          DESPITE THE GIRL TELLING HIM NOT to apologize, nova felt the need to do so, considering the fact that he almost gave her a heart attack. plus, it didn’t seem that the guy who hit the ball was going to properly say sorry, so as the captain, he had to do that. “ you don’t need to thank me. i’m glad i got to you first, ” he smiled, looking at his team and making them a sign to gather their stuff. they had enough for the day and nova would rather go back home, than dealing with stubborn children, since in that moment, his boys were acting like five years olds anyway. “ are you going home ?? let’s go together. ”

“Yeah, I’m glad you did too. I don’t even want to think about how disastrous that could have been if you didn’t..” She almost visibly winced at the thought, her face dully throbbing, obviously just a fraction of the pain that she would be feeling if the collision between the ball and her face actually happened. “I really should have been paying more attention to where I was going anywhere. It’s not just their fault, I’m at fault here too.” She didn’t want Nova to scold his team because of a mishap. “I’m going home. Are you finished here? I don’t want to take you away from practice.”

that satifying feeling just before going to bed after a ridiculously long day was something no one could ever get tired of. not if your bed is comfortable enough to feel like you’re resting on thousands of fluffy clouds. though this wasn’t exactly miso’s case, she enjoyed every single little thing she had, including that hard piece of wood they called bed. she entered her dorm, uninterestedly placing her belongigs wherever she could. “ hey, you came earlier today. ” she mentioned, giving her roommate a couple of glances. miso threw herself between the blankets, with no energy left she sighed. “ you’re sad. don’t lie to me. i see the pouty thing you do. ” her arms calling sookie to get closer, miso was unable. 

There was nothing more frustrating than dealing with a professor who thought they knew everything. It wasn’t Sookie’s fault that her professor had made an error on that powerpoint slide he had put together for class and she pointed out his mistake. Was that really so wrong of her? Wrong enough that he felt the need to deduct points from the assignment that she had turned in? She couldn’t really prove that was the reason why she had gotten a B instead of an A, but she just knew that it had to be why. She sighed heavily under her breath, lazily scrolling through her phone. “Hey,” she murmured half heartedly, before looking at her confused. “Sad? I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She shrugged her shoulders, trying to straighten out her expression.

jun wanted to maintain a reasonable distance at best, though felt himself go limp when she reached out to caress him. the truth was, he couldn’t stay upset at her for too long. it was sookhee, of all people. they could’ve gotten into a fight the day before and he’d find himself at her doorstep the next morning with a bouquet of flowers, guilty and ready to apologize. he’d like to think he was above everything, but he had a unique weakness for her. “you’re my kryptonite,” he said lowly, quiet enough for only the two of them to hear. jun locked his gaze on her for a solid ten seconds before breaking the tension with a smug grin. “you need to find better ways of dealing with stress,” he teased, bringing the used cigarette to his mouth, “you’re not getting any younger, you know?”

Sookie knew that the bond that she and Jun shared wasn’t one that many people could understand. They were friends, although there was something different about the way that they treated each other. A little bit better than most friends usually would, but she didn’t really think much of it anyway. Other people’s opinions of their friendship didn’t faze her, the only thing she cared about was Jun and making sure that he was okay. His words brought a slight smile to her face. She knew that he could never stay upset with her, much like how she could never stay upset with him. There bond was too strong and too special to allow petty arguments to ruin it. “I know.” She kept his gaze for a moment, before looking away, her face turning red from the intensity of it. “And you don’t?” She challenged, before gasping in mock offense. “Aigoo, stop it! I’m not old.”

          HE DIDN’T HAVE TIME TO CATCH the bag as well and honestly, he hoped sookie didn’t have something fragile inside of it, since now her bag was resting on the ground. but what was more important was the fact that she was alright, right ?? taking a deep breath, he pulled back so he could look at the girl, head tilting ever so slightly. “ are you alright, sookie ?? ” nova was aware of the fact that someone showing up next to you out of nowhere would startle anyone, so he wanted to make sure he didn’t scare the poor girl that badly. nova smiled kindly at her, reaching to grab and lift the bag from the ground. “ sorry if i scared you. my boys aren’t used to outside practices, since we usually use the class, so they didn’t realize hitting the ball to hard might cause an accident. ”

Luckily for Sookie, she hadn’t been carrying her laptop with her that day. All of her classes she had scheduled for that day all required notes to be handwritten or they had the equipment they would need for the class on campus in the classrooms. The only thing she had of value that was breakable was her phone, which was safely tucked away in the back pocket of her jeans. “Yeah, I’m okay.” She was a little shaken of course. Who wouldn’t be after almost being hit in the face with a flying ball? That wouldn’t have brought about a good end to her day, that was for sure. “You scared me a little bit, but I would rather be a little scared than dealing with a broken and bloody nose. You don’t have to apologize. Thank you for saving me.”

jun watched her inhale and exhale as smoke enshrouded them both. it didn’t quite suit her, that bad girl image. she had a personality of a peach; even looked like one, too. but jun guessed, as he turned his head away, that it was pointless to mull over things like that. he cleared his throat, sniffed the morning air, and sighed. “you’re the one with plans all the time,” he mumbled, “i don’t see how that’s any of my fault.” it was true. she was the one always leaving, always pushing him to the back burner because something came up. it was always something, and while jun had his own reservations about the situation, he couldn’t really bring himself to say anything– else he’d look like a jackass. “and listen, i know you’re stressed and all, but could you not smoke?” he took the cigarette from her and held it high, like he was holding candy from a child. “just take it out on me. come on, noona, give it all you got.”

“That’s not true, I don’t have plans all the time.” She frowned slightly at his words, guilt washing over her. Usually she wouldn’t have bothered to refute statements like that. If people thought that she was avoiding them, then that was their issue, not hers. But she didn’t want Jun to think that she would ever ignore or avoid him. The last thing she wanted was to make him feel as though she was just brushing him to the side. “I always make time for you when I can.” She just had a bad habit of throwing herself into her studies and retreating in on herself. It was so much easier to be alone than to be in the presence of others, but being in Jun’s presence was a little bit better than being in the presence of anyone else. “You were just about to smoke!” She protested, her eyes narrowing when he held the cigarette above his head, way out of reach for her, even if she stood on her toes. “Why would I take it out on you? You’re my precious little baby.” Sookie felt a smile tug at her lips as she gently pinched at his face.

“That’s a disgusting habit Jun,” Sookie chastised as she came up behind him, plucking the cigarette from between his lips before he could light it. She then went on to place the stick between her own lips, fishing around in her bag for the lighter she kept stashed away. “If you’re going to smoke, you can at least let your favorite noona take the first puff,” she mumbled around the cigarette, her fingers finally grasping the tiny lighter. She flicked her thumb against it a few times before it finally lit, and she breathed in the thick smoke. She didn’t smoke often, only when she was feeling particularly stressed out. “Where have you been?” She asked after breathing out a cloud of smoke. “It feels like I haven’t seen you in a while. Are you avoiding me?”

       Daniel  was  just  coming  back  from  his  favorite  fast  food  place,  his  drink  and  bag  of  delicious  goodies  occupying  both  hands  when  he  spotted  a  familiar  figure  not  too  far  from  him  sitting  down.  Smirking  to  himself,  he  quietly  bee  -  lined  in  there  direction  but  avoided  being  seen  as  he  slowly  crept  up  behind  their  chair.  Instead  of  scaring  them,  he  simply  hung  his  head  low  enough  to  sneak  at  what  they  were  doing,  back  hunched  over.  A  minute  had  passed  when  he  finally  spoke  up  from  behind  his  victim.  ❝  Whatcha  doin’  ?  ❞  He  innocently  asked,  chuckling  to  himself  as  he  pulled  out  the  empty  seat  next  to  them.

Most days you could find Sookie with her head buried in a book, both for her own pleasure and for the sake of a school assignment, and that day was no different. She had just flicked the page and entered the seventh chapter of the book she was reading when she felt a presence behind her. She paused for a moment, stiffening slightly. They didn’t say anything, so she continued on with her reading, once again losing herself in the printed text, before she heard a familiar voice. Her expression immediately morphed into one of irritation, and she sighed, not removing her gaze from her book. “Besides being annoyed by you? Reading.”

          USUALLY, THE VOLLEYBALL TEAM HAD ALWAYS an empty class for their practices, but that day, something happened and they had to carry their practice outside. it wasn’t a big problem, but there were enough people stopping by just to watch, which usually wouldn’t bother nova, since his big ass ego thrived under all that attention; however, they were all tired and some things weren’t working out as nova would have liked. “ be careful !! ” he yelled, running towards the person standing way too close, one arm grabbing them by their waist and pulling them away, barely avoiding the ball that was coming at them with speed.

After a long day of classes, it was safe to say that Sookie was exhausted. She wanted nothing more than to go back to her dorm and crawl under the covers and sleep for a few hours, and she was going to do just that. With her bag firmly grasped in one of her hands, the other digging around inside for her phone, she walked across the campus towards the dormitory. She went to step out and walk across the field she usually cut across on her way home when she felt someone grab her waist and pull her back, causing her to drop her bag in the process. She let out a startled yelp, her hand covering her mouth. “Oh!” She turned around to face the person who had just saved her, heart racing. “..Thanks.”

she was born and raised in jinsari, south korea. she didn’t have much of anything growing up because her parents struggled to make ends meet, but they did their best to make up for that by giving her a lot of love and support.

she didn’t grow up with any siblings, she was an only child

she’s always been a little bit on the quieter side of things, but she’s not afraid to speak up for what she believes in and she’s got a good head on her shoulders 

ever since she was a little girl, she was at the top of her class. a shining example of what the perfect student should be 

she was always seen as a pretty face with nothing else to offer. even though she was smart, people always referred to her looks as her strongest attribute and not her brain, and that really pissed her off. she began to work even harder to prove to those people that her brain was just as big of an asset to her as her supposed good looks

she’s always had a knack for technology and even though her parents didn’t have any money to buy her all of the things she wanted, through different clubs and organizations at her school, she was able to discover her love for it 

she had to balance part time jobs with school from the time she was thirteen up until she entered college because her parents struggled to make ends meet. over the years she went from working at a hair salon, two fast food restaurants and a daycare. 

she had gotten into three colleges on full ride scholarships

she was a sophomore in college when she got the call telling her that her parents had passed away in a house fire back home, and she broke down. they were the only family that she had, her best friends, and they were gone. she took a two year break from college and then she came back 

after her parents passed away she became even more closed off and reserved than she already was, and it’s a struggle for her to let people in because she’s afraid that she’ll end up losing them like she lost her parents

like i said before, she’s really quiet and reserved, but that doesn’t mean that she’ll let someone walk all over her. a lot of people mistake her quietness for weakness, and they usually ends up shocked when they try to pull one over on her and she bites their head off 

she’s a very helpful person, like if she sees someone struggling she won’t hesitate to offer to help them out. she works as a tutor at the university and she loves it. it makes her feel good to know that she’s helping other people succeed 

she hasn’t been in that many serious relationships, her most serious being the one she was in right before her parents passed away and she ended that because she couldn’t see herself being in a relationship at that time because she was too heartbroken by the death of her parents and she needed time to grieve
