Mingyu had taken you home upon your request, and the two of you were silent the entire ride home. Your mind was full of far too many thoughts and Mingyu knew that trying to talk to you would only make it worse. When you arrived at his house, you took a shower and then laid in his bed under the thick covers, looking lifeless.
Was all of this your fault? Had four innocent people been murdered… because of you? Thinking about it had your eyes swelling with tears.
Why was Jun doing this? To get to you? To get to Mingyu? You weren’t sure, but Jun had gone way too far now. On top of all of that, you had almost kissed Wonwoo after telling Mingyu you love him and swearing to him that there was nothing between you and your best friend. You didn’t even want to know how far things would’ve gone if Mingyu hadn’t interrupted you.
“Mingyu?” you said quietly, trying to hold back tears. He shifted his position on the bed so that he was looking at you.
“Yeah?”
“I… Is it my fault? Those kids dying?” your voice broke as you spoke.
“God, Y/N, of course not.” Mingyu replied, reaching out and pulling you close to him. You couldn’t help but sob into his chest as he comfortingly stroked your hair. It normally would have soothed you, but given what had happened with Wonwoo earlier, you didn’t think you’d ever felt as guilty in your life as you did in that moment.
“Don’t…” you pushed away from him. “Don’t do that.”
The room was tense again as you laid flat against the bed. You didn’t even breathe for what felt like an eternity, and then, you were sobbing again, only it was into your hands this time.
Mingyu just looked at you, completely unable to believe that you’d pushed him away. He’d always comforted you when you were upset, and you’d always welcomed it, so he had to wonder… What changed?
You put your arms down and sighed, barely able to see through the water that filled your eyes.
“I kissed Wonwoo.” Mingyu sat up immediately.
“Wha-”
“Okay I almost kissed Wonwoo, but you showed up before anything could happen.” you explained, refusing to look over at him. Mingyu scoffed, throwing his legs over the side of his bed and running his hands through his hair.
“You told me,” he sighed, looking over his shoulder at you through the darkness, “you told me there was nothing to worry about.”
“I know, I know, and there wasn’t. I really, really thought there wasn’t.” you explained, but you knew those words meant basically nothing. Mingyu silently turned on the lamp by his bed before standing up.
“I’m gonna go to Jeonghan’s for the night.” he said calmly, almost as if there was nothing wrong.
“No Mingyu please don’t,” you begged as you shot out of the bed, nearly running over to where he stood. He wouldn’t look at you. “Please just talk to me about it, I-”
“Talk? Y/N that’s all we do is talk, and clearly it hasn’t gotten us anywhere.” Mingyu pushed past you and walked over to where a jacket lay draped over a chair. “You tell me there’s nothing to worry about with Wonwoo. You tell me that I’m your priority and that I have no reason not to trust you, and then all in the same day you tell me you love me but would’ve cheated on me had I not been there to interrupt you? Because I was worried about you nonetheless?” Mingyu scoffed, placing his hand on the door handle. “Pick a side, I’m done talking.”
And just like that, you were alone, only the dim light of Mingyu’s bedside lamp to keep you company.
Tumblr media
You’d decided to sleep at Mingyu’s house that night despite him being gone, though you didn’t do much sleeping. But how could you? Jun had killed 4 people because of you, or Mingyu rather, but you were still involved somehow, and along with that, Mingyu was pissed at you. Again. You couldn’t blame him, though. He had every right to be. Again.
When morning came, you begrudgingly got out of Mingyu’s bed and walked over to where your phone lay on the chair that his jacket was on only a few hours ago. As you held it in your hand, you contemplated what to do, who to talk to. However you didn’t have to think long, apparently, as you clicked the call button next to Wonwoo’s name without a second thought.
“Hello?” he answered after a few rings, sounding less than excited to be hearing from you.
“Hey.” you sighed, “Listen, I know last night was weird, but I told Mingyu about it and now he’s gone and won’t talk to me, so can I please just come home? You don’t have to talk to me or anything, I just don’t think Mingyu wants me here anymore.” Wonwoo was silent on his end of the call and you were holding your breath in anticipation.
“Obviously you can come home, you pay just as much rent as I do.” he replied, causing you to exhale in relief.
“Thank God, thank you.” you ran a hand through your hair. “I’m gonna skip out on class today, so I’ll be home in a little b-”
“Great.” Wonwoo deadpanned, before abruptly ending the call. You were surprised at his shortness, though you quickly realized you shouldn’t have been. How on earth did you manage to make the two people you were closest to mad at you at the same time? Were you seriously that stupid? And selfish? You tried not to think about it as you put away the few things that you had taken out of your bag since you’d arrived at Mingyu’s house.
You put on some normal street clothes and grabbed both your clothing bag and your school bag, thankfully avoiding Chan as you exited the cute little house. You really liked the young vampire, but you didn’t want to have to explain everything that had happened last night to him.
You felt weird, burdened even, walking home with two bags. You hadn’t really walked anywhere in so long, thanks to Mingyu and his luxurious automobile. Again you’d decided to give him some space, no matter how much you wanted to beg and plead for him to forgive you. You didn’t deserve it… you didn’t deserve him, and you knew that.
You finally approached your front door and fumbled for your key, unlocking it once you got the golden piece of metal out of your bag.
“It’s not even that bad!” you heard a perky voice say from your couch. You closed the door and dropped your stuff, being as loud as you could to get Wonwoo and the girl’s attention. They both whipped their heads toward you, though the girl on the couch wasn’t coffee shop girl, it was the girl who had checked him out in class way too obviously at the beginning of the semester. She was pretty… really pretty. “Oh, hi! Um, who’re you?”
“Y/N. I live here.” you replied, giving her a not-so-friendly look.
“Oh yeah! I recognize you, you’re in one of my classes.”
“Yeah,” you nodded, “can you go now?”
The girl’s expression fell. She looked over at Wonwoo, who was looking down at his hands that rested in his lap.
“I, uh… I guess so.” she shrugged as she stood up from the couch. She gave Wonwoo one last look; he was still avoiding eye contact. “It was nice meeting you, or… seeing you, I guess.” she stepped over Wonwoo’s feet and over your bags before heading out the door.
“Well she seems lovely.” you said, annoyed, as you walked so you were standing in front of him. “Did you or did you not make sure that she’d be here when I got home just to do what? Piss me off?” you asked with your hands on your hips, not really expecting him to stoop so low.
“Not really, but I’m not mad that it turned out that way.” Wonwoo shrugged as he stood up, beginning to walk toward his room.
“When did you get so vengeful? I know it doesn’t mean much, but every time I’ve hurt you it’s never been on purpose. Don’t you know that?” Wonwoo stopped in his tracks.
“I’ve let you walk all over me for years, Y/N. Years.” he turned around to face you. “Without a word. Then you have the audacity to fuck with my feelings in every way imaginable? How is that not hurting me on purpose?”
Your jaw dropped at his words. You were angry now, blood nearly boiling. You knew you didn’t treat him the best that you could sometimes, but him claiming that you ‘walked all over him for years’ was far too exaggerated for your liking.
“Are you kidding me?” you stepped closer to him. “I don’t mean to be crass, but you could’ve stepped up and told me how you felt at any given time. You liked me looong before Joshua came along, and even if you had fessed up when I was seeing him I still would’ve chosen you. I always liked you, Wonwoo, but I made due with people that weren’t you because I never thought we would happen. You could’ve done the same thing, but you didn’t. You decided to wallow around in self pity, wishing that you could have me, when the entire time you could have, you just refused to say something. Why you went about everything that way I don’t know, but don’t go blaming me, saying I walked all over you, when in reality you chose to sit back and watch me try to get over you by being with other people.” You pushed past Wonwoo, whose jaw was clenched, and went into your room before he could say anything in response.
You leaned against your door, resting the palm of your hand on your forehead. Well that was a lot of pent up feelings brought to the surface, you thought. You tried debating with yourself, telling yourself that you were too harsh on him, that you were overdramatic when you spoke, but you really didn’t think that you were. Like you’d said, you would’ve happily been with him at any time if he had told you how he felt, but he simply never did. Well, he did, but only when it was too late.
You wanted to unpack your things, but you’d left your bags by the door. In the event that Wonwoo was anywhere but his bedroom, it would be far too awkward to go back out there already. That being so, you plopped down on your bed before settling under the covers. You by no means meant to, but you found yourself falling into a deep, deep sleep.
Tumblr media
Wonwoo sat on the couch watching a random, only somewhat interesting television show, when there was a knock at the door. He sighed, pausing the show before standing up and turning the door handle. When he pulled it open, he came face to face with Jun.
“Oh, hey man. What’re you doing here?” Wonwoo asked casually.
“Hey, was just kinda bored and thought I’d stop by. You free?”
Jun liked Wonwoo enough, but the main reason for his friendship with the younger male was because Wonwoo was a one way ticket to you. One of his accomplices had seen you leaving Mingyu’s house not long ago with what seemed like all of your things, and Jun knew that he had to do it. Today.
“Uh, yeah. Y/N’s here, but I don’t think she’s coming out of her room anytime soon.” Wonwoo opened the door further to invite Jun inside. Jun smirked as he entered the small apartment.
“Really?” Wonwoo shut the door, “Why is that?” Jun stood by the couch with his arms crossed over his chest. He was feeling confident, and for what he had planned, he needed to be.
“We just… had a fight is all.” Wonwoo itched the back of his head as Jun let out a breathy laugh.
“Is that so?” Jun appeared to be looking at Wonwoo’s head, his forehead specifically, and it made Wonwoo feel very uneasy. “Then she won’t mind if I do this?”
“Wha-”
In the blink of an eye, Jun had grabbed the back of Wonwoo’s head and slammed it down onto the wooden coffee table, and due to Jun’s vampire strength, Wonwoo’s head broke the table, going right through it and hitting the tile floor. Wonwoo lay there, unconscious, and Jun stepped over his unmoving body.
Jun quietly opened your bedroom door and saw you asleep on your bed. You looked peaceful, cute even. He walked over to where you lay and sat by your feet on the edge of the mattress. You didn’t budge then, but when Jun slowly ran his pointer finger along your cheek, you jolted awake.
“Hello there Sleeping Beauty.” Jun said smugly. You immediately sat up, scrambling as far backwards as your bed would allow, getting as far away from him as you possibly could. “You really are beautiful.”
“Wha… What are you doing here?” you asked in a panic, unable, and almost unwilling, to believe that he was in your bedroom.
“Don’t act like you’re not happy to see me.” he smirked. You scoffed as a light sheen of sweat formed on your forehead. You tried not to let fear show on your face as you mentally planned your escape, hoping that you were strong enough to get out of his grasp if you needed to.
You decided to try and make a run for it, and you almost made it. Almost. You had tried to get out of bed, tried to run around him and get out of your apartment. Get out of his reach. But you’d forgotten all about his vampire abilities, and you were suddenly pinned to your bed simply by Jun’s hand on your throat.
“You’re gonna do everything I say or you die. Got it?” he asked, but you could barely breathe, let alone answer him. You nodded as you let out choked breaths and thanked the heavens when he finally released you. You sat up slowly, looking at him cautiously, your body tense in a way that it had never been before. All traces of smugness were gone from his face and that only made him and his broad frame all the more intimidating. “You’re gonna put your shoes on, walk out the door with me, and get in the car. Understood?” you nodded at his words once more before standing up. You walked over to your closet, slipping on a pair of shoes before turning to look at Jun. He nodded his head toward your door and you walked toward it, and soon, you felt his presence behind you. He reached by your side and grabbed the door handle, twisting in a sort of ominous way before lightly pressing your lower back, ushering you out of your bedroom.
You walked slowly, though when you turned the corner, the sight had a wave of pure horror washing over you. Tears flooded your eyes in an instant as you fell to your knees, crawling over to where Wonwoo lay unconscious.
“What did you do to him?!” you cried out through tears. You clumsily tilted his face toward you and noticed the large gash on his forehead. It only made you cry harder, the feeling of your heart breaking into two pieces masking the warmth of the tears falling down your cheeks.
“What I had to do.” Jun pulled you up by the back of your shirt, giving you no time to mourn. “Let’s go.” you took one last look at Wonwoo, unsure if you saw a natural rise and fall of his chest, before you were being shoved out the door.
You didn’t try to hide your tears. You hoped that someone would see the two of you, the tears on your face, how uncomfortable you were. You hoped that someone would intervene and somehow succeed at rescuing you, but there was not a single person in sight. It was your worst nightmare; you were alone with Jun.
He opened the passenger side door of a black vehicle and shoved you inside of it. You climbed into the seat much more willingly than you wanted to, and before you knew it, he was driving away with you as his captive.
Tumblr media
Mingyu had tried your phone at least a dozen times and you hadn’t answered. You’d left your phone charger at his house and he didn’t know why he’d called you so many times about a phone charger, but he chose not to question it. He’d started to worry once he realized you weren’t going to answer anytime soon. It wasn’t like you. He knew that you were trying to give him space, however he also knew that you wanted to talk to him, so him reaching out to you with you not answering? It was suspicious.
He called you one more time as he sat in his car, right in front of your door. Again, you didn’t answer. Mingyu let out a sigh and got out of his car, approaching your door with worry apparent on his features. When he knocked, no one answered. Not even Wonwoo. He knocked again, but still, nothing. He jiggled the handle, and much to his surprise, the door opened.
He opened it apprehensively, though the moment he saw the broken table and Wonwoo’s still body lying on the floor, he was rushing back into his car, panic coursing through his veins. He’d never driven so fast in his life as he made his way to the only place he thought you could be.
Jun’s house.
Tumblr media
You woke up in a dark room, only a small lamp in the corner providing light. A bag with clothes, underwear, and a picture frame sticking out of it lay in the corner. You could only assume he took it because he knew he’d be holding you prisoner. How thoughtful.
Your hands were tied behind a chair, your ankles tied to the legs of it, and there was an empty chair right in front of you. The last thing you remembered was being in the car with Jun; he must have knocked you out somehow, as you had a massive headache and a pulsating bump on your head. You were completely alone, with no idea of where you were or what was going to happen to you.
Nevermind, this was your worst nightmare.
You suddenly started to panic. You remembered that Mingyu was mad at you and Wonwoo was… dead? Unconscious? You didn’t know, but god you just hoped he was alive. You had no way of contacting anyone, and Mingyu was pissed at you, so why would he come looking for you? He wouldn’t figure out that you’re missing for days, maybe even a week given how upset you assumed he was.
You were snapped out of your thoughts when you heard the door open, then saw feet approaching you.
“Well, well, well…” Jun spoke as he plopped down on the seat in front of you. “You look prettier tied to a chair than I thought you would.”
“What do you want?” you asked angrily, trying not to show that you were scared of him, scared of the entire situation.
“You know what I want.” he crossed his arms, leaning back in the chair. “To, I don’t know, completely destroy Mingyu? You know, the pathetic excuse of a vampire? Your boyfriend? Or… is that over now?” you clenched your jaw at his words. If he was gonna kidnap you, the least he could do was keep his nose out of your romantic life. You weren’t going to answer him. You looked around the room, avoiding his eyes. “So you’re gonna give me the silent treatment, huh?” Jun said playfully as he stood up, “Don’t worry if you dumped him, I’m not judging. I would pick Wonwoo too.”
“I didn’t pick anyone.”
“Really? Why not? Isn’t that exactly what boy toy Mingyu wants you to do?”
“How the fuck do you know so much? If you’re gonna make us miserable the least you could do is stay out of our personal lives.” you dodged.
“I’m quite observant, and you forget that Wonwoo and I were friends. He talked a lot more than I expected him to. Or, he talked about you a lot more than I expected him to.” you were boiling with rage.
“You’re a piece of shit.”
“A handsome piece of shit though, right?”
You decided to stop talking again. You knew there was no point in trying to get anything useful out of him. Jun waited a few more minutes, and when he realized you were officially done feeding his fire, he sauntered toward the door.
“I’ll be back. Soon.”
Tumblr media
Mingyu pounded on Jun’s front door, so much so that there were multiple dents in it by the time someone opened it.
“What the fuck are you do-”
“Where is that asshole?!” Mingyu yelled pushing past the small male that opened the door. He looked around the house, but there was no sight of either of you. Mingyu heard someone calling after him, telling him to leave the house, but he didn’t care. He ran up the stairs, taking them two at a time, before he was kicking open door after door.
Each room appeared empty.
He went into all of them, checking closets and bathrooms, but they were all vacant. He locked eyes on a door at the end of the hallway, but just as he was making his way towards it, just as the handle was almost in his reach, he was being dragged away. There must’ve been 4 or 5 people tearing him away from his destination, because he couldn’t fight them off, not even when he was trying his hardest. He screamed at them, telling him to get the hell off of him, but of course, they didn’t listen.
He fought and dragged his feet until he was being thrown outside the front door, his ass hitting the concrete with a thud.
“Stay out of here, piece of shit.” one of the men spit, but Mingyu didn’t have the energy to reply. They slammed the door in front of him, and the second they were out of sight, Mingyu was laying on his back in defeat, tears forming in his eyes.
Tumblr media
Wonwoo woke up on the floor, his head pounding as if someone was punching it over and over again from the inside. The blood from his wound had dried, and he was totally dazed at first, but once his eyes locked on the broken table in front of him, his memories flooded back.
Jun.
As if it was an instinct, Wonwoo stood up as fast as he could and rushed into your room, his panicked state only worsening when he noticed that you weren’t in there. He ran back to the living room, checking to see if you’d taken anything with you. But, sure enough, your phone, your wallet, and your keys were all still in your bag, and it didn’t take Wonwoo long to figure out what had happened.
Wonwoo bolted out the front door, feet moving faster than ever as he ran toward Jun’s house. He’d only been there a few times, and he barely remembered the way, but he tried his best to recall it. He quickly ran out of breath, but he didn’t stop, even as the setting sun nearly blinded him. As he slowed his pace to a jog, he noticed a familiar figure walking in his direction.
“Mingyu!” Wonwoo yelled. Mingyu noticed the older male and ran toward him. “Where is she? What happened?” Wonwoo demanded, a bit too suspicious that this whole situation had something to do with Mingyu.
“Jun, he took her. I was just at his place and I checked all but one of the rooms on the second floor, they dragged me out before I could get to it.” “Okay? So we go back and check it! She has to be there!” Wonwoo pushed past Mingyu, but Mingyu grabbed his wrist.
“They’re not gonna let us in!” Mingyu unintentionally raised his voice. “We’ve gotta get in some other way.”
“Okay, and what way is that?”
“I don’t know,” Mingyu sighed, “I’ve never been there. There’s gotta be a window or something?”
“Yeah,” Wonwoo nodded, “yeah there’s a lot on the second floor.”
“So we go back to my place, get the ladder from my garage, and go back there later, okay?” Mingyu said calmly, and though he was hesitant, Wonwoo agreed.
“Okay, fine…” an awkward silence fell between the two men as they stood on the concrete, the sky above them growing darker. “So do we just… stay together until then?”
“Uh, yeah. I guess so.” Mingyu shrugged. “Come on, we’ll come back when it’s dark out.” Mingyu nodded his head in the direction of his house before he started walking. Wonwoo followed him without a word. He wasn’t Mingyu’s biggest fan, as everyone knew, but he was yours, so if that meant having to spend an entire evening with Mingyu, he was all for it.
The walk was silent, but when Mingyu’s house came into view, Wonwoo was honestly happy that you had been staying there. It was far less depressing than your little apartment. The inside of the house was really nice, too, and Wonwoo suddenly felt bad that he couldn’t provide the same for you. No wonder you’d picked Mingyu…
Tumblr media
Your arms had gone numb from being tied to the chair, and though you’d tried to fall asleep, you were in too uncomfortable of a position to do so. You knew the situation was worse than bad when you were almost excited to see Jun enter the room.
“Shower time!” he said happily, walking over to you with pep in his step. He bent down and untied the rope around your ankles, then walked behind you and untied your wrists. He held your arms back and began massaging them, an uneasy feeling coursing through your veins as he did. “If you move them too fast you’ll hurt yourself.” he explained, almost kindly. You said nothing as he gripped your arms gently, slowly moving them down to a natural position. Once they were by your sides again, he massaged them a few more times before letting go of you. You thought about thanking him, but that seemed insanely inappropriate.
“Can I get up?” you asked, attitude evident in your tone.
“Of course.” he replied, gently pushing you out of the chair by the top of your back. You stood up hesitantly, throwing a dirty look over your shoulder as you began to walk out of the room. Jun kept his hand on the small of your back at all times as he guided you out of the room you were in and into the bathroom that was a few doors down.
The bathroom was even nicer than Mingyu’s. A small chandelier hung from the ceiling and the shower was so large that it had two shower heads instead of one, no curtains or doors in sight. You tried not to look impressed, given that you were being held hostage.
“Nice isn’t it? A friend of mine designed it.” he told you casually, but you said nothing as you stood there, arms crossed over your chest. “Everything you need should be in there, but let me know if you need anything else.” Jun pulled his phone out of his pocket before sitting down on the toilet seat. You furrowed your eyebrows.
“You’re staying in here?” you inquired, causing him to look up at you.
“Yeah.” he shrugged as if it was normal. “There’s a window in there and I don’t want you getting any ideas.” he smirked as if you were playing some sort of game.
“I’m not showering with you in here.” you stated matter-of-factly.
“You can just take your clothes off in the shower, I won’t even be able to see you.” he explained. “That is, unless you want me to see you?”
“You’re disgusting.” you spit as you stepped into the shower, making sure that Jun couldn’t see any part of you before you started undressing. Once all of your clothes were off, you turned the water on and, much to your surprise, it was warm almost instantly. Admittedly, it felt nice. The water, the calm lighting, the luxurious bathroom. You just wish it was under any other circumstance.
“How is it?” he asked kindly.
“Fine.” you replied as you began washing your hair.
“You know I don’t have anything against you, right?”
“Yeah yeah, it’s all about revenge on Mingyu. That still doesn’t make kidnapping me okay.”
“Well, you’re an adult, so it’s not really kid-napping, is it?” he attempted to joke, but you just scoffed. You were not in the mood for jokes.
He stayed quiet as you finished showering, conditioning your hair and using the bar of soap to cleanse your tired body. When you were done, you turned off the water and asked Jun for a towel, making sure to emphasize that you did not want him looking in the shower as he handed it to you, and you were only 99% sure that he didn’t.
You dried your hair to the best of your ability before wrapping the towel around your body and picking up your discarded clothes from the corner of the shower. Jun obviously checked you out, but you tried to ignore his gaze.
“Do you wanna change here or in your room?” Jun asked and you rolled your eyes.
“My room? You’re joking right?”
“I don’t know how long you’ll be here, so you might as well get comfortable.” you sighed, knowing that in some twisted way, he was right. “If you change in here I won’t look.”
“Okay, then bring me clean clothes.” you replied defensively. Jun seemed to have lost his cocky demeanor as he nodded and left you alone in the bathroom. You glanced over at the window, and though trying to climb out of it was a good idea, it looked a bit too small for you to fit through.
Jun returned not even a minute later with barely anything in his hands, just a t-shirt that you’d never seen before and a familiar pair of underwear in his hands. You rolled your eyes; you should’ve known he’d do something like that.
“Really? You rob my house to get clothes of mine to give me after you hold me hostage, then you give me a shirt that’s not even mine? Classy.” you mocked as you snatched the clothes from his hands.
“I-... Sorry, I’ll get you something else.” he shook his head before leaving the bathroom once more. You stood in the warm room, confused, unable to comprehend what had just happened. He returned with a sweater and a pair of pajama pants, both of which you recognized as yours. He held them out to you and you took them hesitantly.
“Thanks…?”
“I’ll just... wait out here.” he told you and left you alone in the bathroom once more. You definitely preferred nice Jun, but you were also confused by him. His behavior had changed so quickly, and his kindness somehow only made him seem more threatening.
You let out a sigh as you threw on the clothes, finally feeling decently comfortable after having showered and not tied to a chair. You turned off the light and opened the door, though as you went to walk out, you ran right into Jun’s back.
“Oh, sorry.” you muttered, causing him to turn around.
“No worries.” he shrugged with a small smile, “After you.” he stepped out of your way and motioned in front of him as if to tell you to go in front of him. You gave him a weird look before leaving the bathroom and began making your way back to “your” room. Jun followed closely behind you, but kept his hands to himself. You went to open the door, but the knob wouldn’t turn.
“Uh…” you turned over your shoulder and looked up at him.
“Right.” he replied. You watched silently as he reached up on top of the doorframe, grabbing a key off of it before bringing his arm back down, smiling down at you as he did so. You gulped as he looked into your eyes, having forgotten that you’d found the male attractive before you found out he was a stubborn, revenge-seeking, borderline psychopath.
He put the key in the hole and turned it, and the door swung open after that. You walked in the room, and it looked much different than it did before. There were no chairs and no ropes, just a perfectly made bed and far too many lit candles scattered across the room, sitting upon various objects.
“Is this your attempt at seducing me or something?” you asked, a bit of distaste in your voice.
“Not unless you want it to be.” he replied suavely as he shut the door behind the two of you.
“Definitely not. It’s too cult-y.” you told him as you sat on the bed, causing him to laugh a little bit. “Why are you doing all this?”
“I just…” Jun sighed as he sat on the opposite end of the bed, “I know you think I have no empathy or whatever-”
“Yes that would be correct.” you interrupted, and Jun rolled his eyes.
“But this isn’t anything against you, so I don’t want you to take it personally.”
“Right,” you scoffed. “Because kidnapping me, keeping me as your prisoner, and slamming my best friend’s head through a table isn’t supposed to be personal?” you scooted closer to him, unable to believe how big his ego was. “And not to mention those kids that you, what, murdered? And why? Just to prove to Mingyu that you’re as big and bad as you used to be?” You spit, looking right into his eyes. “You’re despicable.” your jaw was clenched, your teeth gritting together so hard you thought they might break.
Jun looked hurt by your words, if hurt was even an emotion he was capable of feeling. He closed his eyes and started to say something, but stopped himself. He slowly pushed himself off of the bed and walked over to the door, his hand on the doorknob.
“I’ll check on you in a bit.”
Tumblr media
“So your plan is to… stab him?” Wonwoo asked, not yet convinced that Mingyu had a solid plan. Mingyu sighed.
“You know that wooden stake to the heart vampire myth?” Mingyu asked, and Wonwoo nodded. “Well, it’s true. But, if you stake a vampire with a certain kind of wood, it’ll paralyze them. They only stop being paralyzed once someone takes the stake out of them, so once we stake Jun, we’ve just gotta put him somewhere where none of his little minions will be able to find him.” Wonwoo nodded at Mingyu’s explanation, thinking it seemed easy enough.
“Will two of us be enough to take him on? I mean, if he has... minions or something.”
“No, but I’ve got some of my friends coming over to go with us, so we should be fine.” Mingyu replied, and right as he finished talking, the front door opened. “Wait why is Seungkwan here?” Mingyu asked, slightly upset, as he stood up. Seungkwan’s expression fell at Mingyu’s words.
“I-I just wanna help if I can, Y/N’s really nice.” Seungkwan shrugged, a slight pout on his face.
“I tried getting him to stay home, but he wanted to come.” Vernon shrugged.
“Seungkwan it’s way too dang-”
“Already tried that.” Vernon interrupted. “Not gonna work.”
Mingyu sighed, putting the bridge of his nose in between his thumb and pointer finger.
“Fine, the more the merrier I guess.” he conceded. “But if you die, it’s not on me.”
“Understood.” Seungkwan nodded as he watched Mingyu approach Jeonghan.
“Did you bring it?” he asked the older male.
“You know I did.” Jeonghan said with a smirk on his face, taking a wooden box out of the bag on his shoulder. He opened it to reveal a simple looking wooden dagger, the end of it coming to a perfect point. Wonwoo watched everything unfold, jaw slightly agape. He felt like he was in a movie. “Who gets to do the honor?”
“Mingyu, obviously.” Jihoon interjected.
“Fair enough.” Jeonghans sighed. “He always gets to have all the fun.” he took the dagger out of the box and handed it to Mingyu.” “I don’t really consider this fun.” Mingyu muttered as he tucked the dagger into his back pocket. “Are we taking your car?” he directed toward Jeonghan, and Jeonghan nodded. “Then let’s go.”
Wonwoo felt a bit lost, though he felt a little better when Seungkwan approached him. The younger male didn’t say anything, just put a comforting hand on Wonwoo’s shoulder and walked out of the house with him.
Mingyu exited the house through the garage, while everyone else left through the front door. Mingyu grabbed his unusually large ladder and a few bungee cords, then met the others out by Jeonghan’s car. Mingyu and Vernon quickly secured the ladder to the roof of the car before cramming themselves inside of it. Due to the lack of room, Vernon ended up on Seungkwan’s lap, causing Seungkwan to casually wrap his arms around his partner’s waist.
“When we get there, we’ve gotta move fast, alright? I don’t know how much time we’ll have.” Mingyu instructed the group.
“I’ll climb the ladder.” Wonwoo interjected, surprising himself, and everyone else.
“Dude, do you wanna die?” Jihoon asked from the front seat. “Jun’s old as shit and he feeds on humans, he could snap you in half.”
“I don’t care, it’s Y/N.” Wonwoo argued seriously. But he knew the stranger talking to him from the front of the car was right. It didn’t matter who saved you as long as they got you back alive and breathing. “But if I don’t go then who does?”
“Jeonghan’s probably the strongest since he’s the oldest, but if she’s up there I just-” Mingyu stopped himself. He was going to go on about how if you were up there, but they couldn’t get you out, he wanted to at least see you. Just once. Though he knew Wonwoo was in the same boat, and as much as he hated that fact, he couldn’t be that selfish. “Jeonghan will you go?”
“You know it, Gyu.” Jeonghan said as he put the car into drive and set off to Jun’s house. The ride was short, tense, and silent. The only time anyone spoke was when Mingyu whispered a short “It’s gonna be fine” to Wonwoo, who clearly needed the reassurance.
Wonwoo’s hands perspired as they pulled up to the ominous looking house, all of the windows having been covered by curtains from the inside. Jeonghan parked across the street from the house in an empty driveway as to draw as little attention to themselves as possible. Taking the ladder off of the top of the car was a little conspicuous, but other than that, they just seemed like a group of guys hanging out.
After everyone had gotten out of the car, they quickly ran across the street to where Jun’s house was. Mingyu, knowing that all but one of the rooms didn’t have you in it, guided the group to the window of the one room he never got to see the inside of.
“I’m gonna go up behind you, okay?” Mingyu said to Jeonghan as the men swiftly set up the ladder. The older male simply nodded before he started climbing. “You guys keep a lookout.” Mingyu demanded as he started up the ladder as well.
Jeonghan wasted no time in opening the window (that for some odd reason wasn’t locked) and pulling back the curtains. The men on the ground watched intensely as he looked around the room and were instantly confused as to why he wasn’t climbing into the house. Jeonghan pulled his head out of the window and looked down at his hopeful friends.
“She’s not in there…” he uttered, almost unable to believe it even after seeing the empty room.
“Wh… What do you mean she’s not in there?” Mingyu asked from the middle of the ladder, his heart falling into his stomach.
“I mean she’s not in there!” Jeonghan yelled as both him and Mingyu started climbing down the ladder.
Wonwoo couldn’t explain what he was feeling if he tried. He thought they’d come so close to finding you, he thought he was so close to seeing you safe and sound again, and you weren’t even there. His heart was heavy as tears brimmed in his eyes.
Mingyu, on the other hand, was purely enraged.
“If she’s not here, then where the fuck is she?” Mingyu asked the group, his jaw clenched.
Everyone just stood around awkwardly, silently. Everyone was upset, and for the most part, no one could think of the right words to say. That was, until Seungkwan spoke up.
“ Mingyu I-... I don’t know.”

some of you had asked about my job as a busser before and i'm just here to say that i'm quitting tomorrow!!
i'm not a very big or strong person and there's a lot of heavy lifting involved, so it's taken a toll on me physically, and there's plenty of aspects that have taken a toll on me mentally. when i'm not working, i'm doing nothing, in preparation for the mental and physical strength i'll need to have when i am working, and it's a truly exhausting process.
i'm looking for another job now, hopefully one that won't be nearly as taxing, and when i find it i really hope i can start writing again. to any of you who miss me posting, i'm so sorry, but i'm still here and hope to be posting regularly again soon.
thank you for understanding,
j <3

hi hi 🥺 i’m anon asking abt maybe you could make a list of the fics you’re planning to do? just so i know if my requests are like sent thru bc my wifi is really really bad and tbh idk if it sent
hi! i only have 3 things in the works rn :) one is a full on fic (that i'm not giving details on cause i want it to be a surprise ;D) and a short little mingyu fluff drabble!!
hunger is still in the works as well, i'll be posting random imagines that weren't requested here and there, and there's also a few requests i'm considering writing but haven't started on yet!!
when i'm not busy with work and/or trading and selling pc's and albums and stuff (you wouldn't think it's stressful but it can be lol), i'm pretty tired and sometimes unmotivated so that's why i've been so slow 🥺
there's some requests i've decided not to write, but there's a few that i want to start on but am waiting to finish other things first :)) if you want to resend your request just in case i wouldn't mind at all!

hii can i request a mutual pining fluff where you and your friend wonwoo get caught in the rain and he gets cold easily so you try to keep him warm by hugging him while you both seek shelter at a bus stop <3 and if you don’t mind it being a bit longer, maybe he gets sick after so you go over to take care of him and it ends with the 2 of you cuddling because the blankets aren’t warm enough
