward to next year !! let's go let's go let's goooooo

i originally went with a lottie/lacie idea + ancient greece theme but then i realized the statue i referenced was not actually from ancient greece (OTL) so i went with some angsty jack/oswald + flower symbolism !! the flowers are lavenders, which symbolize purity and devotion, which i thought contrasted beautifully with jack's betrayal!!!
i did a lot of experimentation with this namely in the painting department and i'm not entirely sure if i'm happy with the end result but...! i'm proud i put so much effort in at least lol
anyway i hope u like it !! this was lots of fun :> and happy holidays ofc !!!!
