Baekhyun releases surprise digital single featuring Yexi

Baekhyun surprised his fans releasing a digital single only a few days after his long awaited album. Fans were excited to see that not only was it a full English Song but that it featured Yexi from Seventeen, someone he has expressed wanting to collab with in the past. When asked why he released a digital single right after the album dropped this is what he had to say:

"I was pretty much already done with the album and we were making the final decision on how many tracks we wanted to be on the album when this song was sent to me. I fell in love with it and instantly knew I wanted to record it and who I wanted to feature on it. Once that was done and it was time to finalize the track list for the album the song couldn't fit. We tried rearranging the track list multiple times but the theme and tone had been set and this particular track didn't match it, but I just couldn't let it go to the cutting room floor. So I decided to release it as a digital single instead and I love the song so much I just couldn't wait to share it with fans so I dropped it now instead of later."

The single is currently doing well on the charts and rising along with the tracks of his album so it looks like even if it didn't match the theme if this album fans seem to love it just as much. You can find Baekhyun's new album on Spotify and Seventeen's will follow on 5/26.

Famous Chinese producer and song writer XiiN turns out to be a female K-Pop Idol shocking Netizens

News broke on Weibo overnight that the successful producer and songwriter XiiN, who was responsible for more than 10 of China's top 100 songs of 2024, is actually none other than currently active kpop idol Yexi from co-ed group Seventeen. Yexi is already known for her producing and songwriting prowess in Korea and boasts a substantial number of copyrights to her name. What seems to be shocking most is that Yexi has managed to hit the required number of copyrighted songs needed to be accepted into both Associations which is an incredible accomplishment and hard to do.

We reached out to Pledis Entertainment for comment:

"We are currently checking all the facts with our artist, but as of right now we can confirm that Wang Yexi is XiiN."

Social Media has been blowing up since the news broke but the biggest topic seems to be about time...and where does she find it? As one of the members with the busiest schedules and jetsetting between Korea, China, Japan, and even America, where would one even find the time to write, produce, and compose these hit songs of the last few years? That's only taking into account her solo schedules and not group schedules.

I guess we now have the proof of when her members called her a workaholic. A huge congratulations to Yexi on such a major achievement and I'm sure she'll only shock us more in the years to come.

hello how are you doingg? i havent heard for a while

So sorry, I got covid it's taken awhile to fully recover and even get back to feeling normal. I'm starting to finally feel like myself so I hope to finally get back to writing soon. I'm so sorry I just dropped off but after I 'recovered' and went back to work I was absolutely wiped and had zero energy to do anything.

I made it 5 years without getting covid and I think covid got mad about it and chose to make me suffer lol.

I promise to get something out as soon as I'm able. I haven't given up on the blog. I have a lot of half started things where I attempted to try and get something out, so I just need to finish them. Let me ask this...

Jeonghan teased her about it through the whole thing but the company scraped enough footage to possibly make it into a series but it's definitely lacking. They'd have to bring in the GoSe editors for some serious help.

And I've been wondering where GoSe is too. We got a sprinkle of a few episodes but I don't remember them even stating there was going to be an extended break or anything.

Random Yexi Facts: Part 4

When on tour she tries to donate to organizations on the local area while she's there

On her birthday she always donates to charities in Korea, China, and the US since all have been part of her growing up.

She has two other names she has writing credits under for songs she does personally that have no ties to seventeen.

In 2020 she was inducted into the KOMCA

In 2025 she is in consideration for being inducted into the MCSC which is China's equivalent, but under a pseudonym.

Her first date with Jaehyun was actually orchestrated by the 97 liners by planning a meet up and no one else showing up but the two of them.

Yexi had content planned where before each member went into the military she would make their favorite meal and reminisce about trainee life and talk about the future but her first episode with Jeonghan most of the footage was her crying so the project has been shelved for now.

On her off days she will go to random studios (she tries to make them smaller ones) and sign up for a class and wear a mask the whole time to stay anonymous because she wants to enjoy a class as just a pupil, but that way if she is found out later on social media maybe it will help out smaller studios.

During be the sun tour she tried to meet choreographers at each stop to film content and she submitted but the company still hasn't posted it to this day begrudgingly

She's taken to following Jungkooks rule of if she wants to talk to carats she'll talk to carats, even at 3am.

She started forcing herself in situations where she didn't have her members to lean and was forced to be less shy and more sociable. This caused her to come more out of her shell and she found herself enjoying shows more and being comfortable by herself and allowing her more solo opportunities and her members were so supportive and proud of her

When Cheol is asked to reprimand her over things she finds stupid or insignificant her go to response is "what are they gonna do, fire me?"

Pledis offered her to have her own version of Danceology but she declined not wanting to take anything from Dino

When DK was doing his musical she went to multiple shows and has multiple ticket stubs and a signed playbill framed in her room

She has dinner with Seungkwan often now that Hannie is in the Military.

She's gone to visit Hannie any chance shes been able

Jungkook said that every guy in his platoon begged for her autograph when he got there, and she agreed but only if they promised to look after him well.

Yexi was approached by 3 other companies in 2024 and 2025 about signing with them when her contract renewal is up.

Her members are constantly lecturing her on burnout becayse she's always filling up her schedule to be there for friends and juniors and doing what she can to help others promote or get in extra practice or go to help promote in China and Japan when Jeonghan is in the Military.

She got a tattoo during her lunar new year break in 2025

She donated to the California Wildfire efforts in 2025

She was the idol most idols said they wanted to share a stage with in 2023 after her mega viral Mastermind stage

In 2025 she is emerging as the idol of idols and this is not just with female idols

She has the biggest girl crush in Julie from Kiss of Life and her members are giving her hell for it because she turned bright red and turned tail and ran when she saw her at one of the music shows

The Family Reunion We've Been Waiting For!

GOT7 posted a video to their page yesterday with a surprise guest in it, none other than Yexi Wang the infamously dubbed little sister of GOT7. We've been treated with small reunions between Yexi and a few of the members for their comebacks since the last group comeback, but this is the first time we've seen them all together in the same room since 2022. Fans of both GOT7 and Seventeen have been flooding social media to gush over the interactions and loving the fact that their still so close even years later.

Although it was a short trip (Yexi made a layover in Korea between tour stops) they all made the most of it and they can be seen hanging out in their green room before their performance on the music show and going out to eat together afterward. As always there was constant teasing and doting but most of all an atmosphere of family. You can watch the entire video on GOT7's YouTube channel here.

Seventeen Yexi's Lunar New Year Surprise!

It's reported that Seventeen's Yexi has shown her support to her friends Bambam, from kpop group Got7, and The8, her fellow group mate, for being new Producers on an audition program titled "Chuang Asia Season 2" that is currently airing. It was recently revealed that Bambam and The8 took ALL trainees out to eat for the lunar holiday but that was not the end to the trainees holiday surprises. Each trainee came back to an additional red envelope on their bed and a gift bag packed to the brim and a letter to all trainees which you can read below:

Hello,

This is Seventeen's Yexi and I hope you had a warming meal. I remember clearly all the hardships I went through as a trainee. The long hours, the wear and tear on your body and voice, the absolute grit you have to have to keeping going that one last time
