C: "I'm gonna go check on the factory."
L: "Not on your own, you're not."
Lisa was not willing to come close to losing Carla again.

Lisa accepting she needed counselling in Carla's arms was everything. She must've felt so grounded and secure in her arms in that moment to be able to admit that.

Lisa thought after Becky that was it she'd be on her own, but she isn't. She found Carla, and she's so incredibly happy she's found someone who has accepted her and her daughter and is happy that although it was hard for Betsy to see Lisa with someone else and moving on, she's accepted Carla into their family dynamic.
That smile she gave just observing them on the sofa after talking about moving shows there's no one else she'd rather be 'normal, horribly boring and happy' with.

09/06/25- "I'm going for a walk"
Lisa used to open up to Carla a lot more freely when they weren't together. The car scene. Her visiting Carla at the factory. The hospital scene after Carla was attacked.
To me, that is because after she opened up to Carla, she could run. She could open up and she could hide because at the time they were just friends. Lisa could go home, and she wouldn't have to face Carla and the reality of opening up.
But now they're living together in the flat, and opening up means that Lisa has nowhere to hide, and she has to face that reality of Carla being around. Which is why she went on a walk. She could see Carla's worry she could see that if she opened up to Carla in that moment, she'd have nowhere to go and hide, so instead, a walk was the best option. An escape.

Was Lisa saying that she doesn't "do well with nice" an indication that maybe when she felt like this in her relationship with Becky, she was made to feel small and that her feelings were disregarded and judged which is why now she has Carla, someone who truly cares about her and just wants Lisa to be okay she pushes it away because she's never known this level of love. She's never known this level of someone actually truly caring for her and wanting her to be okay. She's never had someone there in her corner who makes her feel seen or heard.
