like, look at this part-homo sapiens, part-neandertal man from well over 30,000 years ago:

people have been people ever since people first became people, i tell you what

they all had lives and histories and families and friends and dumb gossip and games they played and total bullshit in which they believed wholeheartedly

they all argued about the nature of the world, and of themselves

they all sang songs

they all drew pictures

they all buried their dead in graves, and they buried their dead in graves well before they did a lot of that other stuff. they buried their dead with flowers, with panther claws, with the bones of animals they’d killed, with the bones of family members who had died at the same time or earlier. they buried their dead with their arms folded across their chests

they fell in love

they took care of their old and their sick and their disabled, even when it cost them

they made new things, and worried about what the new things meant for people everywhere, as a whole

bowers gang headcanons pt. 1

They all have their own ways of comforting Henry after a run-in with his dad

They’re all super close, almost like brothers

They take the heat for each other often

They like sneaking out and camping outside under the stars

at least one of them is gay

Vic is the only one out of all of them with some common sense lmao

they buy a bunch of fireworks on the fourth of July and save them up almost all year to pull multiple firework pranks even when fireworks are out of season 

when one of them gets a gf which isn’t often the gal might as well be part of the gang now, no one messes with the bowers chick

rank of the guy is based on where they sit in the car. For example,  passengers seat = alpha because Henry’s rat ass can’t drive 

at least two of them enjoy some form of fine arts, but won’t be caught dead enjoying it

they’re actually really smart, especially as a collective group

even though they’re close, they usually keep their feelings to themselves.

A friendly reminder to those who seem to forget :)

About 99.9% of the time, when a fanfiction is written or when headcanons are written about the Bowers Gang, the writers are not forgiving the boys for their actions. I think they’re more so imagining the boys how they would be if the boys would have been different or if the book would have been a happier one. In no way shape or form are the boys in the Bowers Gang forgiven for their actions, what they occupied themselves with was awful and disgusting. 

It's always nice to take a villainous character and imagine what they would be like if the world was a bit different. It's optimistic. Especially for Henry, I think... if his father wasn’t so horrid, I bet Henry would be a pretty decent guy. But we’ll never know that for sure, because that’s not what went down in Stephen King’s mind. That’s why people write about the Powers Gang in a less negative light sometimes. 

Please keep that in mind!! :) I don’t think anyone in their right minds would forgive people for actions so awful. Have an open mind and be kind, loves!! <3
