Tips:

1. I highly recommend that you make sure that your legs are freshly shaved before applying either product.

2. It Stays can also be used to help hold a wig cap in place.

3. If you are layering thigh-highs over a pair of panty hose you can also use It Stays to stick then together.

For those of you getting ready for con season (ahem, Kamicon), here’s an easy way to remove old makeup stains! Mix a bit of blue dish soap and peroxide together and scrub the stained area with it.

So much progress made on the Schoolgirl Madoka cosplay over the last few days! 

Skirt is now completely done, mockup looks pretty good so started the actual blouse (though would need to spend some good quality time with the iron once its done with how stubborn the fabric is being), and also begun the undershirt, though unfortunately no pictures of that yet. 

With how fast this has been progressing, I am hoping to have this done within the next couple weeks (which is good because there are two and a half more cosplays to go, with Detour only a month and a half away)! Stay tuned!

The ‘Open Book Cosplayer’ Project

There is a stigma in the cosplay community that most cosplayers would prefer to hide the tactics used in order to make a particular cosplay. This project is dedicated to raising awareness for those cosplayers who are open to being asked questions and more than willing to help those in need. In short, you are an ‘Open Book’ full of information for all who seek it. 

The badges above represent some of the most general topics of cosplay craftsmanship, including wig work, tailoring or sewing, prop making, and armor making. This does not mean that you claim to be a master of this or that type. It is simply to say you feel confident enough to answer questions on these subjects and in the event you don’t know, you’re good at re-directing them to someone who might know better.

By posting one of these badges, you are openly saying that you are more than welcome to take questions from cosplayers on your craftsmanship tactics and workings. Of course this in turn means that asking cosplayers should also know to credit and thank those that helped them out.
